Vacation Time

Monica was annoyed how casual Regina was being about her daughter's health, however more imprortantly she had an idea. "What she means is, summoning is a drain on her soul, and using it she loses apart of it. Healing brings it back a bit, specifically healing from the gem."

That alarmed Emanulle. "Then what happens over use if its soul related?"

"I'm..not entirely sure actually. Anita or Cedrick never used it to my knowledge to where they passed out like this. However.." Monica looked down at her gem. "One thing I Have been working on through these years away is my healing, and healing herself does help with the soul thing at least to self. So I'm gonna try just be quite so I can concentrate.."

Monica's gem began to glow as she got to work, it should help in theory but whether it would at all she'd find out. Even if it did, Anita was likely to be out for a bit.

While Monica was at work, Emanulle asked her something. "From all the things you said and reacted, you don't have the best opinion of this dimension. What made you decide to stay?"

She was silent for a moment as she continued. "It's you guys. You, Anita, Sammy's family. That's the main reason..and I don't want this place to screw you over." She mumbled.

"What do you mean?" He had a idea but wanted to clarify.

Monica sighed. "I'm not Ness but my time with odd stuff. my own experience and time being away made put two and two together. All dimensions have their own feel or patterns to things. It's not nearly as bad as it was when I first started but there almost always something bad going on. That part settled down, and the other things but one thing has stayed the same, even if it has mellowed too."

Emanulle didn't reply simply because he was listening her get it off her chest, it seemed like she needed it and if nothing else he was a good listener.  

"It's the little people with good hearts that get screwed over. Again, again, and again." Monica grumbled. "I got very lucky. It was almost like the place was going out of its way to end me..and I know I'm not the only one. I noticed it with others too. Instead of giving up, I got angry. I refuse to let this place beat me and I refuse let anything happen to you two. You and Anita are too good of people to be a statistic.  People like that don't tend to live through their natural life span."

"I'm here to so you, Anita and the others die peacefully from natural causes, to spit in its face. We all have to go sometime but it'll be on our terms. If I had power to change things, I would but I don't. The best I can do for my circle..and I think I have something unique to the table for it." Then Monica sighed. "Sorry for hearing me rant,."

Emanulle gently patted her back. "Don't be. You had this on your mind for a while and needed a shoulder to vent on."

Monica turned back to Anita, she really hoped this worked.

Nothing was happening to Anita, but Monica was feeling pretty good about now. There was a sigh from the entrance of their room. It was Regina. She didn't look too happy.

She marches over, moves Monica out of the way "You're not doing anything to Actually help her, aside from healing any physical wounds she might have." she says as she reaches out and taps Anita's gem.

"She's asleep. Not in a coma." she points out "You, of all people, are not allowed an opinion on the troubles of this dimension." she says in a stern tone "When the going got tough, you got going. You Ran and left everyone who meant something to you, and whom you meant something to, behind." she says in a grumbles.

"While Cedrick didn't care, Anita felt like you abandoned her. Though she hid it well enough. After all, you and Adell were her first Real friends." she says. She seemed pissed and having the ire of a powerful goddess wasn't a good thing.

"And after leaving everyone and everything you knew behind, you pop back and expect things to be like they once were?" she asks, folding her arms "You should try to be more like Ness. He is Constantly finding himself in bad situations, but does he complain about them? No. He buckles down and does what needs to be done. Never asking for anything in return, not even a 'Thank you'." she growls as Monica.

She looks over to Manny "You are one of the best things to happen to my daughter. But keep in mind my warning... which now extends to Monica as well." she says as she heads towards where Michru was sleeping "Now I'm going to spend some time with my future granddaughter. Don't bother us." she states as she heads on into the room.

Monica knew that was a lie or rather besides the point; timing was everything. Her thoughts weren't a secret and as goddess espeically one that spent a fair amount of time around them. So it was more about not being happy about critizing her home. Things only could get better if one was willing to be honest about a place's faults. Or maybe not in this case, this kinda seemed a bit out of everyone's hands. Part of the reason she had told Manny was because she knew he was one of the few of the people in her circle that wouldn't bite her head off about it.

Monica sighed. "I'm going to bed, thanks for listening." She left, leaving Emanulle alone.

Emanulle wanted to go to bed but he was unable to with a lot of things on his mind, never the less he'd try as there was nothing more for him to do. He got into the same bed, wrapping an arm around her waist as he tried to get some sleep.

Not too long after, Anita wakes up. She seemed a bit out of it, her once life filled eyes, were looking a bit empty at the moment. She looks around "Where is... Monica?" she asks "And where is mother?"

Emanulle hadn't fallen asleep that quickly so when Anita stirred and spoke he was there. The more empty look of the eyes of the woman he loved did worry him a bit. "Regina is with Michru and Monica in their own room, both went to bed. How are you physically right now? You gave me a scare when you passed out from summoning."

Anita nods slowly "That's because I summoned so many at once." she says, her voice sounding a bit flat "I had never summoned so many creatures before."

She looks around and wanders over to her bag and goes to pull something out, but pauses for a bit "I know that I sound a bit, off, at the moment, but that's something you'll have to deal with until we get home." she states "What I need to do to fix this, I can't do here. Not without attracting too much attention."

Emanulle shook his head a bit. "It's fine. You're still you and you're fine which is the important part, besides I don't mind. A lot of people did see a bit of you when you went on summoning spree but I don't think it'll be an issue."

Anita was a bit silent for a moment "If you wish to know what happens when one uses the power of these gems too much, just ask mother. I'm certain she will be happy to show you." she says.

She reaches into her bag and pulls out a knife "Since people had already seen when I can do, I might as well continue." she says.

She wanders into their bathroom, takes off her robe, steps into the bathtub, then plunges the knife into her arm! And not just a little, she stabbed the knife, which was about a good six inch knife, all the way into her arm. She winces slightly when she does this.

Out of all the things Emanulle expected, Anita pulling out a knife and then going to the bathroom. He didn't panic because it was obvious she wasn't going to randomly kill herself, and the context made it obvious whatever she was doing was related to her condition.

Still he was curious and wanted to check on them anyway which he got to see Anita's figure again with her round breast. What he Didn't expect to see them stabbing herself with it..or being turned on by the blood. That actually threw him off completely.

"Why does that help? Is it the pain or the blood?"

Anita looks over to Manny as she takes the knife to her other arm "No. It's not about the blood or pain." she says as her gem starts to glow a deep red and the vicious wounds on her arms start to sizzle, smoke a bit and heal up "It's about what comes from these wounds and what is gained back because of them." she says.

"So when you heal, it comes back to you." That he supposed made some sense, the stabbing he probably never get used to. "This is the first time I've seen it, the stabbing part is going to take me a bit to get used to even if I know you're not really harming yourself. The blood is different, its actually a turn on for me not sure why."

Anita shakes her head "I've never summoned this much before. Not enough to actually lose myself." she says, sounding more like her old self

"Summoning usually costs a fragment of a soul and even with a half of a soul, a person can still function normally, if a bit off." she explains as she stabs her arm again "That's not the case for someone without a soul." she says.

She starts to heal her arms again, the light coming back to her eyes "Mother isn't Completely heartless, like many believe. We Gain more back than we lose, when it comes to healing and summoning." she explains.

She sets the knife down in the sink "That's enough for now. I feel more like I should." she says.

She looks down at herself. Wearing nothing but her underwear, her front was covered in blood, as well as the bathtub having blood in it as well "I look like a murder victim who wasn't dead." she jokes lightly.

"I had better get cleaned up before Michru sees this." she mumbles.

That part made sense, at least as long as they healed then it should be fine. Since Regina was a goddess so it made sense the souls would be connected to her realm in any case.

He smiled a bit at what she said. "If nothing else you make it work, could be something to look try if we go to a Halloween party together." Manny teased.

"That's true, but we have the rest of the night to get cleaned up. Speaking of.." He made sure the door was closed as he turned the water on to get it running. After that he began to strip down, first his shirt revealing his chiseled chest not overly so more toned.

"There, think we're more even now. Besides, its been a while since we showered together since we're both usually busy."

Anita unties her underwear and tosses them into the sink. She'll probably throw them away later. "I have no problems with that." she says as she puts her arms around Manny's neck "After all, that's the whole reason for this trip, right?" she asks as she lightly kisses him.

Of course Emanulle wasn't complaining since he was actively trying to get intimate with Anita and he was on the very..pent up side of things at the moment but he controlled himself. She always had a very strong pull so to speak when it came to Anita which he was confident had only a part to do with the gems she carried. Plus, like he said he really didn't mind the blood as it went with their goth look.

Emanulle kissed her back in return, happily enough. She still had some blood since they hadn't properly washed but as mentioned before it was more a bonus then anything else. Still it was probably better for the usual foreplay instead of getting straight to it unless she was in a more direct mood.

After an intense night for both of them, morning comes rolling around. There was a knock on the door. It was a hostess "Good morning. Sorry to bother you, but breakfast is ready." she says through the door, before she leaves to inform the other guests.

Anita stirs in the futon "That was crazy." she says as she sits up "I guess work's been getting in the way of 'us time' and we were making up for it." she says.

Regina suddebly Throws the doors open "Rise and shine, love birds! It's time to get up!" she says. She seemed full of energy today.

Emanulle woke a bit after, he wasn't a morning person at all so he was still in the mood of going back to sleep. That was when Regina busted in without knocking which means he was still naked. He didn't really care though, combination of not being shy and sleepy.

"It's too damned early.." He mumbled, putting a pillow over his head.

Anita sighs in frustration "Mother, could you at least knock before barging in?" she asks as she flops back down, not caring that she was also in a state of undress.

Regina saunters on over, kneeling down "I would hurry and get dressed, the both of you." she says "She's brushing her teeth right now, but when she's finished, where do you think your daughter will head off too next? she asks with an sinister grin.

"..I'll go get them."

That seemed to do the trick on Manny's part, so with a mental groan he forced himself out of bed not caring he was naked. He grabbed some easy to throw on clothes, the room was kinda mess after last night but he could still find what he needed to. After that he headed out to go get Michru for the day.

Regina Was going to tell him not to bother, since Michru was likely going to be heading toward her dad's room. Anita figured this as well, as she started getting dressed.

Once she was dressed, she figured that it was about time to get going. There was likely... she looks down and sees that her gem was still glowing, which meant she still had summoned creatures about.

She wanders over to her balcony and waves a hand back towards herself, which was calling the creature back to her. It would probably take some time to get back, so in the mean time, she would get something to eat.

Michru had been Trying to brush her teeth with TK but it hadn't had worked as she had hoped since she lacked the fine control and made something of a mess. Still it didn't much matter as she got herself sorted and went to join Emanulle, then Anita too of course. She felt like she could take the world today, which to be fair was most days.

Anita was up and ready to he eat some breakfast. After last night, she was Hungry! Though, she was waiting for Manny and Michru in the dinning hall. Regina was there as well. So was the newly weds. The porn crew were still sleeping, it seemed. After breakfast, she would talk to Manny about taking off. It was about time anyway.

It didn't take long for everyone else in Anita's circle to arrive though some a bit more awake then others. For such a small little thing, Michru could certainly eat more then her fair share.

Anita always thought it was cute that Michru could eat as much as she did. When she grew into a young woman, Anita wondered if she would still eat as much, or more.

She looks over to Manny "Well, after breakfast, how about we get ready to get on home?" she asks "I'm sure I have a mountain of paper work to go through waiting for me." she chuckles.

She knew better than that. Espen was always good at making sure people didn't have more work than they could handle.

Emanulle thought about it then nodded a bit. "Sure. I think we got our vacation time in and then some."
