Off The Beaten Path

Usagi shakes her head "No. You just need to finish highschool, be fluent in Japanese, and be a citizen of Japan." she says "And that's It. You're almost there right now." she winks at Emus.

Emus had never even thought of the subject before until now; so it seemed simple enough. "That's it? I thought there would be a bit more to it but if that's the case makes it easier on my part."

Usagi nods "I can see you making a fantastic police officer." she says "So, after dinner, what would you two like to do? We don't have much in the way of modern amenities, but we have some games and even a radio."

"Games and radio sounds fine." Nysia said after some thought. "I mean, when we were younger me and Emus just to use our imagination for a lot of stuff anyway instead of just T.V. or something."

Usagi nods as she gets up "I need to start lighting the lamps and get some of the games. We have Shogi, Chinese checkers, Go, and Mahjong." she says "I'll just bring them all and we can pick one."

Emus was curious of a few of them, they should be rather interesting as of late. "Sounds like a plan. I heard of all of them, but never really played them. Should be fun though."

It was about a half an hour to forty-five minuets before Usagi came back with a lit lantern and some games "Okay, which ones do you want to play first?" she asks "I also brought some cards, in case you want to play some card games instead." she says as she gets the games on the table.

"How about Chinese Checkers?" Nysia said after the options were laid about and they were ready to go. "I heard about it but never played so sounds like it could be fun. Unless you rather do something else first?"

Emus shook his head. "Nah. I'm fine. I'm ready to go far as new things go."

Usagi thinks for a bit "Okay, but I would recommend reading up on the rules before actually playing." she says as she passes them an old rule book "In the mean time, would anyone care for a game of Go? I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty good at it." she says, looking a little smug.

Emus was all right with the game, not the greatest but he knew what he was doing at least. "Sure. I'm game for for a round or two. "

"I'll just catch up reading on the Chinese Checkers rules in the mean time." Nysia was a book worm and loved learning new things so this rule book was effectively feeding candy to a baby. If not for the animal vet thing she'd probably had done something with a lot of reading and writing.

After about five games, Usagi winning four of them, she stifles a yawn "I think I'm going to do a quick walk around, check on things, then go to bed." she says as she gets up, her cosmic bunny hopping on over to her "I have an early morning, if I'm going to get you two back before school." she chuckles.

"We probably Should get going to bed early." Nysia got up to dust herself off a bit. "Thanks for being a good hostess."

Emus had to agree with that. "And don't be a stranger. You're more then welcome to pay us a visit whenever you get a chance."

Usagi nods "I'll keep that in mind, you know, if I knew where you two lived." she chuckles, as she sees them to their rooms.

That seemed like a given already, Emus wondered why that had never occurred to them but he was gonna fix that before they left. He pulled out a piece of paper to hand to Usagi. "Here before I forget; that's our address." He wasn't trying to date Usagi(though she was cute) but giving a girl a paper like that reminded him of people in school giving their address away.

Of course, girls and being a teenager it was that awkward growing pains phase a bit which he guessed was normal.

Usagi takes the piece of paper and looks it over "Alright. Thank you." she says as she puts the piece of paper in her sleeve "You two have a good night. I'll come and wake you for breakfast tomorrow." she says as she heads out.

Having their address didn't Really help if she didn't know where they lived. She gets around Tokyo by going to places she's been to or knows how to get to.

Luckily, Emus did put sights and such to help since he did know most of the time Usagi spent her time in the mountains. In the mean time it was time to get some much needed rest. The police idea sounded interesting enough to pursue and he was up for the challenge.

Morning comes rolling around and, even before the sun comes up, Usagi comes wandering into the guest room "Good morning, my friends." she says "We have an early morning today. We need to have breakfast and I need to get you home so you can both get changed before school."

Nysia mumbled something that sounded like a good morning as she tried to get herself up, Emus on the other hand was more bright and early while the former was not a morning person at all.

"We already used the sick excuse to duck some days, so not trying to really push it." School was boring to Emus, the only time he had interest was when they got harder test or those thick essay's. He wasn't sure why but it was what it was.

Usagi nods as she leads them to the dinning hall "I'll go and get changed for the flight back. I'll need one of you to guide me as we go... unless you guy would like to fly yourselves?" she asks "Which, now that I think about it, might be a good idea. Because my method of flight can be, stomach churning. Especially after a meal."

Emus didn't see an issue to this, they didn't know the area nearly as well as Usagi but they Should be able to find their way back. "I think that's fine. We should be able to find our way back."

Nysia had to agree; plus she didn't look forward to her stomach doing flip flops after a meal.

After breakfast, Usagi sees her friends off "Next time, I'll come and visit you two." she says with a smile "You both have a safe trip back."

Emus and Nysia part didn't want to go back home so soon, though school was calling and they already skipped a day so it was best not to push their luck. "We'd like that. Stay safe and see you later!" And with that after transforming, both took off into the air making a bit of a game and race who would get there the fastest.
