Into The City

Mister Blue knew exactly where he was going (but of course he did, with a Mystic's memory and all) and before Barioth knew it, they were finished with all their deliveries for he day.

After a little bit, Mister Green gives the two their cut of the days profit and the day was over "You did good work today. I'll see ya tomorrow." Mister Blue says as he starts out for the night.

Barioth gave his thanks before heading off, Clover could tell him a bit about how her day had went on her first day. He liked spending time with the young woman.

When Barioth got back, Clover wasn't there. Since her job started later then his, she would be have later. Chrissy comes up to see if they needed anything, but she was really looking for Clover. She didn't know what it was about the young woman, but she liked spending time with her.

Barioth heard the door knock and went to open it, seeing the young girl from before. "Evening. Can I help you young lady?" He wasn't sure how old she actually was, but she looked younger then Clover but that didn't mean much since Mystics lived so long. She could be a thousand years for all he knew.

Chrissy takes a step back, clearly uneasy around Barioth "Oh, um, I was wondering if Clover was in. I've been calling to her, but she hasn't answered." she says, referring to a Mystic's telepathy with one another.

Barioth took note of them being a bit intimidated but said nothing, he would be out of their hair soon enough. "Clover is at work at the moment unfourtnately which is probably why she hasn't gotten back to you." If Clover was a normal Mystic he would be worried but the real reason was because of what Clover was. "

Chrissy takes another step back "O-oh. Sorry for bothering you." she says as she scuttles off. What ever it was bout Barioth, seemed to unsettle Chrissy. It seemed like she was fine around him when there were other people, but when it was just her, she was freaked.

Barioth wasn't sure either, he didn't consider himself that intimidating of a person. Maybe he looked simialr enough to someone who brought back bad memories of her past? Regardless he'd keep his distance, he didn't want to make them uncomfortable.

It was a few hours before Cover came back, dressed normally "Good afternoon, Barioth. How was your first day of work?" she asks as she sets down a crystal bag she got from work for her tips. It had a good few crystals in it from the sound.

Barioth turned to his friend. "You too. My day of work was fine and went by fast. How about yours?"

Clover looks over to the crystal bag "As it turns out, a maid cafe pays quite well in terms of tips." she says "According​ to my calculations, we now have enough to get out of this place and get into a decent hotel." she says.

Barioth was happy to hear that, though again, as long as he had the basics of what was needed he couldn't complain. Even if he didn't have them. "That's good. We can start out soon then. In the mean time just to let you know, your young friend Chrissy wanted to talk to you. Should probably do that sometime before we leave."

Clover nods "I shall both talk with Chrissy and check us out." she says as she starts out,but stops and looks back "Would you e so kind as to gather our belongings? This shouldn't take long." she says, then heads out.

Barioth didn't need to be told twice, he began packing everything so they could leave the hotel and find somewhere else. Where that 'else' was could be anywhere but it was part of the fun of being on an adventure.

After talking with Chrissy fo a bit, Clover comes back with the young Mystic in tow "After taking things over, I believe it's best if Chrissy were to come with us." she says "That being said, I believe we should leave this place as quickly as all three of us can muster." she says.

Barioth was a bit confused, because he had been under the impression the young women had taken Chrissy in and taken care of them. There had to be a reason for this sudden change, he'd wait a bit though. He adjusted the bags, thankfully his strength allowed him to juggle them easy enough.

"I have everything, So let's go. Unless Chrissy has anything extra she wants to take."

Clover moves close to Barioth, while still holding onto Chrissy "Wait, we can't Wingwalk inside the city. The barrier keeps everyone from doing so." the young Mystic says.

"I'm different from most Mystics" Clover says as he butterfly digitally appear from her back and she brings both Barioth and Chrissy close as all three disappear in a digital shower of strange code.

They appear some miles away from the hotel, in the same digital shower of code "We should be a good distance from them now and if they come looking fo us, I shall protect you." Clover says to Chrissy.

There was something bothering Barioth after hearing the last part. "Protect? Is something more sinister going on?" A few things weren't adding up to him.

Clover looks to Barioth While under the care of-" she starts.

"Nothing at all happened!" Chrissy interrupts the android "More importantly, what exactly Are you? You're not like any Mystic I've ever seen before." she says to Clover.

Barioth knew something was happening by how Chrissy interrupted them along with everything else adding up. However as the question was directed to Clover and it was on her court if she wanted to answer, he remained quite for now.

"I am a Mystic, but rather than being born like all the others, I was created." she explains, simply.

Chrissy blinks in surprise "Created? Like, Frankenstein's Monster?" she asks.

Clover nods "In a manner of speaking, yes. Except for instead of using the cast off parts of other organic beings, I was created entirely from artificial materials." she says.

"Oh...so you're an android?" Chrissy asks.

Clover nods "Exactly. If I may ask, how do you know such references as Frankenstein's Monster and Androids?" she asks.

Chrissy shrugs "Earth books fascinate me. We get a bunch of them with each new caravan from Earth. They're a bit pricy, but worth reading." she explains.

After that detail was admitted, Barioth decided on something else but Chrissy probably already suspected or knew. "Now that we're being honest, I'm not exactly the norm here either. I'm what you call a Draner, its basically a race of dragons, if you know that word since its from earth."

Clover decided to remain quiet, since it would do no one any good to point out that she was never dishonest about what she was. It's just that no one ever asked her.

Chrissy shakes her head "I'm sorry, but I don't know what a 'Dragon' is.I'm only interested in science books." she says.

Clover also didn't want to point out that both books that Chrissy mentioned were about beings who were created out of the natural order, much like herself and, if one wanted to point a fine point on it, Mystics in general.

Chrissy shrugs "It doesn't matter, I suppose. I always knew you weren't a Mystic. Most of us probably did." she points out.

Barioth decided to let it be. "So what now?" He was in the dark completely so it was up to Clover.

Clover looks over to Barioth "What do you mean 'What now'? I had already told you what the plan was. Now that we have the money to do so, we'll get a new place to stay while we look for information about what we came here for." she points out.

"Um, if it's a place you're looking for, I know of some places that Missy had told me to stay away from." she says "Missy always said they were our competition."

Clover nods "Than I a we check them out. If nothing else, we can keep an eye out for any places we might want to look at in the mean time."
