The Journey Begins!

Space Station Omicron. A Massive manmade construction in the middle of the interstellar trade routes. It brought All kinds of people from many different races from many different worlds. From businessmen, to smugglers, to scavengers to pirates. If you wanted something, chances were that someone there had it, for the right price and if you had something someone wanted, chances were, they would try and take it from you at the point of a knife or the barrel of a gun.

This country in space was the first of many stops that Lee, Kate and his crew would be taking. Lee pulls into one of the ports and locks it down "Okay, we're here for more supplies. This place is kind of wild in certain areas, so keep a close watch on your identa-cards." he cautions. Key was dressed casually in sweats and a sweater with some sneakers while Lee was still dressed in his battle armor. Broly, thankfully, was still in his room.

Lee and Key head to the boarding docks where a security guard was waiting. He was logging in all new arrivals at this entry gate "Identa-Card, please." he says as Lee hands his card over. The guard slides it in a small handheld computer "Oh, Saiyan, huh? We don't get many of you here." he says, handing Lee his card back "Just don't start any trouble." he warns as he scans Key's identa-card and gives her the same warning.

Once they were all through the entry gate, Lee looks to them "I'm going to get what we need. I want you two, to stay in the Zócalo here and stay out of trouble. Like I said, this place can get pretty wild. So watch each other's back." he says as he heads out. The reason he kept his battle suit on, was because when people see a Saiyan warrior ready to kick some ass, they tend to stay out of his way.

"Wow, this place is huge! I never been to anything like this before.." Kate looked around a bit, getting a feel of all the different people and energies around, there were so many and all at once.

That's one of the reasons Lee was wearing his scouter. Because of all the different types of energies. If not prepared for it, they could mess with one's ability to pinpoint or even sense energy for a bit. Short circuit it, one might say. Only until one got use to it.

Lee supposed he should have warned Kate and since Key doesn't sense energy, she would be okay. Still, he figured she would learn by doing. That's how he always taught people.

Some guys come walking over to Kate and Key "Hey there lovely ladies. How would you two like to star in a vid?" he asks as he olds up a card "Come to my room in the grey sector and we can 'hammer' out the details." he says.

Kate frowned a bit, it sounded kinda sleazy. "Uh..what kind of video are you talking about?" She doubted it was anything she wanted to be in from the sounds of it. Either way she wasn't stupid enough to go somewhere with a bunch of men she didn't know.

The man smiles "One that's sure to make for a famous star throughout the galaxy, It's an adventure/romance vid where you'll be right along side some of the best in the industry." he says.

Key takes his card and puts it in her sleeve "We're not interested." she says "We're tired from our long trip and wish to be left alone." she says.

The man nods with a smile "Alright. But if you change your mind, you know where to find me. The offer's open until tomorrow, twenty-three hundred. I hope to see you two there." he says as he wanders off.

"If its too good to be true..it probably is.." Kate mumbled as she watched them leave. "If its the best of the industry, then that would mean higher production value. They know nothing about us but our looks. I think they were trying to get us in a porn video or something for all we know."

Key shrugs "It's possible. However, being the Princess of the Planet Vegeta isn't exactly a low profile position." she points out "It could be any number of reasons. Ransom, blackmail, or they genuinely would like us to star in a vid." she says "All of those are logical reasons." she states.

Kate nodded a bit slowly before the last bit kicked in. Her, princess? That couldn't be right. Sure she was Teala's adopted daughter but didn't you have to be Sayain for that to really work?

"I guess technically I am, but I always thought I'd have to at least be part Sayain for that to stick with how things are." She always figured any actual successor to her parents would have to least be part Sayain since her father's title was more honoary then anything.

"Either way..I should be a bit more careful from now on." She said after some thought.

Key nods "Yes. You are, in fact, the princess of the planet Vegeta. That may just be an honorary title, but it still stands." she says "However, if someone stronger overthrows the Queen, they can claim ruler ship over the planet and it's people." she explains.

She pulls the man's card out of her sleeve "I believe I shall ask security about this man and see what they know." she says "If nothing else, I might pay him a visit and see what this is all about." she says simply.

"If you do I'll go with you." Kate knew Key could handle herself but even so she'd prefer to go with her friend. As for the politics of Vegeta, it was something else to think about. More spefically who would be after her parents, assuming they had children then it would be them probably. Only if they were actually strong enough to keep it though, according to Key.

But that wasn't a concern for a long time so she wouldn't worry about it. She'd just hate for all the progress her parents made to go down the drain.

Key wanders to one of the security guards and shows him the card. He says the guy makes adult movies and tries to rope attractive young ladies into staring in them. They wouldn't do anything, because he hadn't broken any laws on the station.

Looks like Kate was correct in her assumption about the man's character. Now that she knew this, she wasn't sure if you wanted Kate exposed to that kind of environment. So, she decides to do as Lee instructed and wait on the Zócalo.

"Seems I was right. I guess he's not technically doing anything wrong since he's not forcing anyone.." Kate still of course didn't want any part of it so she opted to just wait along side Key until Lee came back.

But in happier news, she was excited about traveling and seeing more races and planets. Key was a nice girl, maybe she could play match maker to see about getting her a boyfriend.

No. Of course there was absolutely no way that would go wrong.

Hm.

On second thought maybe it was best just to let things play our organically if anything ever happened at all. Yeah that would be better.

Key nods "It appears that way." she says as she takes a seat and waits. There were many strange races wandering around the space station. None of which seem to interest Key.

There was an older man who was manhandling a young woman, she was resisting him and he grabs her by the neck with a strange glove that seemed to carry an electric charge!

This stopped all struggles from the young woman, but it got securities attention. The man pulls out something and the guards nod and go about their business.

Kate frowned a bit at this, she went to one of the guards. "Excuse me, what was that about? Was she a thief or something?" Even if she was, that seemed slightly excessive since they seemed to be on the defensive.

The security guard looks over to Kate "Huh? A thief? No. She's that man's property." he says, unconcerned and go back to his duties.

"She's a slave. That glove he's using is a slavers glove. It sends a low current electric pulse to whomever it comes into contact with. But it needs to make contact for about a second." Lee says from behind Kate and Key.

"So they allow slaves here.." Kate said more to herself in a low tone, a slightly darker look in her features in the normally happy and easy going young woman. Logically she knew it had to be legal or they would have done something but it didn't make her any less upset.

Lee nods "Yes and not just here. The slave trade is big business to some." he says "Mostly Zygarians and Arcosians." he says.

He then ushers them along "But don't let this incident give you a bad image of the trade. Most slaves live quite well you see. Because only the rich can afford them." he explains.

Key looks to Lee "I believe this subject and your explanation of the situation, isn't helping matters." she says, taking note of Kate's drastic change in attitude.

Lee nods "Fine." he says as he ushers them back to the landing docks "I got the supplies we need. They should be loading them on the ship now. Once they're finished, we can head out." he states.

"........."

Kate had to bite her tongue but she said nothing as she went to go sit down and try to put the incident behind her. All the stories and history of Alusarian's helping and protecting people and she couldn't do a single thing.

"What if I see something wrong?"

"Then trust your heart. But remember, when its not just you anymore you have to think of the consequences of your actions. Sometimes it might not just effect you. And sometimes, even if might be wrong there isn't anything we can do."

She knew Joseph had some truth to that, but she didn't have to like it. She never felt this pathetic before.

Lee checks the systems "So, did you ladies do anything exciting?" he asks.

Key nods "Yes. We were approached by a man who wanted us to star in a vid. He said it would make us famous across the galaxy and that we would be working with the top names in the industry." she says.

Lee stopped what he was doing and looks back to Key "I assume you told the guy to kick rocks?" he asks.

Key shakes her head "No. We told him that we were tired from our trip and wished to be left alone. Just because he was a sleazy porn scout only interested in our bodies, doesn't mean we need to be rude." she says "He was actually rather polite, considering his profession." she points out.

"Yeah..he wasn't that bad in that sense.." Kate mumbled trying to take her mind off. "What about you Lee?"

Lee chuckles "When most see a Saiyan in a full battle jacket, they tend to stay out of your way." he says, looking over to Key "If you weren't wearing something that covered your tail, that sleez wouldn't have even looked in your direction." he says.

Key nods slowly "That's true. However, if I ever decide to get out of the warrior business, at least I have the option to get into show business." she says casually.

Broly comes walking out of his coffin room. He had his things all packed "This, is where we part ways." he says as he heads out the exit ramp without another word.

Kate blinked when Brolly came and then ended up leaving off to who knows where. That was rather anti climatic but she wasn't complaining though she did wonder where he was going too in the first place.

Lee frowns "Well, that takes care of him being our problem. Now, however, he'll be someone else's problem and I don't think they can handle him if he gets out of control." he says.

Key shrugs "I don't think he'll be a problem. At least, not in the way he was before." she says "He seems, calmer. More in control. He hasn't started any trouble back home or on the ship. There's no reason to think he'll start any here." she points out.

"That's very true. Kinda wonder where he's heading off too." Kate shrugged. "Guess we'll never know."

It wasn't her concern anymore for now at least. She did wonder if Brolly was staying off Vegeta for good or just going somewhere to visit.

Lee shrugs "It's probably better this way. Any way, once we're loaded up, where would you like to go?" he asks Kate "Also, just so you know, we'll be coming back to this station quite a bit, since it's in the middle of where, well, everything meets." he says.
