It had been some time since Cedrick had come back to New York. After everything that had happened, she figured it was time for a vacation. After all, she worked almost nonstop during the invasion and now, she wanted to relax.

She stops at an outdoor cafe and pulls out a data padd. She was going over the scans of Zero's Tactical Cube that she got and was fascinated by what she was looking at. The technology involved was like nothing she ever seen, hell it was like nothing she could even imagine.

Still, she managed to get several thousand nano probes and was studying them as well. If she could crack the code on how they worked, it would help Paragon Corp become the top company in the World.

She puts her padd away, pays for her drink and starts off. She wanders around, keenly aware that she was being followed, and she knew by whom. She sighs, "Kitt, when Ness asked you to stay by my side, I do not think he meant All the time." she says as she looks back.

The Trans AM was slowly following her "While I understand what you mean, I don't believe Ness wanted to see you put yourself in danger, as you are known to do." Kitt says "Besides, why walk, when you can ride in style?" he asks as he stops at a light and opens his door for her.

Cedrick sighs. It Was a nice day out at the moment. She climbs on in "Could you put up the t-tops, please?" she asks, as she tosses her bag in the back seat "I wish to check out the old neighborhood." she says.

"Very well. I shall take you to the neighborhood where you grew up in." says "However, with this croud of cars, it might take a little while." Kitt points out.

After things had settled down things had went back into the routine in the Last Maiden but business was a bit on the slower side of things but it was busy enough Devin didn't have to worry about the bills. On another plus side, he did pull some strings to get Ava a disguise which basically made her look like she would of been if she been born a human instead more or less, so it still kept her general figure.

Devin tried to make it a habit not think Too much on those things when it came to his co-workers, though fact remained they had lived together and had urges and there Was that one time...

Nah. Back to work, or lack of. The office was slow as fuck so he'd probably leave early to go exploring.

Tracy comes back in with lunch, it was her turn to get it. She just got some burgers for those who wanted some, salads for those who didn't.

It had been a little over a hear since Tracy started working for the Last Maiden. It was an off and on business that was barely making ends meet, which was why she wasn't asking for any money. Though, she Was supprised that it was so dead. One would think missing person's reports would be at the forefront of their business after the 'Incident'.

Tracy looks at her watch, afternoon classes were going to be starting soon "I have to be heading out. I'll be back in a few hours." she says as she heads on off.

The trip took longer then Cedrick would have liked, since it Was New York traffic, but they eventually got to where Cedrick was heading.

She looks out the window "Stop." she says suddenly, as Kitt slams on the breaks. Cedrick gets out and starts heading down an ally.

"Get-get your hands Off of me, you creep!" says a Young Homless Girl as she struggles against two guy.

"Not a chance, you little bitch!" says one as he struggles to hold her "You're not getting away this time!".

As the other tries to search her grimy coat, Cedrick stop half way down the ally "Stop. Unhand her and explain yourselves." she says in her deadpan voice.


Both guys look up and the one guy searching the girl's coat stops and steps up "Back off, bitch! This doesn't concern you!" he says, pointing at Cedrick.

The other guy lets the young woman go "Holy Shit! It's The Unsouled!" he exclaimed as he backs off "We're sorry. But this girl stole from us. We didn't know she was a friend of yours." he says.

His friend looks back "Dude, you look ready to piss yourself, man. What's up? She's just some skinny bitch." he says.

The other grabs his friend by the jacket and oulls him back "She's not Just a skinny bitch!" he hisses "That's Cedeick 'The Unsouled' Darkside! You know, the serial killer, Cedrick!" he tells his friend.

Cedrick mentally sighs as she looks over to the young woman, who had run over to her. She thought that life was behind her "Leave." she says to the guys, who both take off.

Devin waved Tracy bye as she left to grab something since it was her turn. He knew she didn't really stick around for the money aspect since they weren't exactly rolling around in dough. It was more of them helping her and even letting her crash when her apartment had gotten destroyed.

Eh, he was going to go out himself briefly if nothing else from boredom sake. That is if nothing of note happened within the next hour; Ava and Danny were around so not like the place would fall apart when he was out.

In truth, when they hit dry spells like this, it was Danny's funds that kept the lights on. And while he wasn't exactly Hurting for cash, he Did have it's limits, or so he says. Usually when he doesn't want to waste his time buying useless stuff for the office.

Danny looks over to Devin "Hey, if you're going out, could you pick up some more beer? We're out of it for the mini fridge." he says before he goes back to his paper, then he looks back over to Devin "And some chips too. I'm in the mood for something salty." he says before going back to his reading.

Cedrick looks over to the young woman "Explain yourself." she says.

The young woman shakes her head, pushes Cedrick and books it towards the streets! 'Kitt." she simply says.

Suddenly the car that the young woman was running towards starts to change shape, as panels start to fold and slide into different locations and within seconds, a giant robot stands up before the fleeing girl!

She screeches to a stop, her feet sliding from under her, causing her to fall on her bottom "Holy crap! It's one of those aliens!" she exclaims in surprise, as she scrambles to start running the opposite direction!

Only to run into Cedrick, who grabs her arm with a vice-like grip "Stop running and explain yourself. What did you steal and why?" she asks.

The young woman stops struggling once she realizes she was caught "I stole some food. I was hungry and hadn't had anything to eat in almost three days." she mumbles.

"Cedrick, her vitals suggest there is a 95% chance that she is lying." Kitt says as he was, once more, in his car form.

Cedrick nods "Would you like to try that again?" she asks as she pulls a wallet from her pocket "Since you are homeless, I do not think turning you in would do any good. Instead, I shall take this matter to The Eternal. He will decide what to do with you." she says.

The young woman starts to struggle once more "That won't do any good! The Eternal has gone missing and his ally is in complete chaos!" she yells as she struggles harder, but in vane.

This give Cedrick pause "Missing, you say?" she asks. Her gem glows and one of the Forgotten appears "Watch her. Make sure she goes nowhere." she order it.

This floating, honed skull that was on fire, kinda freaked the young woman out. Cedrick paid it no mind as she walks over to Kitt "We have to head over to The Eternal's ally once we finish up here." she says in a low tone.

"Anita? Is that you, Anita?" Tracy asks as she spots the other woman over by a really old looking car and she comes walking over "I don't know if you remember me, but it's me, Tracy. Your old roommate."

Ava went over to Devin, handing him a few dollars. "I'd like something too. Just some juice and some potato chips if that's not to much trouble."

"Nah. Course not. I'll be back soon from my walk. Later you two." Devin left Danny and Ava to their own devices as he headed out to do some exploring and get their things.

As Devin was walking out, Danny waves "We'll call ya if we get a case." he chuckles to himself.

Cedrick did, indeed, remember this woman "You have me confused with someone else." she says. Cedrick was positioning herself so Tracy wouldn't see in the ally. It would be awkward to have to explain what was going on.

Tracy frowns slightly, then her eyes go wide "Ohmygod! You're Cedrick Darkside!" she says as she back away "But you're suppose to be dead! Why are you Not dead?" she says as she starts to turn to run.

Cedrick sighs "Kitt. Would you stop her?" she asks. Kitt suddenly transforms into his robot form, which gets a scream from Tracy, grabs the young woman, and transforms back, popping her inside so she couldn't run!

This all happened within about five, or so, seconds. Tracy was beating against the windows, trying to get out "Let me out, let me out, let me OOOUUUT!!" she screams. It was a bit muffled, so normal people wouldn't be attracted to the commotion.

Cedrick taps the glass "Calm down. I shall explain things in a bit. Right now I have another matter to deal with." she says "Kitt, would you call the college and say that Tracy is sick and will not be coming in today?" she asks.

"Of course." he says as the college phone rings "Hello?" he asks in Tracy's voice "This is Tracy Marsh, I'm feeling a little under the weather and won't be coming to classes today. I do apologize for the inconvenience." Kitt says, before hanging up.

Cedrick nods to Kitt, before heading back to the young woman in the ally "Since you know my name, I would like to know yours." she says in a manner that meant this was Not a discussion.

The young woman gulps as the Forgotten floats closer "U-um... It's Sherry." she mumbles "My name is Sherry." she says.

Cedrick waves a hand and the Forgotten disappears. She escorts Sherry to Kitt, who suddenly straps Tracy down and opens the door "Get in the back." she says, her dear eyes trained on Sherry.

Ava was reading a magazine as she killed the time, her bike was already taken care of so she would leave her baby alone for the time being. "You know, I was thinking business would have picked up in some form by now if nothing else because of the invasion. We got crazy busy for a week, then nothing."

Devin gave a brief call to let them know if they wanted something themselves but she didn't respond which he found odd. She could just be busy though so he paid it no mind, but his gut, which was usually partially right there may be something to it.

Only issue was he didn't know where they were going as they didn't say and New York was huge. He could also being paranoid for no reason what so ever.

Danny read on for a bit, then suddenly crumples his paper "AHH! To Hell with this!" he says as he throws the paper "It's the Hunters again. I just Know it! They're taking out business again!" he grabs his holster and trench coat "I'm going out for a bit. I'm gonna put an ad out in the local paper. Maybe That'll help us get some business." he grumbles as he stomps out.

Cedrick jumps on in "Kitt, I will be driving for now." she says. Since she was the only one, out of the two, who knew how to get to The Eternal's ally.

As Kitt starts off, Tracy sees Devin! Of course she would, she wasn't too far from the office when she got kidnapped by this giant robot.

She starts pounding on the window and screaming for help as the Trans-Am zooms past the detective. Cedrick looks back "If you do Not settle down, I shall have Kitt eject you out." she threatens.

Ava internally sighed but she couldn't blame them, it looks like she'd just be watching the shop while everyone else was out.

Devin heard what sounded like..Tracy? It was hard to make out as a old Trans-Am zoomed past them but he couldn't just let that slide but just running through traffic would catch Too much attention. So he opted for something else and get to the roof tops to follow from above after going quickly in a abandoned alley.

After Cedrick's, Tracy was quiet "Thank you. I do apologize for my rough treatment of you, but you would not afford me a chance to explain myself." she says as she stops just outside of The Eternal's territory "I was dead, but I am better now. You might even say, I have been reborn. Both physically and mentally." she says.

Sherry tries the door handles now that they've stopped, but they wouldn't open "Why are you holding Me hostage? All I did was steal a wallet for some food!" she says.

Cedrick looks over to the young woman "I was once where you are. Stealing to eat and even worse." she says "I would not want to see one so young to start down the same path of darkness as I had traveled." she explains.

Sherry nods "Okay. I get what you're saying. But I don't have a choice. Not everyone can be a serial killing, kidnapping Monster like you!" she says as she starts pulling on the door handles again "Now let me Ooouuut?" she says in surprise as the door flies open and Sherry tumbles out.

She pops up and starts to make a bee line away from the ally, when Cedrick catches her again "Tell me, what has happened here?" she asks, looking down the ally.

Sherry kicks at Cedrick as she pops out a small knife and swings at Cedrick's face. The older woman Could have let it hit with little harm to herself, but she let the younger woman go.

Sherry's attack goes wild and she loses her balance, before popping back up, knife pointed at Cedrick, who had a blank look on her face "I do not want to cause you any harm. But I will if you do not drop the knife." she warns.

Devin continued to follow after them until the car stopped and some woman, who looked homeless and..Cedrick? That threw him completely off since as a former Hunter he knew more about them then most. Still he had to protize since Tracy at the moment wasn't in immediate danger but the other woman was.

So he dropped down not to far away. "All right, that's enough Cedrick you already just kidnapped my friend and apparently this woman. There isn't a need to hurt anyone else." Why he was trying to reason with a crazy person he didn't know, but it was always his personal policy to avoid a fight by these sorts of things if it could be helped.

Sherry drops the knife and runs over to Devin "Help me! She kidnapped me and was going to drag me into this ally!" she says as she grabs his sleeve "She's a serial killer and I feared for my very life!" she cried.

Cedrick's face was blank as always "Kitt. Let Tracy out." she says as the car's door swings open and Tracy comes crawling out of the back and runs over to Devin as well.

"She says she changed, but she threatened to eject me from her car if I didn't keep quiet!" Tracy hisses "That car can also change into a robot!"

As to knock home Tracy's point, Kitt's panels start to shift and fold, letting out metallic clicks and the sound of metal hitting shifting metal and within seconds, Kitt was fully transformed "Greetings. Though it was unfortunate that your friend had gotten dragged into this, but the young woman currently grabbing ahold of your sleeve, is a pickpocket and we were taking her to see The Eternal." Kitt explains, since Cedrick didn't seem to be in the mood to talk.

"You have your friend. Hand over the other one and leave. Unless you wish to fight us both." Cedrick warns.

Sherry looks up to Devin with liquidy eyes "P-please don't leave me with them! She's a killer and I might be her next victim!>' she says as tears run down her face.

Devin frowned a bit at this, thinking. "..Suppose, for the benefit of doubt sake I believe you despite this not looking good at all since I do believe in second chances. If that's all you're doing then me coming along to make sure she isn't harmed isn't unreasonable compromise. Right now its just she said, you said.."

Cedrick's face was stone. Impossible to read "Do what you want. But one way or the other I Will be taking this girl to The Eternal." she says in a dead tone.

Sherry pops her head out from behind Devin, where both her and Tracy were hiding "I Already told you! He's not there!" she yells at Cedrick.

"No, but I Am! growls a gravely, two-toned voice as something heavy lands behind Devin. Standing before the group was Death Knight! His burning emerald green eyes were piercing through all of them "What are you doing in My ally!?" he asks, demanding an answer.

Cedrick had seen many Necrowarriors before. She always avoided them, but this time she needed to interact with them "One of 'Yours' was caught stealing and had almost paid for it, possibly with her life, had I not stopped them." Cedrick said.

It was impossible to tell what The Death Knight was thinking behind that mask "And Why should I care what some dirty homeless beggar does?" he growls.

Both Tracy and Sherry were understandably scared by the creature that now stood before them. But Cedrick was stone "Because I know that you are The Eternal's second and with him gone, you run things here until his return. I doubt he would be too pleased by how you handle things, Ross..." she says in a low tone.

The burning emerald eyes dull slightly "Very well. I shall offer her a choice..." he turns his burning eyes towards Sherry "Come with ME, and I shall deal with you Personally..." he looks over to Cedrick "Or go with HER and she'll have to deal with you!"[/color]

Great, fucking wonderful. He wasn't intimidated by the Necro Warrior but he did know enough about them for the most part. He was tense but said nothing as he waited for what Sherry would say or do.

Sherry was petrified by both options and grabs Devin's sleeve again "C-can I just go with him?" she asks.

Tracy nods slightly "H-h-he's a d-detective... H-he'll keep h-her a s-straight path..." Tracy stammer over her words.

The Death Knight growls something "Fine! Take her, just begone and Stop causing problems!" he snarls "When you cause trouble, it's these people who pay for it!" he growls as he takes a step forward, his armor jangling as he holds out a clawed hand "Give me the wallet and I'll return it!" he grumbles.

Cedrick tosses the wallet to the Necrowarrior, then turns and starts off towards Kitt, who transforms back into his car form "Get in, everyone. Our business is done. I shall take you where you all need to go." she says

Tracy didn't want to get back in that car, but honestly, out of all of them, the car was the only polite one. She looks back to The Death Knight, he was gone, then she looks over to Devin "Um, so what do you want to do now?" she asks.

Devin knew this wasn't completely over, though he'd help the kid of course so they didn't get in any trouble. "I had a few things at the store to pick up but otherwise nothing in particular but if you mean something else I'm thinking of, don't have the answers right away.." He glanced at the young woman. "I don't think I got your name. It's Devin, helps if we'll be around the same space."

As Cedrick drove them to the store, Tracy was unusually quiet "My name is Sherry." she mumbles "That guy was much more creepy than The Eternal. Meaner too." she mumbles again.

"His name is The Death Knight and as you heard, he and The Eternal pal around a lot." Cedrick says "By the way, how old are you, Sherry?" she asks.

She still wasn't too crazy about this killer "I'm twelve. And incase you're wondering, I've been on the streets for about six months." she says, defensively.

Cedrick nods "I understand." she says. She adjusts the rearview mirror to look at Devin "You run a detective agency?" she asks "We might have need of your services, should you be interested." she says.

Devin couldn't blame Tracy for being quite, being around Cedrick was probably more then a bit off putting which was a understatement if he knew their history.

He wasn't sure what to make of them yet, but physically she was extremely attractive. Another odd thing was..he had seen strange things but never a talking car before that could transform.

"Depends what it is." Devin said politely but professionally. "I'll hear you out."

"Let us decuss this at your office, if you like." Cedrick says as she pulls to a stop at the Last Maiden.

Tracy gets out, along with Sherry and once everyone was out, Cedrick looks over to Kitt "Go ahead on back to the hotel. I will be fine on my own for now." she says.

"If it's all the same to you, I would rather wait out here for you." Kitt says "After all, Ness Did ask me to be there for you." he points out.

Cedrick sighs "Very well. However, we shall talk about this later." she says.

When the others piled in Ava was reading something. [color=violet"Welcome back I wasn't expecting.."[/color] She trailed off seeing Cedrick then Shery which threw her completely off. "..We'll this for sure. Could you explain what's going on?"

Devin shook his head. "I found Cedrick earlier, she was with this young woman here who was apparently stealing. Long story short, I'm here to make sure she keeps on the straight and narrow so she'll be around. Cedrick claims to have changed and given what I've seen and heard about I'm trying to keep a open mind about it. She's also hear for a job."

Ava was quite for a bit. "...I guess that story that was big news of some lawyer clearing their name legally all makes sense now. I knew that couldn't just be a concidence. ..All right I'll trust your judgement on this, you're usually right when it comes to people." She'd have to send a text to Danny so there was no 'surprise' when he came back..but he also may not care as much either way it was a 50/50 with them.

"Oh if you're hungry help yourself to the fridge. It's not as much but its something if you need it." Ava said to the young woman. "Bathroom is in the back to the left too. My name is Ava by the way, welcome the maiden."

Devin turned to Cedrick. "So..what did you have in mind?" He was going to find things for Sherry to do to keep them busy but he'd have to think.

Cedrick takes a seat "My friend and boss, Calvine Mort, has made some enemies in the recent month after the 'Incident'." she starts "Although he would never admit it, I know he is just as concerned about the ramifications of suddenly being dragged into the spotlight like this and as such, he does not have the time to worry about such things." she continues "I would like to put your office on retainer and hire you to find these enemies that seek to do Calvine harm and bring them to justice."

She crosses her legs and leans back a bit, showing that she's relaxed "I can not go to the Hunters, as I do not have any proof of Inhuman activity against a Human, so I have come to someone whom I know can do the job the Hunters can not." she says "So, will you accept my offer?" she asks.

Devin paid her long legs no mind, he was here on business not to drool over their legs or anything. Didn't hurt to look at though.

What she said surprised him, he hadn't expected for Cedrick to be working for Calvine Mort of all people. If they accepted this job and did well, it be really good to put on the resume and attract more business that way. Plus, Calvine did help save the planet so least he could do.

"Ava? Got that down?"

"Already on it boss." Ava called from her spot, typing.

He turned to Cedrick. "Yeah, count me in. So tell us a bit about these suspected enemies and what you know about them."

Sherry looks around at everyone "HOLD IT!!" she yells, trying to get everyone's attention "Are we Just going to ignore the car that turns into a giant Fucking robot?" she asks in a slightly exasperated tone.

Cedrick looks over to the young woman, her grey eyes seemed devoid of a soul "Quiet down, Human. The adults are speaking." she says in a dead sounding tone.

This causes Sherry to shrink back a bit. She couldn't go for her knife, because she had left it in the Death Knight's ally "fine, whatever, you old hag..." she mumbles, Just loud enough for Cedrick to hear.

Cedrick, for her part, just ignores Sherry "Give me a moment. I have the file in Kitt." she says as she gets up and saunters on outside. It seems like she wasn't doing so on purpose.

"Hmph!" Sherry grunts "She seems like a slut. You should pass on her." she says to Devin.
