Re: Arrival
It wasn't as bad as he originally thought which he could definitely work with in some way. "I'll exchange about a thousand credits to your currency since I don't know how long I'll be here. On an aside, just wondering do you have a map on you or where I could get the nearest one?"

Re: Arrival
Sue types something "I'm sorry to say, this is a bank. We don't have maps here." she says "But what we Do have is..." she holds up a card "Your new bank card with your current balance of 400 Cornerian Credits." she says as she hands the card over "To use it, you just hold it up to any register to pay. You can also use it to transfer over any amount of funds you want, and if you ever lose it or it get stolen, if anyone tries to use it, since it's tied to your biometrics, it'll set off an alarm and lead local law enforcement officers straight to it." she explains.
Re: Arrival
Isaac had thought as much but it never really hurt to ask when you were in some place new and weren't sure about the new ropes of the place you were in. "Thank you Sue, you were a great help."
With his business done, he could head out as for a map it shouldn't be too hard to find assuming this was anything like most places. There should be, at the least, some directions a bit of the city on a board or something.

Re: Arrival
There were some maps by a bus stop. He was close to the space port. He really stood out with how tall he was, and how short the Cornerians were. Though, he wasn't the Only off worlder. There were some Saiyans wandering about, scowling at everyone, but not doing anything.
Re: Arrival
Isaac didn't expect the Sayains of all people around these parts but he suppose he shouldn't be too surprised since they did travel to other places. It was just this was one of the last places he expected any to be.
Regardless he paid them no mind after getting the map, he decided he'd take the bus to the libary.

Re: Arrival
Unfortunately the maps were part of the bus stop. But the buses ran everywhere in the city. As did the taxies. The library was pretty standard for an advanced civilization like this one.
There was no one running the library. Everything being automated and everyone using data padds to check out the books. You could rent one for about 30cc a week or buy one for 150cc.
"HELLO." a robot floats on over to Isaac "WELCOME TO THE CORNERIAN LIBRARY. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN HELP YOU FIND?" it asks in a robotic sounding voice.

Re: Arrival
It was both a good and a bad thing everything was automated. Personally Isaac preferred actual solid books then just data pads, since if something went wrong you'd lose them. Sadly, physical books while still existing in his time weren't exactly common anymore.
At the computer voice grabbed his attention he answered. "If its possible and you have it, I'd like to read a book about some basic history of this world."

Re: Arrival
"RIGHT AWAY, SIR." the robot says as a screen folds up from the desk and a list of all the books the have about Corneria and the Lylat system, in genera, pop up "IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN HELP YOU WITH, SIR?" the robot asks.
Re: Arrival
Isaac thought a bit more about it before shaking his head. "No thank you. I'll be checking the middle one out." While he was curious about the history and was definitely going to read it, he was also going to..force himself to be more social. He wasn't completely socially inept but he definitely was a more soiltary person. His sister was the opposite; she hated being alone.
Hm. He'd just have to find some place that was more his speed.

Re: Arrival
"ABSOLUTELY." the robot says "ERROR! I AM NOT DETECTING A DEVICE THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH OUT FILES." it says, meaning Isaac would need to rent or buy one of the sata padds at the library to use the data files it had "WOULD YOU LIKE TO RENT OR BUY A COMPATIBLE TABLET FOE YOUR FILES OR WOULD YOU LIKE READ YOUR FILES HERE?" the robot asks.
Re: Arrival
Did he want to? He definitely wouldn't be able to read a good enough amount here. "If its not too expensive I'll buy one, but for now I'm going to read a bit here."

Re: Arrival
"A PDA PADD COSTS 150CC, SIR." the robot says "PLEASE INSERT THE PROPER MONETARY VALUE." the robot promts as a rard reader pops up.
Re: Arrival
That wasn't Too bad, so he paid for the tablet he went off to a table so he could read some of the beginning parts of the book. Of course, given it was an Entire history it would really only be the very first parts before he had to leave and read it later.

Re: Arrival
Luckily, the pda padd translated the test into galactic common, the universal language of the Trade Consortium and most space fairing races who don't use UTs.
Someone in a police officer's uniform comes in "Ah! There you are." he says. He was a dog, who's name tag read 'Barker' "I have been dispatched to inform you that your new lodging is ready and I am to escort you there whenever you're ready to leave." officer Barker says.

Re: Arrival
The former soldier hadn't expected anything along those lines but he was fine with it. "I'm done now so we can leave if you're ready officer." The place he was at wasn't the best, but due to his background it wouldn't be something he was going to complain about.
