Spring Islands

Nikki was thinking a bit. "From what everything I hear, it seems like she's trying to go completely cold turkey on them, which would make sense. If you're around someone for a long time, whether it just be friendship or romantic feelings, its almost impossible to shut that off when around that person regularly. Can't speak for Jennifer, but though he's good at hiding it and doesn't dwell on it, he does miss them.."

She shook her head. "Regadless, what's done is done and I wish her luck. If she wishes to keep it a secret I won't invade her privacy and tell Espen I consider Jennifer a friend too."

Alister nods "Her father's a friend of mine, so that's one of the reasons I accommodated her odd request." he shakes his head "But we're here to recharge, not dwell on things we have little control over." he points out.

He looks over at his watch "It's getting close to dinner. We should let the others know. As I said before, the resort has something special planned for us." he chuckles.

"I suppose."

The romantic in her was dissapiinted it hadn't worked out, but she knew real life wasn't a fairy tail. Now though there was a focus on some more positive things. [=color=cyan]"I'm really looking forward to it, and I know my daughters will too."[/color]

Once everyone got there, there were also a few other tourists around, the fireworks start and about eight dancers come out and start their dance of the seven veils, they were dressed like belly dancers, as some beautifully bronzed, shirtless, men come out with the food.

Espen liked the view of course, just like any warm blooded male would in that case. Kylie was talking her mother's ear off about a few things or another. Vira was blushing a bit at the shirtless men and kind of avoiding looking at them too much. Luckily this time around Nikki didn't tease them about it.

Dancing, drinking, and feasting abound. The dancers were laying the charm on, since their VIP this time around was the Arch Bishop himself, as well as Espen Goldsmith, And Vira Nakeen! To say the owners of the resort were absolutely delighted, was an understatement.

Alister was sitting and enjoying a drink and the show. More then once did one of the dancers try to get him to dance with them, Alister politely declined. He already had a dance partner.

He looks over to Nikki "How are you enjoying the festivities? The firework show will be soon." he says "I hear that the firework specialists here have honed their own style of energy bombs that can explode just like the fireworks on Earth." he explains.

Nikki seemed intrigued about the last part. "Really? That's rather interesting. The closes thing to that we have back at home is what certain things Farian's can do with their fire. I'll be looking forward to it."

Espen nodded. "Indeed. I haven't seen anything like that in a while, but also be fair I haven't been to Noreal for a bit either.."

"Then, we should be in for a treat." Nikki finished

As the night carried on and the party started to wind down, some energy bomb/fireworks started flyinflg into the air. Many different colors of them. It turns out that Alister was half right. They did, indeed, know how to use energy bombs as forms of entertainment, but it wasn't just some of the osland staff, it was all of them.

There were even shapes and letters in the works. One set of them spelled out 'WILL - YOU - MARRY ME - ALLIE?' and as a reply, there was a girl screaming/crying saying 'Yes' to the question, hugging a guy.

Vira found the whole thing romantic and sweet, sure her track record hadn't been the best in her personal life but she was never bitter or anything from it. It was just a part of life.

She turned to Alister. "I was just wondering if its all right is some time later before I leave to have a guide for the Inferno Village? I want to visit around there because Hiromi's people live in that general area and I want to see her at least once before I leave."

Alister didn't like that idea. The path to Inferno Village was a deadly one that took one through the Fire Plains and there were very dangerous creatures out there. The Magma Lizards for one, who fed off the lava geysers, plus there were the nomads who roamed the Fire Plains and called it 'home'. They were just as deadly as the beasts.

He nods slowly, clearly not happy with Vira wanting to go near Mount Magmoor. The volcano was very angry as of late "I'll make sure to send the best guard I can find to escort you safely." as much as he didn't want her putting herself in danger like that, he wouldn't stop her either. He would just make sure that nothing happened to her.

Vira was pretty pleased by this news, but Nikki didn't seem as happy about it. "You're a grown woman, so you can do what you want just be careful when you go out there."

"Of course. You know I don't run into things." Vira got up. "In the mean time, I think I'm going to retire early. You all have a wonderful rest of the evening.."

She trailed off feeling Kylie tug her leg. "Um, can I come with you?"

This got a smile from her older sister who offered a hand which she took as she politely excused herself for the night.

"It's dangerous from what little I know, but with Alister's help and Vira having a good head on her shoulder she'll be fine." Espen tried to assure his friend a bit.

"I know. It's not something new to me, but I'm a mother so I'm going to worry regardless." Her late husband she'd worry about, Vira at current and if Kylie kept her current path, it be them too on occassion.

Alister nods slowly "It's the one thing that other races can do that we're envious of... being able to have kids relatively easy and more than one at that." he says as he looks over to the human couple who were making out "I believe we should leave these two to their devices and follow your daughter's example." je says with a light chuckle.

Espen remembered Vira telling him, or at least some Mystics viewed having children with other races as unnatural. If he had a tin foil had on, he wondered if it was the Galford did; he didn't want them to become bitter about the fact once they started interacting with others. Whether it was true or not, he supposed he'd likely never know and it wasn't important.

"That seems like a good idea. I have some things on my mind to sort out and a rest will do myself some good." Espen said as he got up, Nikki doing the same.

"Not so much on things on my mind right now, but could use a bit of sleep myself too." Plus she needed to change out of this bikini anyway.

Alister didn't mind seeing Nikki in a swimsuit. He wasn't blind to her charm and good looks, still, it's whatever she's comfortable with.

He offers an arm to Nikki "May I escort you to your room?" he asks.

Nikki smiled and nodded taking the arm. "Of course I would. Have a good night Espen."

"You two do the same." He responded politely before heading on his own way for the night.

Alister escorts Nikki to her room "And there we are, safe and sound." he brings her hand up and kisses it "You have yourself a pleasant evening and I shall see you tomorrow. Where our vacation truely begins."

Nikki gave them a warm smile at that. "Oh? In that case I'll be looking forward to, but already its been wonderful. It's going to do us all some good to relax, especially Vira and Espen."

Alister gets to his room, takes a cold shower. Seeing Nikki very nice form in the swimsuit was quite stimulating for him. It Was getting close to mating season, so that would mean other guys would likely make a move on her.

But he didn't think she would go for any of the usual flamboyant pick moves that other men were likely to use to get her attention. Alister knew she liked a person for who they were, not how elaborate they were.

*Still, though...* he thinks to himself as he climbs in bed *Over all, if they all had an enjoyable time, that shall be good enough for me.* he thinks as he clicks the light off.

It was around the next morning and Espen was ready for the day, for the most part. He was overall in a good and relaxed mood and he couldn't wait to see what this particular day had in store for everyone as far as things went.

Vira was a early riser so she'd be up and about, Kylie would follow her sister and Nikki it would entirely depend on her mood. Still after he got cleaned up, he figured it be about time to grab some breakfast before doing any Real serious exploring.

As Espen for up, dressed and ready, Ruby was waiting outside of his room with a nervous smile "Good morning, sir. Breakfast is ready and waiting for all of you." she says "I told the staff that you guys were early raiser." she says, while holding a cup of what Looked like coffee.

Espen politely took the drink, he wasn't sure if it was cofee or not. He didn't know why she seemed nervous, though his impression that Ruby was a somewhat shy person to begin with. "Thank you, I appreciate it. Let's be off for breakfast for the day, we have a long day ahead of us."

At the very least, Vira and Kylie were there bright and early with Nikki being all right, if still getting over the first hurdle. Kylie was drinking some tomato juice out of a small box, but the straw was missing so she was drinking after sinking her tiny fangs in. It was something her older sister and mother told her try not to do, but it was something she ended up falling into anyway.

Sarah always thought it was 'cool' that Kylie had fangs and all she had were wings. She said Kylie was like some kind of super hero like Batman or something, with her races ability to use shadowsn and all She had was the same old Boring Mystic energies.

Amelia tried to tell Sarah that she could use her energy to learn anything she wanted., but Sarah was having none of it. Her mother, her father, even her supremely awesome big sister all used the same old Boring moves and attacks.

Sarah had decided that she was going to be like the First Son and learn to fly without her boring wings, to move so fast, even her own kind couldn't see where she went! To be able to shoot an energy bomb so powerful, it could destroy an entire Mountain! Well, maybe not that last one... point was, Sarah had decided that she wouldn't be a normal Mystic and that was all because she thought Kylie's fangs were cool.

Alister was already up, he was dressed, more or less, like he was yesterday. He looks over to Espen and Ruby "Well good morning, you two. Sleep well?" he asks.

Ruby nods (a little Too much) "Yes, Arch Bishop, sir. It was one of the best nights rest I've had in a bit." she says in a rush.

Which was kind of ironic, since Kylie wasn't too sure about her own natural powers, but it seemed to shift on the day and her mood with her age being as young as it was. If asked she wasn't sure if she wanted to fight like that or not, or a lot of things.

Espen nodded a bit ."I did, thank you. It was the most sleep I had gotten in a while actually."

Alister nods "They say the pillows are made from the down of one of the softest birds in all of Elysium, the Snow Birds. Only found on Elysium's polar regions." he says "And the beds are made to conform to the sleepers body for the best and most comfortable rest." he shakes his head "Not really sure how they manage that, trade secret I suppose." he chuckles.

Kylie who had been drinking away perked up on the animal part. "Do you have a picture of the Snow Bird?"

"I doubt he has it just on them Kylie. Mytics don't need pictures as much as we do." Espen pointed out to the little girl.
