No One Else

Chances were that wasn't the case, since Tobias was a bit upset by that. If it were someone tha either knew, they most likely would have talked to him about it. As it was, it was probably someone who came up to him after seeing his kids.

It didn't seem to be anyone she knew after closer inspection so Nikki could only conclude it was just an random person that had given Tobias the flier after seeing them, which upset him.

She pushed it aside for now and continued for her afternoon; besides the upcoming date she had the birthday tomorrow, And she needed to visit her friend out the way to see how they were doing.

As the day lumbered on, some Mystic guards show up at the orphanage. Tobias greets them and lets them in, after all, he was once a guard as well.

Vira was done catching up with her band slash friends for the moment so she opted to check in at that orphanage to see how everyone else was doing and if anyone needed help.

The main reason the guards had shown up at the orphanage, was because that's where Alister planned to go first, before meeting with Nikki. 

Instead of a spur of the moment thing, they should have agreed to a place and time to meet up, as to avoid any confusion. Still, if nothing, Alister knew he could always find Nikki at her place.

Luckily, Nikki at least leave Alister an message much earlier in the day that she'd be at home in the afternoon whenever he was ready. It would have been better in person and usually both were very level headed and forward thinking but no one was perfect.

While he was here though, Vira did greet them. "Afternoon Alister, I didn't expect to see you around this time."

Alister nods his thanks "I apologies for the, uh, extra troops." he says, nodding to the two that arrived before him and the Elite who was tailing him "It seems that some at the Grand Hall believe I might have someone after me." he chuckles.

That got Vira more then an bit concerned. Was there something going on back there she didn't know about? "That's troubling. There hasn't been an attack or anything has there?"

Alister chuckles "Oh no, no. Nothing like that." he says "The Elites are trained that any threat, even a threat that 1% chance of being true, is treated as an absolute certainty." he explains.

Vira was still concerned, she felt there was something more to it but of course Alister couldn't tell her everything if so; he was an leader of an people so some information wouldn't be known.

"If you say so then, I won't worry about it. Though I wanted to also let you know my band is offically back together and we'll be touring soon. We decided when we do, we'll go to Mystic world first. I think it would be good for everyone involved." Espeically now that Noreal was talking with them.

Hearing that pleased Alister. As, he was certain, it would please his people as well "That's great news." he says with a smile "do let me know when I can start advertising our visit to my people. he says "Not to worry, I'll make sure your fans stay in line." he chuckles.

"If all goes well, it should be next Wednesday or so." Vira said after a bit of thought. "The name of our band is Dusk but you probably already know that. Do you need a name and picture of my band mates so when you start advertising?"

Alister thinks for a bit "If you don't have one already, I could talk to one of my publicists that I have on retainer." he offers "They could do some advertising for you where ever you need, and it probably wouldn't hurt either of us to be associated with one another." he says, thinking of how this might work to strengthen relationships between the two worlds.

Vira shook her head. "No we don't. We Do have an manager who is still in, but they more carry the background work. A lot of background work people take for granted, they like it that way because they don't like the attention. But yes, I would like that."

Alister nods as he writes down  number "Here's there number. I'll get in contact with them in a bit and let you now how it goes." he says.

It was about time for him to get going. He didn't want to keep Nikki waiting "Well, I should be heading on out. Don't want to keep your mother waiting." he says "I'll be in touch. Be safe out there." he says, then nods to his guards, who head out first.

It had been so long since Nikki had been on Any kind of date and the ones with her now deceased mate had been so long ago. Maybe it would be like riding a bike, but she shouldn't second guess herself so much.

After making sure she was prensentbale, she hung around a bit until she heard an knock on the door; making her instantly go over to see who it is; even if she was pretty sure she knew already.

She would be wrong in thinking it was Alister, in this instance. As it turns out, it was some of the guards who were assigned to protect Alister "Miss Nakeen, we're the Arch Bishop"s guard detail." one says "We've been assigned to protect him and you while you are together this evening." says the other.

"May we enter your residence?" asks Thing#1 "We need to make sure that the area and location is secure for the Arch Bishop." says Thing#2 as the two of them loom in the doorway.

Nikki knew that and it was perfectly understandbale so she stepped aside. "Go ahead. I don't want to get in your way for doing your jobs."

The two of them walk in and look around the immediate rooms, before coming back and nodding "The area is secure." Thing#1 says "You may bring the Arch Bishop in." Thing#2 says.

A minuet later, Alister walks up to the front door and knocks. Even though his guards were let in, it didn't mean he could just walk on in.

Nikki now knew for sure who it was this go around and became a bit excited but clamped down on it as she made her way over. "We'll, hello there stranger. You ready for the afternoon?" She asked, smiling at them.

Any other Mystic would have been confused by Nikki's choice of greeting, but Alister had been around humans long enough to know better.

He holds out an arm "My lady. I await your word." he says with a half smile.

Nikki gladly took Alister's arm when he offered it. "Do you have any idea where you want go first?" If not she had some rough ideas, but she was really going on the top of her head since it had been so long. Alister had probably gone at least a few dates before, being at least an thousand years old.

Alister shakes his head "A woman's prerogative, my dear." he says, still smiling "Were we on Elysium and you a Mystic, I would treat you to such delicacies, all the while making myself seem more important that I really am." he chuckles. "But sine that's not the case for both, I leave our evening entirely up to you."

Nikki smiled a bit again. "Oh, but I'd say you're doing all right far as being important." She teased, before thinking. "There is an restaurant I go to that's family owned I think you'll like. We can stop there first."

Alister nods "After a full day arguing with the Circle, I could use something to eat." he says "After dinner, how about we go walking through the park?" he asks.

Normally, dinner would come later for him, because it would be hard to talk and really enjoy each other's company when you're mouth is usually full. But since Nikki suggested it, he would give it a try.
