Visitors From Space!

Close to the out skirts of the city, a cloaked ship lands as the ramp lowers and Lina Foxheart comes walking out as three black SUVs were waiting for her. She was a Little nervous, because of what she heard about Earth, but she wanted to do this the Right way and go through the proper channels when it came to moving to this world.

A tall, well build, bald man, all dressed in black with a black long coat on gets out of the SUV and walks over to Lina "Miss Foxheart, I'm Director Anthony Sharp. Head of the New York branch of the Hunters. Let me be the first to welcome you to Earth." he says as he holds out a hand in greetings.

Lina had studied up on Earthlings during the trip and knew this was how most greeted people. She shakes Sharp's hand in return "Thank you, Director Sharp. I certainly look forward to learning all I can in how I can safely integrate myself into Earth life." she says as she follows Sharp to his vehicle. Another Hunter had taken her bags.

Once they were in the SUV, Anthony gives Lina a packlet for her to read over "Okay, just so you know what to expect, we're going to ask if we can give you a medical examination, blood work, fingerprints, photo I.D. the works, we're going to give you a simple test to see what you know about Earth, then we'll issue you a Visa, give you a place to live, a job recommendation, and a case worker for you to check in with on a determined basis..." he explains "After that, up to you, but if you have any profession you with to try, just let your case worker know. Any questions?" he asks.

Lina listened to everything Anthony had to say and shakes her head, her auburn locks dancing around her cute fox face "Not at this time. But when we get to your base and start the paperwork, I might have some questions." she says.

Sharp nods "That's fair. This is, after all, a strange and unique situation we both find ourselves in." he says as the SUVs take off, heading back to the New York branch of the Hunter HQ. After a little bit, they arrive at the New York Hunter HQ where they escort Lina inside "Lina Foxheart, this is Dysis Myers, he'll be your case worker until he feels you're properly adjusted to life on Earth." he says, introducing them to each other.

Lina regards Dysis, before holding her hand out to him "Mister Myers, it's a pleasure to meet you." she says.

Things had overall been pretty mundane for now. Something Dysis was grateful for considering the attacks on Cassia and proxy Tracy, hopefully the extended break would last longer. Although part of him doubted it, for whatever reason Tracy seemed a trouble magnet despite being pretty normal all things considered.

What was a surprise was Sharp introducing him as a..case worker for a pretty Zoanthrope woman? No, that wasn't it. He mentioned earth so she was a offworlder?

He shook her hand. "Nice to meet you. This your very first time being on earth?" Truthfully he wasn't entirely sure what he'd be doing. His training really hadn't specialized in this sort of thing but it shouldn't be too hard in theory. Hopefully.

Lina shakes Dysis' hand "Yes. But I studied as much as I could on the trip here." she tells him "So, let's get this entry testing underway, shall we?" she suggests "The sooner I'm cleared to go, the sooner you all can get back to your inportant business, right?" she asks.

Director Sharp shakes his head "There's nothing too inportant than first contact with a new race coming to Earth for the first time." he points out "We want to make you feel welcomed and comfortable." he says.

Lina nods "Well, I certainly feel welcomed. Though I understand them, tye tests you have planned Do feel a Bit invasive." she says.

Director Sharp nods "Oh believe me, they won't be as invasive as you might think." he tells her "We don't poke people with needles anymore. Our tools have evolved as we have." he says as he holds up a tricorder "This is the instrument that we will be using to gather our data. It's called a 'Tricorder' and it's one of our many technological advancements." he explains as he hands the tool over to Lina.

The Acorian looks tye small device over and flips it open "Fascinating. It's an instrument for gathering data of all kinds... even some things I've never heard of before..." she says as she looks over the readings, before flipping it closed and handing it back to Director Sharp "Non-Invasive indeed. With that little tool you won't even need to touch your patients and you can get their entire medical history." she says.

Director Sharp nods "Exactly. Lengthy and uncomfortable medical examinations are a thing of the past." he says as he motions for Lina to go through a door "If you'll follow the nurse, they'll get you taken care of." he says.

After Lina heads into tye next room, Director Sharp looks over to Dysis "Hey. Sorry to spring case worker duty on you like this, but if you want to stay out of the field, this is the Best way to do so." he tells the young man "And since you're already a case worker for Cassia, might as well give you a few other. They're files will be on your desk after lunch." he says "Don't worry, it's nothing hard or dangerous and you even know one if them." he tells Dysis.

Dysis shook his head a bit. "No, no its fine. I'll look over these soon. Thanks for letting me know." He was curious about these files and who was this other person he knew already. He honestly couldn't think of both someone he knew and that also be a case worker case that is.

That said, he did hope someone with actual powers besides himself joined the New York branch. It would help a lot and Tokyo had so much more even if most of them were complete normal humans with no powers. He didn't know at the time some that fall under that catergory applied because he wasn't privy to that information.

On Dysis' desk was three files. One was, of course, Cassia's, the other was Lina's and the last one was Chelsea's. The poor girl was still an outcast from her own people for what she did.

About a half hour later, Lina comes back out, having completed all her tests and was ready for her picture and to be issued a visa and passport so she could get on with her new life.

Dysis wasn't sure what to do about Chelsea, ever since doing the right thing and not being part of the Last Maiden anymore it seemed like she needed a purpose and a place to belong. Not just a job and that was Much harder to fix. Still he do what little he could, they had their contact information so he could send them a text that he was their case worker, and if there was anything he could to help to let him know. He would also have to pick up Cassia later to take them home while Tracy was at work.

Lina comes walking over and takes a seat on tye opposite side of Dysis's desk. She was all smiles at him "Okay, so now that I've passed my tests, my physicals, my photo's been taken and I'll be getting my passport and Visa soon, what do I do now?" she asks, her green eyes alight with excitement.

Lina was a very attractive woman to him, if things been different he'd definitely try to make a move on them although really in his experience with the opposite gender it was the other way around. At her question he mulled it over. "I was going to suggest getting you a place to stay but my guess is the Hunters already taken care of that? Either way probably a job or some form of income along with some more clothes. I could help with both."

Lina shakes her head "Oh I have clothes." she says as she nods to her bags "I didn't exactly come here with nothing but the clothes on my back." she chuckles lightly "But I won't say no to a place to work. What did you have in mind?" she asks.

Dysis wasn't sure, but he was thinking. "Maybe a waitress or something retail related, but it would also help to know what you did for a living before and things you're into. It'll give you a lot more to work with for starters."

At the mention of retail or being a waitress, Lina frowns slightly "Before coming to Earth, I was a medical doctor as well as having a PHD botany." she tells him as she looks over the paper she got from her test "It says here that they recommend talking to someone named Devin Lavouche at the Last Maiden? Something about an assistant spot?" she says "Should I look into that?" she asks.

He honestly hadn't really expected that name to come up, it was a interesting choice if nothing else. "It's a good place to work, just to let you know that place is a strangeness magnet so if you're all right with that then it should be fine."

There was something else on his mind, more curious then anytihng. "If you don't mind me asking, why bring yourself all the way here from your home? If its too personal or touchy don't have to answer."

Lina shrugs "I already answered this question in the questionnaire, but I came to Earth for a number of reasons. I wanted to show the Earthlings that not all extraterrestrials are bad. Your planet has a disappearing forest problem that my people are uniquely qualified to help fix. You have Many 'Inhumans', as you call them, here and my extensive knowledge of alien life could prove useful. But mainly, I just felt like I reached my full potential on Acore and Needed to spread my wings, as it were." she explains to Dysis.

That all made sense, so there was now only one thing. "Would you like to go check out this Last Maiden just briefly? Since I'm your case worker and can go where ever you go."

Lina shakes her head "No thank you. I can find my own way there. But I wouldn't mind it if you gave them a call to let them know I'm on the way." she says with a smile.

Dysis went to his phone, waiting a moment for someone to pick up. "Hey Devin. I have someone who might be interested in working there and they'll be there some time today. Yeah, I'll text you the rest just to keep in mind. All right I'll see later." He clicked the phone off, looking at them. "They'll be ready for you whenever you decide to go down there."

Anika entered the Hunter HQ, glancing around as this was probably around only her second time being around here. As a former Bounty Hunter she did interact with them occassionally depending if the target was a inhuman or a human with powers although she hadn't exactly entered inside too much.

She decided she talk to the person in charge to see a few things before turning in something offically. So she went to the receptionist. "Excuse me, but who would I talk to currently about applying here?" Obviously there was Sharp but the man was likely busy so she'd settle for anyone that may be able to.

Lina nods to Dysis "Thank you good sir!" she says as she gets up as her passport and Visa were delivered to her "And with that, I shall take my leave. I'll be seeing you later, Mister Myers." she says as she gets her bags and starts out.

Director Sharp walks over to Dysis' desk "So, how do you think we handled that? First Friendly contact with an alien race?" he asks his coworker.

The agent at the front desk looks over his paper, Anika would know him as Agent John Johnson "Miss Burns, you know that your race is still classed as 'Hostile' and to join the Hunters, you'll be needing a sponsor. They can be a past Hunter of good note, or a present one..." he explains to the Oni "Once you have that, and fill out the application forum, we'll put you in for consideration." he says "However, to speed things along, I would Strongly suggest you speak with Director Sharp." he suggests.

Dysis thought the comment was kind of ironic because of his background but he knew what he meant. "It seemed to be going good so far. Not like I have much to compare things to. There's probably a lot more going in the background I don't know about."

Anika expected as much. "Devin Lavouche actually recommended me here if that counts." She explained as she continued. He was actually trying to see if he could get a few people that be a good fit since his former place was struggling, least compared to Tokyo. "As for meeting them, I'd be more then down for it. Would today be a good time or come back a bit later?"

It didn't take Lina long to head over to a rather run down looking building with a small sign over the door that read [I["The Last Maiden"[/I] and she looks the area over, shrugs and heads on inside.

She notices a rather good looking man sitting behind a desk, reading a paper. He looks up when she enters and he puts the paper down "Welcome to the Last Maiden..." he says as he stands up and motions for Lina to have a seat "Have a seat. I'm Senior Detective Daniel Light. How can I help you?" he asks.

Lina wanders on over and takes a seat "Hello. I'm Lina Foxheart. I was told that you were expecting me about the secretary position?" she asks.

Danny nods as he sits as well "That would be our boss, Devin Lavouche. He's out at the moment, as is most of our staff, but he should be back in about ten, fifteen minutes..." Danny says "You can wait if you want or feel free to come back at a later time today."

Lina thinks for a bit "If it's alright, I think I might wait." she says as she gets up and heads to the small waiting area *Besides, you never know who else will show up.* she thinks as she takes a seat.

Agent John Johnson shakes his head "That's not how that works. You need a written, signed and notarized document of them vouching for you and explaining why you would be a good fit for the Hunters." he tells her "Your word that he gave His word, isn't going to do it." he says "As for a meeting with Director Sharp, you'll need to call him about that. I'm not his secretary. I'm just the guy at the front desk." he tells her.

Anika thought as much, she just wasn't sure. She handed some documents to John. "That's fine, and this should hopefully do it then after you have time to look it over. I'll come back a later time, thank you."

She left for now, it went about as she expected. It wasn't like she was in a horrible rush.

As this was happening, a very pretty young woman came in with some killer legs. Elenaril was very excited about this potential chapter of her life, assuming it went well. If it didn't that was fine there was plenty of life to explore and see. There was what she thought was a Zoanthrope and a human man? Or so she thought at first until the ears.

She went over to the man. "Hello. I'm here for a job interview after turning in my application. Is Devin Lavouche avaibale?"

Danny was slightly annoyed that everyone seemed to think He was the front desk secretary and looks over to Elenaril "No. He's not in and I'm not his Lady Friday." he says "However, he Should be back soon. He's out to lunch right now, so you're free to wait or come back later." he says as he goes back to his paper.

Lina looks over o Elenaril "Hi there. I'm Lina. Are you here for the secretary position as well?" she asks.

The other young woman turned to address the Zoanthrope? Or at least she thought she was. "No. I'm actually here to be out and about since I found there was a opening." She went to shake her hand. "My name is Elenaril, nice to meet you."

Elenaril explanation as to why she was here made no real sense. If she was here to be out and about, why limit herself to one location? Why not head out and see this magnificent world?

"Well, here's hoping we get the jobs we're trying for." she says as a pair of young women come walking in. One was dressed as a Japanese School Girl and the other was dressed quite Colorfully.

The school girl jumps on Danny's desk "Hi Danny! Are we the only ones here?" Maya asks.

Danny frowns, always annoyed when Maya does this "No. Tracy is in the storage room studying for an exam..." he grumbles "And, as you could see, we have a couple of people waiting to see Devin." he nods to Lina and Elenaril.

Maya jumps off Danny's desk "I would have thought Tracy would be picking out wedding dresses by now..." she mumbles as she wanders over to the two waiting women "Well hello you two! Welcome to the Last Maiden. I'm Maya." she says as she holds out a hand.

Akane walks swiftly over and lowers Maya's hand "Don't..." she says to the two girls "We are psychics and shaking Maya's hand is giving her permission to read your minds." she warns them.

She probably worded it wrong but she simply meant more she'd be on the field and it was something she'd much rather be doing then in a office. Besides she wanted to earn money to have more material things for herself and others. So why not do something she had interest in?

The young demon regarded the two newcomers then her eyes brightened a bit at the news. "Oh! I see! I never actually met physics before." To be fair, she had been cooped up in Regina's realm until recently so she didn't know a lot of things at the moment from real experience. "Where are my matters? My name is Elenaril. So does this mean you can read loud surface thoughts?"

Maya nods "Among other things, yes." she says.

"But we have rules against such things..." Akane points out "Rules that Maya keeps breaking whenever she feels like it." she says.

Maya waves a hand "Oh come on, Akane, don't be like that. My breaking of those arbitrary rules has Actually helped us in the past." she points out.

Akane shakes her head "That was because of our special mission." she says in a low tone that sounded almost like a warning, to which Maya snapped her mouth shut.

Akane nods and looks to the other young women "We will be leaving you two alone now. We have work to do, right Maya?" she asks her companion, who just nods as tye two head over to the desk opposite to Danny's.
