Old Business and New Business

Espen was quite surprised about this bit of news but he wasn't entirely opposed to the idea by itself either. It probably also mean working along say Tylon and though he did have some personal history, he knew things were complicated. Like for instance Isabelle and the more rank and file didn't have anything to do with their politics which he didn't mind working with.

"That's a very generous offer." Espen said as he collected his thoughts. "I'm not against the idea since I believe Paragon has a hand in earth's future and wouldn't mind though I would need to over a contract or terms first. Though if I may ask, why us?"

Cedrick looks over to Espen. That's an odd question to ask "I chose you, because you and your firm are very good at what you do. You have connections and are well respected by both the Human and Inhuman communities. And you have close ties to Noreal, which my company has just entered into a contract with... plus my sister works for you and after everything that has happened to her, I want to make sure she is alright." she says the last part in a low tone.

Espen had his reasons for asking even if it seemed like a obvious answer, and what he heard was enough for him. "Very well. As I said I'll have to look things over but otherwise I'd be happy for this deal." Most of his family had left the mortal coil but he did understand the importance of it and he certainly wouldn't deny it.

Cedrick nods and stands up, holding out a business card to Espen "Then I believe this meeting is concluded." she says "However, if you have the time, I would like to give you a tour of our shipyards and NS-5 production facilities." she offers.

Espen thought about it, then nodded a bit. "I don't see why not. It would be nice to see some of this in person." He ironically didn't have much of plans at the given moment, which was rare. However knowing how things went he'd either find something or something would come to him.

Cedrick leads Espen to the NS-5 production line "As you can see, this is where we manufacture the NS-5s. Everything from the making of the individual parts to programming is done in house, as it were. Nothing is outsourced in their production." she explains as she continues on.

She moves onto the Autobot hangar, where all the Autobots were in their vehicle forms "And here we have the Autobots. They are extraterrestrial, robotic life forms from the planet Cybertron." she says as she walks over to Tumbler "This is Tumbler. He is the current leader of the Autobots on Earth, at least, this small group." she says as she pats the tire.

Espen was really interested in this sort of thing, not to mention he did believe Paragon would play a key role on earth's future which they already had before. If only his own people were further along with the space traveling technology.

When Tumbler was introduced, he took it in stride. "It's nice to meet you Tumbler, my name is Espen." So they had aliens here too? Not as surprising with what she had told him but still interesting.

With Cedrick still standing close to him, Tumbler starts to transform into his robot form. Panels were pulling back, sliding and clicking into place as new parts were replacing existing ones, rapidly taking in the form of a big humanoid robot, who stood almost 25 feet tall, amd all this happened within less then a minuet.

Tumbler looks down at Espen "Yes, we know who you are, Espen Goldsmith." he says "Me and my fellow Autobots have been keeping an eye on you as you are the perfect target for the Decepticons to use to try and get a foothold in this planet." he says as about a half a dozen more Autobots start to transform as well.

Cedrick looks over to Espen "He is not serious. I mentioned I would like to hire you, to KITT, and KITT mentioned it to them and they took it upon themselves to see what kind of man you are." she explains.

Espen was taken back by them slightly but having seen Draner in their other form this wasn't completely new with the size difference. However it was still a novel experience for him at the end of the day for him. He noticed they said 'he' which meant despite being robots they had gender in some shape or form.

"I suppose that makes sense." Espen relented. "What are the Deceptions then?"

Tumbler clenches a fist "The Decepticons are the treacherous mortal enemies of us Autobots?" he declares.

"Calm down, Tumbler. There are no 'Decepticons' here." says a green haired young woman, who just comes wandering in, not even blinking at the giant robots.

Cedrick looks over to Espen "Do not worry about the Decepticons." she advises "For now, you have a chance to converse with real extraterrestrials... not that you are not already talking to one right now." she points out.

Espen didn't suspect anything out of the ordinary of the attractive young woman, but as he learned long ago looks could very deceiving when it came to things.

Cedrick's comment brought a focus back as did the young woman's comment he didn't know the name of. "Technically, I'm a alien myself being here." He mused a bit. "It's nice to meet you, may I have your name?" He was referring to the young woman with green hair; he was unsure if she was human or not.

Annah looks over to Espen "I'm Annah Grasshopper." she says "It's good to meet you, Mister Goldsmith." she says as she goes back to her work "Cedrick was just telling KITT how much she was looking forward to getting you onboard." she says.

"Please. Just Espen is fine." Espen said not giving the unusual last name any mind. Unusual or different far as names went was really just a matter of culture at the end of the day. He knew his name wasn't exactly something you saw everyday either.

"I have been interested in working with Paragon for a while, but other things simply had gotten in the way at the time. Is KITT another Autobot friend?" Maybe he was the only one from Noreal that was working with them, or maybe not he didn't know for sure yet. Regardless getting to know some of the others he'd see more often didn't do any harm.

Hannah nods, not looking at Espen "That's a very spot on assumption, seeing as how I never mentioned anything about KITT, other than his name, which is also a Human name and would have been the very first thing almost everyone would have assumed, when hearing the name KITT." she points out.

"Espen is not like most everyone." Cedrick points out "He sees things most others would have missed or overlooked. Which is why I have asked him to work with us to begin with." she says.

She looks over to Espen "Follow me. I believe you are likely looking forward to this next area on the tour." she says as heads over to a transporter pad.

"Lead the way then. And it was nice meeting you Hannah." He was honestly curious of the rest of things so he didn't definitely mind a tour of the place at all. He had no affinity for technology far as inventing but he could appreciate what it could do.

Once the two of them were on the transport pad, Cedrick looks to the NS-5 operator "Energize." she says.

Within seconds, the two of them were standing in a strange room that had a similar transport pad on it "Mister Goldsmith, welcome to the USS Odyssey she says.

"Once we get to the bridge, we will head on out to Jupiter." she says "That is where we have our shipyard." she says as she escorts him to the bridge.

"It's a beautiful ship.." Espen said, watching and observing what he could see with curiousity. "I actually have been on a ship before, just something from Noreal so not nearly as advanced. It's always been a dream of mine as a young boy to see other worlds and meet other people." They could at best get to their moon and some very close planets. Due main four having longer life spans traveling to some would be possible, it was things such as food, supplies and the like that made such a trip impractical.

"Is there a base on Jupiter or just a ship yard?" He didn't know about terraforming but from all the stuff and in theory it be awfully expensive; espeically on a bigger place like Jupiter.

Cedrick shakes her head "No. Jupiter is a gas giant and the intense pressures of it's atmosphere will crush anything that tries to enter it." she explains "Our ship yards are in standard orbit of Jupiter." she says.

They get to the bridge and there were NS-5s manning all the stations "The Odyssey's captain and senior staff are all on leave while preparations for the ship are completed." she says as she sits in the captain's chair "Take us out. Once we leave Earth's orbit, warp two to the Jupiter station." she says.

Espen went to find a seat that wasn't occupied, he had to admit the little boy in him was giddy at the whole prospect even if he didn't show it visibly. Hopefully by working with them he'd get to interact more with the ships and other aliens potentially, to. Technically the people of earth were aliens but one got what he meant.

Cedrick would understand what he was going through. Having the means to finally take the steps to leave their own solar system and go from the aliens they knew, to the aliens they don't know.

"Helm, take us out." she says as the Odyssey starts out and within a few seconds, the Odyssey goes to warp "We shall be within Jupiter's orbit within a few minuets." she says.

The young man didn't respond right away, as he was processing things before he finally spoke again. "Are you planning to have more people pilot different ships? Or NS-S doing most of it? I imagine if nothing else, actual people piloting would help with earth perception. Not that I'd know anything about galatic politics.."

It only takes them about five, or so, minuets to get from Earth to Jupiter "Miss Darkside, we are approaching the Jupiter Station Shipyards." says the helm's man.

Cedrick nods "On screen." she says as the view screen flicks on and the Jupiter Shipyards come into view and there was a Ship in tue middle of being constructed.

Cedrick looks to Espen "Welcome to the Jupiter Shipyards." she says as she gets up "Shall we head over and get a better look?" she asks.

Espen hadn't quite seen anything like it, it did catch his imagination a bit in a way that hadn't been since he was a young boy. It was a beautiful sight, not as much as the young woman he was enjoying the company of, but it was up there.

"I would love to." He said with a smile, keeping his eagerness at a professional level. This would definitely give him something to talk about to some of his friends later when he touched back down to ground.

The two of them beam on over to the space dock. The place was populated completely by NS-5s "As you can see, the crew of Jupiter Station consists entirely of NS-5s, for the sole reason that they do all of the construction of the ships, making their time of completion only a few months, instead of over a year." she wanders over to check on a readout of the current ship.

"Every week I come out here to check on the progress of the ships and to make changes or updates, if needed." she explains "And because this shipyard is so far from Earth, it has its own shielding units to protect it from damage, be it the usual space stuff, or the not so usual space stuff."

"Impressive. I can't pretend to understand the mechanics behind it but all of this is very interesting to me." Espen admitted as he looked at the robots went to and from work. "Do you intend for NS-5's to the mainstay long term far as ship piloting?"

Skylar would admit part of her had been slightly apprehensive on reaching Paragon corps but it died quickly. If she could survive Kaliu City which was basically the slums to where she was now, she could do anything. If only she could move the process faster to getting more of the people to divert more resources to it instead leaving the people to hang. Useless council...

She entered the building to greet the woman in the front desk(or the hologram). "Afternoon. My name is Skylar Barlan and I was wondering if Ness Burger is available and if not would it be all right to let him know I was looking for him when he does come in? He'll know who I am."
