Did You Get What You Wanted?

This wasn't too hard for Marcen. The guards were ground level, so he would stick to the roof tops. He leaps to an alcove on a roof, right into a group of guards! *Oh Shit!* he thinks as he quickly throws a smoke pellet on the ground. Luckily the guards hadn't seen him completely, but they were still alerted to the fact that there was someone there and that sent one to go for reinforcements, but in the smoke, Marcen dropped him and retreated.

Once he was sure he was safe, he taps his communicator "A quick word of caution, there are guards on the roof tops as well. Stay sharp everyone." he says to the others. He would chew his own ass out later for making such a Genin move as to jump into a group of guards.

He finally found one of the few brothels in the city and was about to jump down, when he looks down at his own appearence and sighs. He didn't like changing into his weak Human form, but since no one here has ever seen an Zoanthrope before, that would severely limit the places he can check. Still... he pulls out a set of binoculars and keeps watch on it, to see if their guy was inside.

The mission was different from the ones she was used, true she had been trained in stealth but her function, for lack of a better word was different then say Macen's. There wasn't as much use for stealth when most of the time you were fighting things in a dragged out fight, though stealth Did make fighting easier when you could properly use it.

Natomi found a brothel, blushing a bit at the sight because she obviously knew what it was for. She talks to the others with her communicator. "Checking in with everyone. How many brothels are in this city?"

Emanulle finally came back after the meeting and goodbyes with Monica and the others. It still felt surreal that they were gone for good. Besides their presence, he would miss having people to talk to about whatever was bothering him in a non judgemental way, or just a relaxing place to lay his head and now, that was gone.

Michru went to play with Aiko and Kimiko when they went back, as for himself he took a page from Alice for once and went somewhere in the base to brood a bit. He'd get over it, but he couldn't expect to shrug something like that off as if nothing happened just moments ago.

"Of this, I can not say." responds Samuel "They were very much in demand in this era. I do not believe there are more then ten or fifteen in the whole city." he says.

Marcen heaves a sigh, putting his binoculars away. He decided it was time to change tactics a bit, instead of going on a wild goose chase, and takes off.

The brothel that Buddy made, was Very accurate in terms of context. There were guards, magistrates, minor lords and heads of state at the brothel "Remember, there are many different classes of brothels in the city. Our man is a bottom feeder, he wouldn't be at one of the high class brothels." Samuel reminds them.

Alice noticed the look of sadness in Emanulle's eyes, having seen it every time she looked in the mirror, and decided it was best to leave him be. He looked like he needed some time alone to think things over.

Natomi glanced around, taking note of the brothel. It wasn't as low class as she thought so she decided to try something else.

While he was walking, Emanulle spotted Alice. At first thought about just going to his room, but on further thought he didn't want to be alone right now. It wouldn't hurt to talk to someone.

"Hey, Alice. " He greeted. "What are you up to?"

"Three down and no sign of the target." Samuel says over the coms "We are swiftly running out of time, my friends." he reminds them, in hope of speeding up the search.

Samuel climbs to the top of a tall building and looks out, over as much of the city as he could see. Using his eagle eye to search the massive crowd to see if he could locate their target "Hey! Up there!" calls one of the guards as he spots Samuel!

This snaps Sam out of his search "Blast and damnation!" he says as he grabs a rope and slides down! The guards give chase as Samuel runs through the city. Guards try to cut him off, but he shoulder checks one, sending him into another, as he keeps hauling ass! He pauses in his flight only long enough to get his bearings, then continues!

Alice shrugs "Oh, not much. I was just, um, thinking about what I was going to do for the rest of the day." she says "I mean, with there being no patrols scheduled, there's really not much to do, right?" she asks.

Natomi found it, at least she was pretty sure This was the place judging by the rather..run down brothel. If it wasn't then if the others didn't find something she'd be in trouble. While she really didn't want to go in, and her looks would of course draw attention in a place like that she knew how to put her feelings aside for a mission.

"Yeah. You're right. There's reading, the holodeck and walking around; not much else. I just got through sending my aunt's family off." He sighed slightly. "They left this dimension. On one hand I'm happy for them, on the other..we'll of course I'm going to miss them. I apologize for unloading on you, but its a bit obvious I'm a bit off at the moment."

Samuel swiftly scales a building in an attempt to lose his pursuers, but they were quite persistent and followed him up, though at a slower pace. This gave Samuel time to put some distance between them and, while hopping from roof top to roof top, he spots what he was looking for and when he gets to the edge of the building, he leaps off!

Just outside the run down brothel that Natomi was in, was a conviant pile of hay, in which Samuel falls, without any harm, into! The guards finally catch up to the ledge, as the guards on the ground come running the corner "Spread out! Find him!" orders the lieutenant. The guards spread out, looking for where Samuel had disappeared off to.

The lietenant moves close to the hay pile and draws his sword, ready to stab the hay "Lieutenate! I saw someone who looked like the assailant running down the alley over there!" the guard points to an alley about a block away.

The lieutenant lets out a Shrill whistle, calling the other guards as they all head down the alley. All except for the one guard who informed the lieutenant. He was hanging around and when the guards were out of sight, he turns to the hay pile "You can come out of there now."

Alice waves a hand "That's alright. I, um, I have a lot on my mind as well..." she mumbles "I also have, uh, something that I need to do." she says, almost meakly "I-if you'll kindly excuse me." she says with a slight bow, then starts off to her room.

Natomi knew the best thing she could do was act calm and stay netural or she'd draw attention to her friend so that's what she did for now. It wasn't until the lieutenant came did something click.

"..Macen that you?"

Emanulle let Alice go before he headed to his own room but just before he was about to enter he stopped himself. What was the point of brooding about it? Where had it gotten him, and what did it solve? Michru was a bit down about things as well, but she kept going.

It didn't mean he'd have the emotional temparement of a statue but..he had enough brooding back in those days he preferred not to think about.

He decided to go see what Ramona and Jerod were doing since they were with the kids, do something productive otherwise.

The guard looks to Natomi "Naturally. Infiltration, espionage and information gathering are my specialty's." he says as Samuel rolls out of the hay pile "And at times like these, when we're under the gun, we need to think out side the box." he says as he escorts the two to the side of the brothel "Why kill ourselves looking a guy who will have information about the target, then head after the target, when we already know for Certain, where he'll be?" Marcen asks.

Alice had wondered if Manny was alright, he seemed so down, but he was a resilient, if nothing, and he never let anything get him down for long. At least, that's what she's gathered from his personality that she had seen. She was confident that he'll be fine.

"...You have a point." Natomi admitted slowly after Macen finished with his speech. "So you found out for sure he'll be in this one?"

Marcen nods "Indeed I had. Infact, you both knew where he would be for certain from the beginning of this mission." he says.

Dawning realization strike Samuel "He will be at the ship for sure! If we find which ship, we can wait until he shows up and finish our mission." he says.

Marcen nods "Correct and it just so happens, I had found out which boat he'll be on." he says "He'll be leaving on The Mandarin in less then fifteen minuets." he says.

Samuel frowns "Fifteen minuets? I could have sworn we have little more then a half hour." he mumbles.

Marcen shakes his head "No. That was a fake deadline to throw off assassins. We got to get moving." he says as he takes off the guard armor.

"That's not a lot of time. For average people..." Natomi grinned a it. "Luckily we aren't. Quick question, why is this man wanted for?"

Samuel shakes his head "He is not 'Wanted' for anything." he says as he starts climbing to the top of a building, to get a clear path to the docks.

Marcen looks to Natomi "What he means is, this isn't an arrest. It's an assassination." he says with a shrug, then runs up the side of the building.

Natomi figured that out but she meant more why he was a target in general. With a mental shrug, the young Farian headed after the others so they could complete their mission.

"That's the boat." Marcen says as he points to a rather regal looking ship that had many guards around it.

"And here comes our target." Samuel says as a dumpy looking aristocrat comes waddling down with six guards.

Samuel turns to the others "Now we can do this one of two ways. We can jump down there and fight our way to our target, or we can do it quietly." he says.

Marcen smiles "I vote on the third option." he says "After I found out what boat Joe Blowhard was going to take, I rigged it to blow as soon as he got clear of the warf." he says with a grin.

Samuel looks at the target, then to Marcen and Natomi "Since we are a team, I shall let you decide." he says.

Natomi despite her skill and power didn't much care for fighting but she did it when it had to be done, same with killing. That said, there was really no point in pointing teamates in danger if they could netural threats without getting close.

"I vote for Macen's idea. If we treat this like a real mission, then the idea is for enemies to work harder, not us."

Marcen nods "Then it's decided." he says with a grin as he pulls out a kuni and wraps an explosive tag around the handle. He waits until the boat sails a bit further out, then he readies his throw, taking aim "Boom." he says in an even tone as he throws the kuni.

The following explosion was quite spectacular and resulted in the complete destruction of the entire boat! Marcen nods "Mission complete." he says as all kinda of alarms and bells start to sound.

Samuel looks around "I believe it is time for us to make a discreet withdarawl." he says as he moves from their location to a safe location "We should probably split up to avoid drawing unwanted attention to ourselves." he suggests "The mission won't end until we're all safely at the rendezvous sight, just outside the city gates by the horse stalls." he says.

Marcen nods "Understood. By 'Safely' I assume you mean without guards following or looking for us." he says as Samuel nods "Got it. See you both there." he says as he takes off.

"Be careful everyone." Natomi then began to get on the move again, keeping alert of her surroundings but making sure she didn't draw attention to herself. They hadn't yet seen her so as long as she and others were careful they should be all right.

The hardest part, was getting past the gate guards. Marcen got back into the uniform he stole and marched out with a small unit of guards. Samuel blended in with a large group of monks who went wandering outside the town. He thanked them for their help and headed to the horse stalls, where Marcen was waiting.

Natomi had to think on her feet, and while she normally didn't do it she could milk the whole acting thing when needed. She went into a store, putting on a sad act of not being to afford some clothes due to recent money problems.

It took some doing, but a few guys overheard and tried to pitch in until she was finally get some clothes to blend in like any of the other many civilians in the city, going in the backroom to dress. Once done she went to meet with the others.

"Ta-da. I had to improvise but here I am." Natomi said in her 'new' clothes. It was all a simulation but it felt real.

Marcen nods "Heh, nicely done." he says "Okay, we're all here, so mission accomplished, right?" he asks.

Samuel nods as he puts his hand on one of the horses "Indeed." he says as the room shimmers and fades back to the holodeck "Mission accomplished, my friends. Great job." he says to them.

Natomi was still in the dress she had bought. Samuel looks her over "If anyone could make that outfit look ravishing, you could." he says with a smile.

Then he focuses on both of them "So, how did you enjoy one of my typical missions?" he asks.

Marcen nods "If I were using my chakra, it would have been a snap. Makes me wonder if I rely on it too much. I'll have to see about setting up more of my training missions like this." he says.

Natomi blushed a bit, but she was confused why the dress was still there considering it was a hologram. "I understand what Macen is saying. It's always a good idea to work more with less, because sometimes for whatever reason we may not have it."

Samuel nods as well "Well, I am glad you both enjoyed yourselves and had taken something away from this." he says with a smile "I shall endeavor to do my best to make more challenging missions." he says "Until next time." he says, then takes his leave.

Natomi was about to leave herself but turned to Macen. "So plan on doing anything else? I'm just going to check on everyone else and see if Jack came back yet."

Marcen nods "Yeah. I'm thinking about setting up a program based off my brand of shinobi. I can't afford to get soft. They sent an assassin after me before and failed, who's to say they won't try again? This time a chakra ninja like me." he says.
