Lazy Days

Mondo shrugs "Well, you see, in my dimension, I'm part of a pretty big team of super heroes called The Omega Team." he starts "On that team, there are three squads. The Ground squad, of which I'm the leader. The Aerial squad, of which Jack's the second in command of and the Gold squad." he explains "Jack is trying to get his team up differently then that of the Omega Team. He wants it to be a general team." he finishes.

"So I get the general gist of the other two, but what about this 'Gold Team' you mentioned?" Emanulle asked a bit. "I'm assuming its all around?"

Mondo shakes his head "No. The Gold team is the 'specialists' of the Omega Team. They have very unique skills and powers that they bring to the table. Like their leader, Mick, he can teleport any nonorganic matter either by touch, or by knowing or seeing where it is." he says "There's also Jess, who can make Any solid object instantly sharp by touching it. Even her own nails and there's Harry...A pink metamorphic ball of long hair-like finbers..." Mondo says in a neutral tone.

"........"

Emanulle decided he didn't trust himself to comment too much more on that and left it alone. "We'll, it does seem you have things handled for now. In a way your world sounds maybe a bit more dangerous then mine since while you have superpowered good people, there's also bad ones. Granted its true here but usually between two extremes power scale wise." The scholar in him would have Loved to explore other dimensions and the like with others but he had duties and things to attend to here.

Mondo nods "Oh yeah. There were some really powerful baddies where I'm from. Our Arch Villain being Lord Vindicator!" he says, pausing for dramatic effect "He's a robot with astounding powers, who could disable Any power from Anyone just be being close to them!" Mondo embellished the words to make them sound more serious "But we beat him and his evil team. Well, we're pretty sure we beat him. We thought we did twice before but he always came back, so...Who knows?" Mondo shrugs.

Emanulle nodded a bit after that. "I see. We'll I guess I'll be heading back out to let you guys do your thing. It was nice to meet you. And good to see you again Alice." The first time he had met her she seemed a bit jumpy and withdrawn, so he was glad she seemed to be coming into her own so to speak or at least looked it.

Alice waves slightly "Bye Manny." she says "I'll tell Jack that you were here." she says.

Mondo waves "Hey Manny! Don't go being a stranger now!" he calls out to Emanulle, as if he had left the shop and was almost a mile away.

Manny waved back before heading back outside. He had no clue Alice appaently started working here, it would mean he was going to be working with her from time to time even if they weren't doing the super hero thing together. Not that he minded, she seemed nice enough and easy to get along with.

Instead he had his mind on some other things but he wanted to keep busy because some times when he tended to think it tended to go to bad places. It wasn't that he was overly negative, or at least tried to but having such a strong case of 'living in his own mind' to say was a double edged sword when it came to thinking.

As Manny was heading out, Christine comes gliding down to the shop. She needed to pick up some of her things that Jason gave her before he left to raise his daughter in Jack's dimension.

It may have been a good or a bad thing he was walking slow since he was thinking when he noticed someone he honestly didn't expect to see right now.

Was that Christine?

It definitely was.

He really just wanted to talk to her, even if she didn't have feelings which was perfectly fine he would have liked to put the whole mess behind them. The more problem he'd rather not push if she wasn't ready to talk, it may cause her to withdraw even more from him. Going in there with others might have caused something of a scene and he didn't want his personal business spilled out.

So he decided he'd wait a few minutes outside, ask if they could talk and if not then we'll he did what he could, it would just be time to move forward after.

Christine wanders inside and sees Alice behind the counter. She stands and bows slightly "Hello and welcome to Osa-P Jewelry." she says in a friendly tone "How may I assist you today?" she asks.

Christine looks around "Where's Jack?" she asks, then focuses on Alice "And who are you?" she says, her suspicion growing by the second.

Mondo comes walking out of the back, in his complete 'Gecko' splendor "Hey there. You must be Christine..." he starts.

However, his appearance caught Christine off guard "WAHHH!!" she yells as she stumbles back while throwing an energy bomb at Mondo! It wasn't nowhere near as charged as he would need to be to do any real damage, because she threw it so soon, still, it might hurt someone like Alice if it connected.

After about a moment, Emanulle decided he was just going to go in and try to talk to her instead of waiting outside. He expected a few things but he hadn't expected what he was about to say.

He saw the tail end of things with Christine throwing a energy bomb. He wasn't sure how strong Mondo was but he knew Alice was possibly less durable then himself and he didn't want her or anyone else present hurt.

Emanulle rushed forward and erected or tried to a energy barrier but one of two things; one he had Never actually tried to do it in a real sense. Two it was in the middle of a heat of the moment.

That was say it flickered for a moment, then failed miserably despite not being that strong of a attack. It slammed against him, temporary knocking him away. Overall it did a more damage then he thought as he awkwardly picked himself back up. "E-veryone calm down!"

Damn it, this hurts a lot more then it should. Either I'm a lot weaker then I thought or its just how strong she is.

Alice was about to use one of her Yu-Gi-Oh cards called Negate Attack, to stop Christine's attack, but Emanulle had showed up and tried to stop it, with limited results. Still, from what she heard about Christine, at least the shop was still standing and no one dead. She moves to Help Emanulle "Are you alright?" she asks as she looks for some healing cards.

Christine picks herself up and looks around "What the heck just happened?" she asks.

Mondo was suddenly behind her, as he was before her attack hit "You tossed a ball of energy at me. I dodged it. Which sent it heading towards Alice instead. She was about to stop it. Then Manny jumped in the way." he says, counting off the incidents with his fingers.

Emanulle made a mental note not to use a energy barrier without knowing what he was doing with it first. It was lucky he was able to properly form one at all but at least it had staved off the damage for the most part.

"I'll live, I've been through worse. Not one of my smartest ideas though. As long as no one' else is hurt." He said with a slight wince. If he knew Alice could stop it he wouldn't have done that in the first place.

"Christine." It was a bit awkward after everything and the situation. "..Could we talk after?"

Alice finds her card and uses it's power "Still, it was very brave." she says. After making sure everyone was alright, Alice proceeded to clean up the shop.

Christine looks around "Oh! You're the new employee." she says, then noticed Emanulle "Hi Manny. Can't talk right now because I'm going on vacation to the Mystic home world!" she says as she head behind the counter and upstairs. Her target was her room. She had some things to get from it.

Mondo watches her go "Huh. Must be hyperactive or something." he says as he wanders to the backroom to continue to watch TV.

..What are you afraid of Christine?

He felt more then a bit hurt. She hadn't reacted at all to accidentally hurting them and was trying her best to avoid even talking to him. Ever since the incident, it was almost like she was terrified of getting close to him. Or..maybe she really just wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

"Thank for healing me." He said to Alice in a more subdued tone. "But I have to get going. I'll see you guys later." He mumbled to the others as he slowly headed out.

Christine grabs her stuff, jumps off her balcony and shoots off "Bye Manny! Sorry for almost blowing you up!" she calls down to him "I'll see ya when I get back with presents!" she calls as she shoots off in the direction of the Mystic embassy.

A small mechanical spiderbot comes crawling over to Emanulle "Where...Is...Alice...?" he asks in a mechanical voice "Where...Is...Alice...?" it asks again. It didn't look threatening or like it had any weapons on it "Where...Is...Alice...?"

Emanulle barely heard Christine as he went to where ever just as a small spider robot came into view talking about Alice. The young Arkon gave a exapserated sigh. He had no reason to trust this thing.  Maybe it was something Alice created but then wouldn't it know where she was? Or at least have some sort of system in place so they didn't get lost.

 He wasn't in the mood for this, but just because he was in a bad mood didn't mean he should loose his thinking; time to take a page out of Jack in this case. That and he didn't like. Alice seemed like a nice girl and he didn't want to risk accidentally bringing her to harm by not thinking things through. "Not here. I don't know." He said simply as he continued but kept a eye on the thing.

The fact it didn't look threatening or had weapons ironically made him more cautious.

The spiderbot persisted as it followed Emanulle "Where...Is...Alice...?" it asked, as if not hearing him "Where...Is...Alice..?" it asks again. It had no problem keeping up with Emanulle, despite it's size. It was the size of a tiny dog "Where...Is...Alice...?" it turned it's blue eyes towards Emanulle, as if searching for the meaning behind the existence of the Universe it's self and He had the answers it sought.

He was rapidly losing patience with the thing following and asking the same question. He decided if he answered but not honestly the stupid thing would leave him alone. If this really did belong to Alice, it would have been able to find her, or she'd be able to recall it in her own way considering the nature of her powers.. "Alice is New York. You're in the wrong country."

Seriously, what was this thing anyway?

The spiderbot stops, it's eyes start rapidly changing color, then settle back onto blue "You...Are...Lying..." the bot says as it turns and starts off in the opposite direction "We...Will...Find...Her..." the spiderbot says "I...Must...Be...Complete..."

Emanulle frowned at this, but at least it wasn't headed to the shop. Should he attack it? He dismissed that idea. He truly didn't know What the thing was or what it could do. Beyond that, what if it was something important to Alice? It did say something about being complete.

He waited a moment then headed back to the shop. "Sorry for coming in and out, but there seems to be a problem. A strange spider-bot was asking about you, would you know anything about it?"

Alice shakes her head "No. I don't know anything about a spider-bot and I wouldn't have had time to make one either." she says "I've been cleaning up ever since Christine left..." she glances slightly over her shoulder, then back to Emanulle "You know, by myself." she says as she looks past Emanulle "I...Found...You...!" the spider-bot says, having followed Emanulle to the store!

Emanulle thought Mondo would have been helping her still. "I'm sorry about that. I should have offered to help but I wasn't exactly in my right frame of mind. I'll help with.."

He was cut off when the thing appeared. He hadn't seen it following him and waited a bit but the thing was still there. It was horribly persistent, if a fight broke out he couldn't even go all out without blowing up the shop in the process and hurting anyone in and nearby it, but he still tensed, shifted his weight ever so slightly for preperation for when and if it attacked. The first thing of business would be getting it out the shop if it was a threat.

"You really don't know when to give up.."

It seemed things just were going wrong one after another today.

The spider-bot wasn't actually in the shop. It was just outside "I...Found...You...!" the bot repeats as it suddenly transforms into a small, floor mounted gun looking thing, points upwards and, was suddenly destroyed by Mondo.

"Creepy looking little recon-bot, if I ever seen one." he says as his nails retract, after slicing clean through the spider-bot, reducing it to ribboned garbage, which causes it's remains to fade from existence "Well that was new." Mondo says, clearly unimpressed.
