The Search Begins

After about a good thirteen-hour flight from Tokyo to Domino city, in Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, the Hunters traveling with Urata disembarked and there was someone waiting for him when he gets off. It was the person who would set him up with what he needed when he got to Noreal "Urata Yachi?" he asks "My name is Xavier. I'm your Handler while you're in Domino. Come with me. I have you a temporary safehouse for you all set up." he says as he heads to a blacked-out SUV "You're just in time for the annual Duel Monsters: Battle City tournament. Stick around while I get things smoothed over in Noreal. They're having something of a crisis at the moment and aren't letting visitors across. No matter who they are." he explains as they take off "So, you Might be here for a while."

It was interesting being here for the first time. Urata had heard a bit about Domino city from people he knew but this was the first time he had been here in person. While he didn't have any interest in playing the game, he could maybe watch one or two things if he was going to be stuck here for a period.

"Hey its fine. I wasn't really expecting everything right away." He says as he goes to follow. "So who's the main person in charge of the Domino Hunter side of things?"

Katsura was second guessing herself being here. In her search to find answers she somehow found herself here, partially because of her sister and a strange gut feeling. Since she had little to go on and this power seemed to be alive, 'use the Force Luke' seemed like worth trying if nothing else was.

On face cam, she was talking to her sister about a thing or two while in her hotel. "..I don't know sis. Like you're usually good with these sorts of things but this is beyond looking for a needle in the haystack. How the hell are they suppose to find or do anything without some way to find them?"

"Well.." The older woman started adjusting her glasses. "I have two working thesis of this phenomena. The most fascinating one is.."

Katsura cut her sister off, knowing a rant was coming. "Short answer please? And one that doesn't make my head hurt. I know how you get when you get excited. This cosmic space magic stuff or whatever it is already is hard for me to understand.

Asano seemed slightly amused. "Very well. But I don't know why you insist when I know you're smart enough. Short of it, the system, whatever it is broken in some way or its working as intended. I can guess of why that may be but with so little to go on its hard to say. Second is you can, but its something you have to learn. I am honestly not sure why though. Giving people potential to become super beings but with little guidance or help seems strange."

 In response, she shrugged but put her phone down putting it on speak as she proceeded to get dressed, taking her shirt and pants off leaving them in their under clothes. "Like you said too little to go on. Maybe it just takes time, or they find you. Or maybe..ow!" In in the middle of putting her pants leg, she somehow had stumbled and fell.

"Katsura! Are you all right?!" Asano asked alarmed and not seeing what was happening.

"I'm fine!" She said quickly, the irrational irritated part when you embarrassed yourself and someone asked if you were ok was briefly there but faded quickly. "I just fell, but I'm fine. I'm just going to head out soon."

There was a pause, then they continued. "That's fine.." Then her voice turned playful. "At least its not like the other times you've done it. Or in front of anyone you liked. Like-"

Katusra was seemingly suddenly possessed with superhuman speed outside of her Celestial Knight form as she grabbed the phone before she could finish the embarrassing story. "I'm sorry. I can't hear you. There's static. Intference."

"Katsure, I know-"

Click.

With that taken care of. Katusra looked over herself briefly in the mirror. You're looking good. No time like the present. Satisfied, she left for the day but she didn't expect anything remotely interesting.

Xavier shakes his head "Don't worry about that. You're not likely to meet them anyway. Just hold up here and enjoy the tournament. We'll come get you when we manage to smooth things out on the Noreal side of things." he says as he heads out.

Autumn had her deck and her duel disk all set and ready! The Battle City tournament would begin Today at Noon! She Needed to be ready to rock and roll! She got kicked out of the top 25 because of her opponent having more cards than she did, but a bigger deck didn't mean a victory! Although in this case it did.

But she was ready this time! She spent a small fortune she had saved up from her part time job just to get a Few good cards, but this time, she would go All the Way!

She checks her cards and grabs her transformation watch before heading out, but pauses when she feels something odd about her Celestial Knight Power Coin, she's never felt anything like it before. It felt like a pull of some kind. Telling her to go somewhere.

She needed to out it out of her mind! Autumn needed to Focus! Battle City was here and she wanted to get out of the top fifty before it was over!

As they left, and no one really else to talk to, Urata was just quite as he went along for the ride. He still didn't know how exactly he was going to recruit said people, pretty sure they have their own lives they rather be doing. On top of that Negative Knights aside, whatever threat hadn't appeared yet.

He wished there was someone else that knew a lot more since he was still in the dark about a lot of things. If there was didn't seem they be running into them any time soon.

Katsura was pretty pumped about watching the games go on, she did get some looks. Either because of her good looks, horns or some thinking she was some odd cosplayer but that really didn't matter at the time being.

Autumn wanders over to the main plaza with the clock fountain, along with hundreds of other people, many participating in the tournament, many others weren't. There were others dressed up, cosplaying, as Duel Monsters.

When it hit noon Exactly, the announcement dropped! The Battle City Tournament was on! In addition to the participants, there were also "Boss" Duelists dotted in special areas around the city. They were the ones to beat for Serious points and Autumn was There for it! She had her warrior/magic-user deck and was ready to kick some Ass!

Urata was simply going to kill some time as he waited and grab something to eat. The dueling was going on, so maybe he would check that out too.

While Katsura didn't have any cards or anything with them, she did have a first row seat of some of the battles and that's what she Really was in for. With the holograms and such they had the battles really came to life a lot more then just normal card battling.

She might have to actually try to play one of these days instead of just watching and such.

Autumn had beaten a few low level duelists. Her deck was holding out and she was having. But now she faced a higher level duelist then she was thinking, originally. She needed to focus! She was facing a Breaker deck and this one could counter her spell user deck decently and her warriors would be hard to get out if she couldn't hold off any attacks. Still, she had Some tricks up her sleeves.

Autumn pulls out a card and frowns slightly. This wasn't the card she needed, and places it face down "I place one monster face down and one spell/trap down and I end my turn." she mumbles. Her duel was starting to gather a crowd.

Now this is interesting..

Urata saw a duel, and while he didn't know a lot about it in depth he knew a little bit. So since a crowd was gathering he decided it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Though, for reasons unknown it was almost like his coin was reacting a bit for lack of a better word.

Autumn's opponent frowns. He was concerned about those face down cards and while he couldn't do anything about the spell/trap card she had, he Could do something about those monster cards "I play Raigeki and destroy all the monsters on your side of the field!" he declares.

Autumn shakes her head "I play Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell and negate and destroy your spell card and as a bonus, you can't play another Raigeki card for the remainder of the duel." she says

The man frowns, cursing under his breath as he searches his hand for something to use, before he places a card face down on his monster field "I set one monster face down and end my turn..." he grumbles.

Autumn draws a card, then looks up to her opponent "Okay, this is the sequence of events: I flip summon my Man Eater Bug and destroy your face down card..." she says as a giant man shaped bug appeared and destroyed the face down monster card "I use my two face up monsters as tribute and summon Gaia the Fierce Knight and attack your face up monster, reducing your Life Points by One Thousand!" she says as a knight on a horse appeared and attacked his face up monster by thrusting his lance into it! "I place another card face down and end my... turn...?" she says, getting distracted and focusing on one person in the crowd. That person was Urata.

Urata wasn't really expecting the person dueling to look at them, and he didn't think they would randomly look at them either. Maybe he had met them before or maybe it had something to do with the coin? But that could literally be for any reason. It wouldn't hurt to talk to them after the duel, because maybe they had met before.

Autumn shakes her head and starts to focus on the duel, not noticing that her watch, the one with her transformation coin in it, was blinking, letting her know another Celestial Knight was close by. Though, she Would notice it when she drew her next card her next turn.

Urata on the other hand Did notice something strange going on with his coin. What the heck? He had absolutely no clue what was going on but he felt like it had to do with that young woman. If that was the case, he definitely would have to talk to them and show that coin after they finished with their duel.

Autumn was focused on the duel and when her turn comes up, she draws her card and looks over to her opponent "I believe our duel is going to come to an end this round." she says as she plays a spell card "I use the spell card Polymerization and fuse my Gaia the Fierce Knight and my Curse of Dragon into Gaia the Dragon Knight!" she says as both monsters fuse into one.

"I use my Celtic Guardian to destroy your face up monster and Gaia the Dragon Knight to attack your life points directly, Ending this duel!" she says as the sequence of events plays out exactly how she said.

The audience applauded the match as the holograms disappear and Autumn walks over to her opponent and holds out her hand "That was a helluva match. You had me on the ropes more than once." she says with a smile.

Her opponent returns her hand shake "You were a damn good opponent. I wouldn't mind dueling you again, outside of the tournament setting." he says, then they go their seperate ways as the crowd breaks up and Autumn looks around for Urata.

Urata went to approach the young woman. "That was a pretty cool duel you had there. Listen, I know its out of the blue but have you seen something that looks like this? It's important." He asked, showing a strange coin

The young woman looks a little surprised as she reaches over to her watch, flips the face open and pulls out a similar Coin and holds it up for Urata to see.

"What does this even mean?" she asks "This is crazy! Are, you one of those armored figures I keep seeing as well?" she asks as she puts her coin back in her watch "I thought I was the only one! Oh I have So many questions for you!" she says, excited.

Urata was pleased about this, although if he was honest he had many questions himself that no one seemed to have the answer to. At least with the young woman he could answer some things. "My name is Urata Yachi. And that coin slash watch is because you're something called a Celestial Knight, I am to. I'd be more happy to answer what I can but keep in mind still a lot of things I don't know."

The young woman looks around "Come on! Let's not stand around here and talk. Let's go somewhere and sit." she says ass she shuts off her duel disk and heads to a fast food joint.

Once there, she orders herself a snack "My name is Autumn and about a few months ago, something fell from the sky and nearly landed on me. It was, it turns out, this watch thing and since then, I've been getting flashes of great knights in strange armor fighting against unknown, but powerful, enemies." she explains "At first I thought I was losing my mind, but as the months went on, I felt something pulling me towards something. It was strongest today, when you appeared." she tells Urata "Was it the same for you? Is that why you're here?"

Urata got a light snack as he wasn't too hungry. He listened to the young woman, it lined up similarly to his own experience. "I am, but there's also another reason. To give some transparency I'm from the Hunters and basically my mission is to find others like me. If there's a bunch of Celestial Knights, then there is some type of threat although I'm not sure what it is this time. I do know basically their evil counter parts are around, the Negative Knights they're called but I don't know much about them."

He took a sip of his drink, putting it down. "The goal is to form a team with others like ourselves. That said you don't have to of course, since you have your own life. But I'll be real with you, I really don't know how things will turn out. I really wish we had someone to talk to answer more in depth questions, a lot of ways I'm as lost as you are."

Autumn thinks for a bit "Well, that Does sound scary and seeing as h ow I've never been able to get one of those fancy suits of armor, I'd say that maybe a training montage is in order or something?" she suggests "Maybe you can show me how, uh, armor up? Then when you need my help, I can Knight out and join you." she says "Because you're right, I can't just leave my life here. I'm still going to school, I have a part time job and, I can't leave my little brother. He looks up to me." she mumbles the last part, as if she was embarrassed by it.

Urata was wondering exactly how this was going to work. Having them able to help was something, although he wasn't sure if a active team was needed or just 'kinda call when needed' sorta deal. There was still a lot of he didn't know, but he'd do what he could.

"I'll do what I can. Being a Hunter comes with perks, such as a area we could practice at without being disturbed. Unless you had place in mind already?"

Autumn blinks in surprise "You're asking Me?" she asks "You're the one with the experience in these things. I'm going to be relying on you to guide me through this." she tells him "Let me be home and put my Duel Monsters cards and Duel Disk away and we can get to work." she says.

"That's fine. I could escort you home or just exchange a number and let me know when you're ready. We just met so its what you're comfortable with." Urata was glad at least this part was working out so far. If they were really lucky, it would be just the Negative Knights to worry about and nothing behind the scenes to worry about. Going by what he did know, it was rarely that simple.

Autumn shrugs "So, I'm gonna be completely honest with you, I know we Just met, but I feel I can trust you." she says as she starts walking towards the train station "My house is a quick train ride from the main part of the city. My mom and little brother should be home, so Please stay outside. I don't want her to freak out." she says as she pays for their tickets.

"If you're sure, I'll just stay outside while you get your things." Though he did think the later was common sense. Although in his experience it wasn't actually common. "So you haven't transformed at all yet?"

The train gets underway as Autumn takes a seat "No. I've never really figured out how to use it." she says as she puts her arm in the armrest "It's not like these things come with instructions." she chuckles lightly.

She looks and blinks a bit "Hey... where did everyone go?" she asks. The car they were in was empty.
