Countdown... 1

Ness'portal opens up in the usual fashion, a crack of thunder signaling to anyone that he has arrived. Through out the centuries, Ness has been dropped off by his PK Vortex in some rather unfortunate spots. This would be one of those times.

Ness shoots out of his PK Vortex straight into a freefall! But he doesn't fall far, as he hits an air cushion that Hollywood uses for long falls that stunt people use to do.

Ness crawls his way out of the air bag, thinking up an excuse to whomever would be waiting for him. He expected some pissed off Hollywood type on the other side of the bag.

Which was exactly what he Didn't get. Instead, he was greeted by Hundreds of people screaming and cheering for him, like he was some kind of celebrity! "Okay, what the actual Hell?" he asks himself as he looks around at the cheering crowd.

Ness hauls himself out and looks around at the screaming fans "Okay, someone tell me what's going on?" he asks.

One of the 'important' people that was standing by some suits comes walking over. He was an older gentleman, with greying hair "Greeting and welcome, Ness! I can't tell you how pleased it makes us that you've arrived in our dimension." he says as he holds out a hand.

Ness looks it over, then cautiously takes the man's hand "You have me at a disadvantage. You know my name, care to return the courtesy?" he asks.

The man nods as he shakes Ness' hand. Photographers were snapping pictures and everything "Of course. My name is Guy Richardson. You can call me Guy. I'm the president of the People's Republic of the Esper Nations." he says "I guess you can call me, the Guy, in charge." he chuckles at his own joke.

Ness had to Physically restrain himself from groaning "Esper Nations? You mean all of the people here are psychics?" he asks.

Guy shakes his head "Not All of them. There are a few normals here as well. We've all been waiting for your arrival." he says as he claps Ness on the back "Come to my main building and I'll explain everything, after you've had a chance to relax for a bit, that is." he says as he waves to the crowd as he escorts Ness to a waiting limo.

Ness could see all types of fans out there. From the ones dressed like him, to the girls flashing him. He Had to wonder what, exactly, was going on. He didn't sense anything from Guy, so he was likely playing it straight for now, but Ness would keep and Eye, on Guy.

Ness and Guy finally get to the local office and they head up to the main conference room. Guy takes a seat as his Very hot secretary serves him some coffee and Ness some chilled water.

Ness couldn't help but take notice of a bar code tattoo on her forearm on the inside of her suit sleeve. It was Also clear she wasn't wearing an undershirt or a bra, from the view she gave Ness when she set his water down.

Guy took this as Ness being interested in the young woman "I see you fancy Stacy, huh? She's not really much for small talk, but she makes a Mean cup of coffee." he chuckles.

She was attractive, that was for sure, however "So, Guy, wanna explain what the Hell?" Ness asks.

Guy nods, suddenly in serious mode "Okay, the first thing you need to know, is that roughly 80% of the world's population are Espers, or Psychics as you call them and allnof us have One ability which ranges from weak to moderately strong..." he starts to explainnl

"Except for the Twins..." he says "They have the ability of extrasensory perception that can span across the dimensional gap or even through time it's self..." he continues "They somehow got a lock onto your unique style of energy and have been reporting on your many adventures from the different places you've visited and, well, you've become something of a big deal to us." he says with a sheepish grin.

"So much so, that we've got your stories published in book, movies, video games. Even action figures and comics." he says with a chuckle "The only Esper with more that one ability and is very powerful, traveling across the multiverse using his skills to fight evil? You can't make that up." he keeps on going.

"So when the Twins said you would be jumping to Our dimension, it was all over the news and well, you seen the results." he finishes.

Ness listened in silence, until Guy was finished "Honestly, I never considered what I do as anything too special. It's just something that needs to be done and I'm the only one that can get it done." he says with a shrug.

Guy shakes his head "But that's simply not true. To us Espers, you're a Very big deal." he says in a serious tone "You're the First Esper who can use more that one ability. Fo us, that's a Very big deal." he gets up "But enough of this boring exposition dump, let's get you a room at our finest hotel so you can freshen up for dinner or rest if you need to." he says as Ness also stands and follows the man out.

The room they put Ness up in was Very fancy and all expenses paid, meaning Ness could get whatever he wanted for free.

However, Ness had simple tastes when on the move. He Did want to dress nicely for dinner, as he had a few serious questions for Guy.

He still needed to find out why he was here, though he had a decent idea. He had seen it more than a few times. The bar codes on people's arms. He had a good idea what was going on and was already formulating a plan.

The phone to his room rings and when Ness answers it, he was informed that President Guy was waiting for him. Not one to waste time, Ness heads on down. Guy was all smiles, his hot secretary was standing Just behind him, her head down as to not make eye contact. Ness had seen this before as well.

"I hope you're hungry, because I'm taking yoy to the best restaurant in town." he says as they head off.

Once in the limo, Ness looks around at the inside. It was like Every other limo he had Ever been in "So Guy, since you know all about me and what I can do, what's your special trick?" he asks, focusing on the man sitting across from him.

Guy shrugs "I'm just a telepath. My psy rating is a 6. Just above the national avarage." he chuckles "There Are stronger telepaths out there than myself..." he studies Ness for a moment "Were you expecting the President of the Esper Nations to be insanely strong?" he chuckles again.

Ness nods "Honestly? Yeah. Most of the people incharge that I've run into have an edge over their peers, which is how they came to power." he explains.

Guy shakes his head "That's not the case here. I came to power by being elected into office by those same peers that are often my betters." he says as they arrive at the restaurant.

As they start in, Stacy hangs back and Ness pauses "Isn't she gonna join us?" he asks. Guy's answer would determine how he handled future situations with this man.

Guy pauses as well "Stacy, why don't join us this time?" he asks and the secretary gets a surprised look on her face, telling Ness that he had rarely, if ever, asked her to join him. But the young woman hurries over.

Once inside and seated, Ness figured it was time to get down to the brass tax of the situation "What's the deal with the bar codes I've spotted on certain people?" he asks. This was another test of Guy's integrity.

Guy sighs, as if knowing this question would come up "It's an unfortunate product of our dimension." he starts "The Twins told me that you would ask this question and that I should be honest and cooperate with whatever you decide to do..." he says in a low tone.

Ness quarks an eyebrow "Else wise?" he asks.

"Else wise, when you found out on your own, and you Would find out, you would use your impressive skills and insane power to 'fix' this situation on your own, and there wouldn't be a damn thing we could do to stop you." he says in the same low tone.

Ness nods "They're correct on all fronts. I like these Twins. I would like to meet them before I leave." he says with a slight smile "So, about those bar codes?" he asks, already knowing what they meant, based on Guy's response.

Guy sighs, knowing that Ness will have a negative reaction to what he tells him "As I said, those are a product of our dimension. Since twenty percent of the population is simply Normies, what we call normal non-Espers, they are... up for grabs... as it were." he mumbles.

Ness eyes him, then looks over to Stacy "So, not so much a slave, but rather, what, a pet?" he asks as he looks back to Guy "No... not a pet... a trophy." he says "Am I right?" he asks.

Guy nods "Pretty much nailed it. Like I said, it's a product of our dimension. A practice we've been doing for, about two, or so, hundred years." he says "In all of Human history, it's always been the strong dominating the weak, so when Espers became the dominating force of the world, that's when we started to treat Normies like property." he explains.

Ness nods slowly "And, are these 'Normies', content with this arrangement? Being treated as something less than a second class citizen?" he asks in a low tone, knowing this might be a sensitive subject.

Guy shakes his head "No. Not completely. There Are factions of Normies who are causing trouble, demanding we change the way we treat them. Talks have been... unsuccessful." he says.

Ness nods again. They were, at least, Trying to reach a consensus "We'll put a pin in this for now and come back to it at a later date. I don't feel this is the right atmosphere in which to be talking about politics at the moment, but rest assured, we Will be talking about this later." he assures.

Guy nods "Understood... so, in the mean time, was there anything you'd like to know about our dimension?" he asks.

Ness thinks for a second, then shskes his head "Not at this time. Everything I want to know about it's history, I'm sure I can read in the library..." he trails off as a couple walks over to his table.

"Excuse our intrusion but, you're Ness, right? The Actual Ness? the guy asks as he holds out a book, one of Ness' adventures "Me and my wife are huge fans, uh, could we get an autograph?" he asks.

After dinner, Ness was taken back to his hotel room, where Stacy had stayed with him. Ness eyes the young woman, who still wasn't making eye contact, and Ness invites her on in "So, what's your story?" he asks.

Stacy looks up, surprised that someone would even case enough to Ask that. She almost immediately looks back down "If you really Have been keeping up with my storied, you should already know that I don't about formalities. Feel free to speak your mind." he says.

Stacy looked uncomfortable, and eve though Ness wasn't reading her mind, he Was reading her emotions and micro expressions "It's okay. I understand that it's hard to open up to someone you just met." he says in his best counselor's voice.

Stacy shakes her head slightly "b-but..." she starts, proving that she Can, in fact, talk. However, she, once again, clams up.

Ness was getting frustraited at this time "Okay, so let's put a pin in this conversation until you're ready to talk on your own terms, in the mean time, it's obvious that Guy had you stay here for reasons of his own. In that case, you can take the bed and I'll take the couch. Agreed? Good. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna take a shower, then hit the hay." he says as he heads off.

After he takes his shower, Stacy heads in for hers, and Ness calls the front desk to get her something to wear to bed, figuring that all she had was what she had.

Once that was settled, Ness hits the couch like a champ and the next morning, he requests a car to take him and Stacy to the local library. It was time Ness did some research on this world, since he already knew why he was here.

It took most of the day, but with Stacy's help, Ness got the picture of what had happened here. About a seven, or so, hundred years ago, psychics started to emerge to the masses, the usual occured. Them being called witches and such, but when normal people started to become the minority and psychics the dominant of the two, they started to take over and normals were quickly knocked down to second class citizens.

There are currently several classes of 'Espers', Healers - Espers who can heal, or in rare cases, regenerate lost parts. Movers - the classic telekinetic. Most aren't strong enough to lift anything too crazy, but they can 'link' their power to stack on each other.

Feelers/Trackers - they are specialized empaths who can get into a person mind to pick up on that they can feel and sometimes they can use this emotional connection to track a person. Pushers - A rare type of Esper who cab implant and change memories of people to make then believe what they want. The stronger the Pusher, the stronger the memory.

Than there are the Elementals - they are many different Espers who can control certain elements like Hydrokinesis or Pyrokinesis. There are many of them out there. Lastly, there are the Seers - they are among the rarest Esper. They can use their abilities to see many things, often in the very worpd around them. Currently, there are only two exceptions to this, the Twins.

And finally, the rarest of the rare Espers, are Psychokinetics. They are less than .001% of them born. Currently there aren't any, but that doesn't mean any won't be born in the future. All of these Espers aren't Really all that powerful, some are strong, but nothing to worry about. And all Only have the One ability that they were born with, which is why they are making a big deal out of Ness being here.

He closes out the computer he was working on and the books he was reading "So That's why they were all excited that I arrived here. I'm like the true super hero in a world filled with action heroes." he mumbles as he puts the books away and heads out, Stacy right behind him.

The thing that bothered him, was that while there Were Some laws protecting one Esper from delving into the mind or another or using their abilities against one another, those same laws were Very lax against Normies. So that means a telepath could read the mind of any Normie they encountered, if they wished. Even if the Normie didn't want them to.

Come to think of it, Ness found himself blocking a few Teeps from reading Stacy's mind without her knowledge, to get information on Ness, which was illegal. Trophy Normies were the exception to the rule, because important people often had them as pets, Ness guessed. Which made him a bit upset. He would have to change this.

After Ness puts everything back, he turns to Stacy "Okay, so now that we are finished and are by ourselves..." he says, this gets a slight frown from the young woman "That's right. It's time I hear what's going on. Why is Guy being all chummy with me?" he asks.

Stacy looks around to make sure the coast was clear, before moving close to Ness "He wants you on his side, so he can put the Normie movement down." she says in a low tone "But, don't get me wrong... he's a good guy, he just, has his priorities backwards..." she mumbles.

Ness nods slowly. He would have to make Guy see that Normies are people too and not display pieces. He gently places a hand on Stacy's head and lightly ruffles her hair. Much like how an older sibling would do with their younger sibling "Come on. Let's get something to drink." he says as he heads out.

He didn't get far before he was hounded by a crowd of people, all asking for his autograph and picture. It was almost an hour later, but Ness and Stacy finally got that drink.

Then it was time to talk to Guy about some things. It didn't take long to get to Guy's office and Ness was let in wlright away. Guy stands "And here he is! I was just about to give Stacy a call to see if you were available for lunch or something." he says. He frowns slightly at something.

Ness looks over to the young woman "Stacy, would you be a doll and get us some coffee? There's a decent shop just across the street. I'll take a mocha with extra cream." he says as he looks over to Guy.

"I'll have my usual." he says as Stacy heads out. Guy looks over to Ness "You were blocking me from her thoughts, why?" he asks.

Ness shakes his head "No, that wasn't completely me. I put up strong mental walls in her mind to keep others from reading her thoughts unless she Wants them to." he explains "And I did so, because just jumping into someone elses mind without their permission is wrong." he points out.

"According to my research, I am the strongest psychic on this here planet of Earth and I could do anything that I wanted and there would be no one here who could stop me, correct?" Ness asks, but he already knew the answer "But I live by a code of ethics that keeps me in check and from going wild whenever I want and among those are to use my skills and abilities responsibly. Just jumping into other people's minds without their say so Isn't what I call responsible." he states.

Guy heaves a sigh "I suppose you're right. We've just been so use to doing things our own way for such a long time that it's second nature for us to just read someone's mind." he mumbles as he writes something down. He notices Ness' curious look "It's a list of things I need to address in the future. After all, if we're to become a better people, we must change with the times." he says.

Ness nods. That left a positive mark for Guy and just then, Stacy comes back with their coffee "So, for today's activity, I was hopoing to meet these Twins I've heard so much about." he says as he thanks Stacy for the coffee. It was just what he needed at the moment.

Guy checks his watch "They're still in school at the moment, but when they get out, you can be sure we'll be paying them a visit." he says "In the mean time, I would like to show you to where we can project their mental images onto screen and even record them." he offers.

Ness was intrigued. He had, of course, seen technology like that before, but not in such a normal looking society. He nods "Okay, sure. Lead the way." he says.

It was a decent drive to a government run lab, which sent up all Kinds of red flags for Ness and Guy seemed to notice "Don't worry. We're not trying to enhance Espers. We're happy the way we are. This is an R&D facility. One where we try to incorporate out psychic abilities into technology." he says.

After getring some visitor badges, they start off. Their ideas were interesting, even if most of them were going nowhere. But Ness knew they could work, as he had seen other, similar, ideas working.

They show up to a room with a large row of computers that were hooked up to some helmets, that were, in turn, hooked up to a series of monitor's and smaller computers. Ness guessed this was the place.

An elderly woman comes walking over "Mister President, welcome. What do we owe this honor to?" she asks. Judging from her lab coat, she was a scientist here.

Guy motions to Ness "Just showing our guest the fruits of our labor." he says "Ness, this is Esmeralda, the Twins caretaker when they are here. Esmeralda, this is Ness. I'm sure you know who he is." he aays with a big smile.

"Oh goodness, so they were right? Ness Actually came to our reality." she says, almost star struck "We've been big fans of yours, ever since we first locked onto your energies. Though, you could imagine our complete shock and surprise when we started transmitting images feom another dimension." the elderly woman rambles on "Guy, have tyou taken him to get his psy-raiting checked?" she asks.

Guy shakes his head "No. I'm not sure he would appreciate that, being labeled and all." he says.

Ness looks over to Guy "A psy-raiting, you've mentioned that before. So there's a machine to scale one's psychic abilities?" he asks.

Guy nods "That's correct. They start from P-0, the weakest, to P-12, the strongest. Most are an average P-5, the Twins are the only known P-12s we have." he explains.

This all seemed a bit Too familar to Ness "You know what? I think I would like to see where I scale up on your Psy Meter." he says.

They lead Ness to a machine that also has a helmet in it "Ness, this is where we test who's an Esper and who isn't." he says, motioning to the seat "All you need to do is..." he was interupted by a call "Excuse me. It's the Twins..." he says as he heads out of the room.

Ness looks over to Esmeralda "So, exactly how strong Are the Twins, individually. Because if I'm right to assume, based on what I need in the previous room, the machine they use, links their powers, which is probably Why they can detect things from That far away to begin with." he says.

Esmeralda nods "It's as you say, by themselves, they aren't able to see very far, but when they get together, their powers increases for some reason."  she explains.

Ness nods slowly "That's about how I figured." he mumbles " I know of a pair of twins that have the same ability, except for them, the further they get from each other, the weaker they get, power wise, that is." he mumlbes.

Esmeralda nods "That sums the Twins up pretty well." she says.

Guy comes back "Okay, the Twins just got out of school and are on their way here. It'll be about a half hour. In the mean time, how about lunch?" he asks.

Ness nods slowly. He wouldn't mind killing a bit of time "Okay. But I would like to talk about what other projects you have in the works that use psy energy to work." he says "I find the whole subject to be quite interesting."

So for the next half hour or so, Guy was explaining to Ness some of their projects, how they were going about making them work and how they weren't working.

After forty-five minuets, Esmeralda comes walking in with two Young Women and Guy stands, with a grin on his face "Ness, allow me to introduce Asuna and Miyuki Tendo. Also referred to as The Twins." he says.

The dark haired one (Asuna) looked completely star struck "Oh wow! It's Ness, he's finally here, in Our lab!" she squees.

The blonde (Miyuki) looked a bit embarrassed and shy, not looking at Ness directly, but rather fidgeting around, looking at the ground "It's so, humbling, being around another celebrity, especially one like you..." she mumbles.

Ness nods "Like wise. It's not everyday I run into a pair that can break the dimensional barrier like you both can." he says. Not even He can do that yet.

Guy claps his hands "So, now that intros are complete, let's head to the test chamber so we can see just how strong you rate." he chuckles, thinking they might have to replace their machine once Ness was finished.[/color]

Once in the testing machine and all hooked up, Esmerelda looks over to Ness "Okay, dear, I want you to concentrate on using your abilities, but don't Actually use them." she says as she looks at a read out.

So Ness does as asked, with both Guy and the Twins in the observation room. If Ness had to guess, he would say that Asuna looked excited, while Miyuki looked anxious, while Guy had a grin on his face.

After about five minuets, Esmerelda comes into the observation room with Ness "Okay, after testing him twice, Ness' psy-rating Is..." she pauses for dramatic effect "Negitive one!" she states.

Guy blinks in disbelief "Wait, what?" he asks "Yeah, what?" Asuna echos him.

Esmerelda hands over the chart "According to our own tests, Ness is a Normie." she declares.

Guy was looking over the results with Asuna "Hold on, how is that even possible? Is the machine broke or something?" he asks.

"Yeah, what about all the cool and Very psychic stuff we've Seen him do?" Asuna asks "Like flying, or lifting objects, or pulling matter out of the Air to make things he needs? How could a Nornis Possibly do Any of that?" she demands.

Miyuki walks over to her sister and places a calming hand on her shoulder "Did you forget? We already know the answer to this question." she says in a calming voice as well "Ness doesn't have powers, because everything he learned to do, is a skill, not a power or ability." she reminds everyone in the room.

Ness nods "That's correct. All of my PK stuff, they aren't powers that I was naturally born with, they are skills I had to learn and strengthen through my many experiences and they are skills that anyone can learn, provided they have the aptitude for it." he explains "I only Call them powers for the sake of continuity. I mean, someone as Powerful as I am couldn't have Possibly learned to use such awesome skills, so it Has to be a power, right?" he asks.

Guy frowns slightly "Why were you talking like that just now?" he asks.

Ness shakes his head "Just getting a point across."

Something occures to Guy "Wait, so if these are skills, does that mean you could teach any one of Us to use them?" he asks.

Ness shakes his head "Of they Were skills, yes. But they are Powers, remember? You can't teach powers to someone." he points out.

Guy frowns again "I see..." he mumbles "Despite this news, is there anything else you would like to see?" he asks.

Ness nods "Yes. If it's alright, I would like to spend some time with the Twins. I have a few things I would like to talk to then about." he says.

Guy looks over to the young women. Asuna looked ecstatic that Ness wanted to spend time with them, and Miyuki looked a bit aloof about the whole thing. Finally Guy nods "I don't see any problems with that." he says "Me and Esmeralda have some things to talk about, so you kids have fun." he chuckles as he and the older lady walks off.

Asuna bounds over to Ness "So! What did you want to talk about? Or did you want to do some Esper stuff? Please say you want to do Esper stuff! After so many years of seeing you do cool things through our abilities, I want to see you do something cool for Real!" she says, sounding excited.

Mituki walks on over to her sister and places a calming hand on her shoulder "Calm, sister. Don't pressure Ness into doing anything he doesn't want to do." she says.

This seems to work, as Asuna nods "You're right, Yuki..." she says as she looks over to Ness and bows "Forgive my pestering. I was simply excited to finally meet you." she says.

Ness sighs after thinking for a bit "Okay. Let's do something fun. But we can't go overboard with it." he cautions.

Asuna jumps into the air, flashing her panties for a bit "Yay!" Asuna exclaimed "We're gonna have so much fun today!" she says as she takes Ness by the hand to pull him somewhere.

"Suna, please restrain yourself." Miyuki says "You just flashed your underware, in your excitement." she says.

Asuna waves a hand "Oh, I don't care. Because it's Ness, I'll Give him my panties if he wants them." she states. It seemed nothing would ruin her good mood today.

Asuna drags Ness to a testing chamber "Here's one of our testing rooms. This is the telekinetic rooms. We rate how much a Mover can lift." she explains. When they enter, there were tables that had various weights on them, followed by several heavier ones in the chamber.

Ness looks around "What was the heaviest object a Mover could lift?" Ness asks. He knew this test would be cake.

Miyuki points to the five hundred pound weight "The heaviest recorded object that a Mover could life, was five hundred pounds and that was Really stressing and he only moved it about an inch or so." she explains.

Asuna nods "A Mover's strength is proportional to their Physical strength. So what they could normally lift with their arms, they can lift with their minds, but they need Direct line of sight to move an object." she finishes.

Ness nods. That's about what he figured. He holds up a hand, which starts to pop small, neon green sparks on an occasion. The 500lbs weight gets a slight neon tint around it as Ness effortlessly lifts it into the air and swings it around like it was weightless, before putting it back down.

Asuna had stars in her eyes when she seen that "Whoa..." she says wordlessly, before jumping into the air "Eeeyeess!" she squees with delight, once more flashing her pink panties.

Miyuki sighs, shaking her head slightly. She didn't feel like reminding her sister that they had Seen Ness do even more impressive stuff in their visions. Though, she Kinda knew how her sister felt. It was one thing to see someone in a vision move some that was over a few tons, but it was quite something different to see them move something that their strongest could barely move, like it was weightless.

Asuna grabs Ness' arm, squeezing it between her breasts "So, what did you want to move next? Or did you want to do something else? Like future sight or touch know?" she asks, she was really excited about what today held.

They ended up going to the touch know lab. There were various objects in tables, as well as people in lab coats watching over other touch knows or supposed ones.

Asuna leads Ness over to a table with a bunch of knives on it "The lab techs said that there are knives from many different places, that had done many different things with, but both me and Miyuki are too chicken to check." she says.

Ness quarks a brow "So you two are touch knows as well?" he asks. He should have figured, after all, with their ability to sense and detect energies, that Would, naturally, be one of their abilities.

Ness walks over to the table and places a hand on one of the knives "This is a chief's knive. He has been using it since he graduated from culinary school." he says, a lab tech was scribbling something down.

Ness moves onto the next knive as both twins watch with fascination "This knife is brand new, just out of the package and never been used... it was made in Japan and is quite pricy." he mumbles as he moves into the next one "A butcher's knive. Oh the things this knife has cut into." he says, the lab tech was nodding in approval.

Ness stops at one knife and frowns "This knife has a bad history to it." he says.

The lab tech quarks a brow as well "How could you possibly know that before even touching it?" he asks.

Ness looks on over to him "The same way the Twins here won't touch anything on this table because of it. They can feel the negative energy coming off of it, which seems to smother everything else around it." he explains.

The tech continues to write "And why would this object effect them to this degree and not you? Furthermore, are they able to disearn what the nature if the object without touching it? he asks, sounding excited by the prospect of learning something new about the Twins.

Ness looks over to the two young women, who both shake their heads "It wouldn't seem to be the case. Though, as for why they can't seem to sense anything through the haze of negativity coming off that object and I can, it's because in this instance, my senses are sharper and more refined." he says.

He then touches the object and nods "As I thought. This knive was used by a serial killer who used it in the murder of five victims and the horrible disfigurement of three more." he says as he lifts his hand away in disgust "You guys should get rid of that thing. The insanity that thing emninates is nauseating." he grumbles.

He moves over to another table with some tires on it "Ah, road trip time, huh. Maybe next time..." he looks over to the Twins "Let's go grab some lunch and talk about a few things." he suggests.

The three of them were in the cafeteria, they had some plates infront of them as well as some drinks "So, when did you two pick up on my energy?" he asks "I mean, where was I and what was I doing?"

Asuna thinks for a bit "Oh gosh, it's been a few years by out time, but I think it was when you were on a starship, fighting some Klingons." she says.

Miyuki nods "That's right, your ship's shields were down and they fired some torpedos at it and you used your telekinesis to send them into each other." she explains.

Ness nods "That's right... the engineering teams were trying their best to get the shields back up and I needed to concentrate on stopping the Klingon attacks." he says, recalling the event.

He looks over to the two young women "So, how do you follow my energy? Do you two predict where I'm gonna be, than keep an eye open, as it were?" he asks.

Asuna shrugs "Nothing like that. We sensed your energy and we track it through the dimensions. Sometimes we can see where you're going next..." she mumbles the last part.

Ness quarks a brow "Don't think I didn't notice that hesitation. What's going on?" he asks.

Asuna falls silent "After we seen you would be coming here, we looked to see where you would go afterwards, and, well, your energy ends after your next jump." she says "We're, not really sure what that means. Your energy has always kept going before."

Ness sighs, being reminded that they were still, after all, children "The simplist answer is, my journey will come to an end my next jump." he states.

Asuna blinks in alarm "Wait, does that mean you're gonna Die?" she asks, wide eyed.

Miyuki frowns "I, suppose, that would explain why we couldn't find your energy, after this jump..." she mumbles.

Ness shakes his head "Now ladies, don't jump the gun just yet." Ness says "It could be any Number of reasons. I could finally end up back home, a place I've been trying to get to for centuries now." he points out "It doesn't necessarily mean I'm gonna die because I don't move on from a place."

Asune nods letting out a breath "T-that's right. Not everything is doom and gloom." she says, trying to reassure herself.

But Miyuki didn't look convinced, but didn't say anything on the subject "How about, we go messing around some more?" she suggests "You know, after lunch that is."

Asune nods, looking happier "Hey, that's a good idea! I want to see Ness' attack powers in person!" she says, enthusiastically again.

Ness nods "That's a good idea. Once we're finished, we can head to a target range. This place Does have one, right?" he asks. He was trying to get their minds off of his future, something he might have to look into later.

After lunch, Ness and the Twins head to one of the targeting ranges "Now than, my standard attacks are Kinda limited in range, and I Normally don't have much use for them anymore, so I Might be a bit rusty when using them." he cautions them.

He looks over the targets, his audience watching his every move "Okay, here we go!" he says as he holds out a hand "PK FIRE!" he shouts as a small spark of fire shoots from his outstreched hand, which erupts into a massive pillar of fire!

This got some 'Ooohs and Ahhhs' from the Twins. Ness also knew that Guy and some scientists were watching. Ness didn't pause as he throws out both hands "PK THUNDER!" he yells as a Massive bolt of lightning shoots from his hands that he steers to hit as many targets as he could, before it dissipates.

Ness was sure that would be enough for them, but he had One more attack "PK Flash..." he says in a lazy tone as a small neon green spark slowly flies towards it's target. Before erupting into a Massive green explosion!

Ness smile as his handy work "Whoa... and That was you being Rusty?" Asuna says, blown away at the display of raw power she had just seen.

Ness shrugs "Like I said, I haven't had much need to use my specialized attacks in some time." he says "So, how many other Espers can use attacks in much the same manner?" he asks.

Miyuki thinks "There Are some out there, but they mainly work for the military. However, they mainly specialize in a single style of attack." she explains.

Ness nods "It's good to know that others with my kind of power exists here." he says "So, what's next? We've done touch knowing, telekinesis, and now attacks. How about some psychokinesis?" he asks.

This gets some excited looks from Both Twins "You Bet!" Asuna exclaimed "Psychokinetics are a thing on our world, but they are so rare that they might as well now exist." she explains "So the chance to see one in person is a once in a life time chance I don't intend to pass up!"

Ness spent the rest of the day showing off for the Twins. Not because he had a thing for them, he didn't, but they needed some excitement in their life and since they seemed to adore Ness, it wasn't much of a hassle for him.

After he was finished for the day, he still needed to talk to Guy about some things and he was certain that Guy already knew what it was he wanted to talk with him about.

He and Guy meet up and Guy holds out a manila envelope "Here. I've been working on it this entire time you've been with the Twins." he says "It's a bill that'll help the Normies to be free of Esper influence."

Ness takes the envelope and nods "If it's alright, I would like to give this a look once I get back to the hotel." he says "Today was quite, tiring."

Guy nods "That's not a problem. It's been a Day for us all. How about we grab a quick dinner and retire for the evening?" he asks.

Ness had no problem with that "Stacy gonna be with me again?" he asks. He didn't have a problem with her hanging around. She kinda had an 'neglected puppy' feel to her.

Guy nods "If that's what you both want, than I have no problems with it." he says. He knew he wouldn't be able to pull a fast one on Ness, of any kind, so he would play it straight and see where it lead them.

After spending the whole night looking over the new laws that Guy had written up, Ness wasn't too sure how this was going to play out, so he decided to do something a bit out of character for him and check out how things would end.

He puts his hand to his forehead and concentrates. After a minuet or so, he frowns *So, in the end, little will have changed in the immediate future, but at least the ground work has been laid.* he thinks.

He takes a shower, having been up all night, and heads on out. He needs to let Guy know what he thinks of these new laws that involved Normies.

It didn't take Ness long to get to Guy's hotel. The Esper greets Ness "So, I assume you had a chance to look the new laws over." he says "So what did ya think of them?" he asks "If there's anything wrong or that you didn't like, just let me know and I'm sure we can fix them." he says.

Ness thinks for a bit "You know, that's not a bad idea." he says "I looked into the immediate future and saw that little had changed, but with your help, perhaps we can change things for the better for Normies." he says.

He thinks for a bit "Just wondering, what do you think of Normies? Do you enjoy keeping them as, what was the word, trophies?" he asks.

After a moment, Guy shakes his head "No... I can't say that I do." he says. Ness could tell he was telling the truth "I, suppose, I only keep Stacy around, because she's good to me. She's always there when I need her and is willing to help out when I need it." he explains.

Ness nods "Than that's who these laws are for. They are for all the Stacy's of the world. The ones who want to be there, but are unable to be, because of their 'title' holder, I guess you could say." he points out "Now come on, let's make history."

It took Ness and Guy most of the day to come up with some laws that both could agree on and in the end, they were both happy with what they settled on.

Ness had to admit, while this was a change from what he Normally did, it was a nice change of pace. There was more than one way to help someone "Okay, now that we have This under control, what say you to some dinner?" he asks "My treat."

Guy chuckles "Ready to embrace the celebrity life style, finally?" he says.

Ness nods "Yeah. I've been going from one place to another for so long, and no one even taking notice of me, that it's good to be appreciated from time to time." he says with a slight grin.

Guy shakes his head, smiling "Although we appreciate the Hell out of you, you should know, the people you've been helping through out your travels, I'm certain They noticed and appreciated your help." he points out as he stands, stretching, before calling for a limo.

Once all three were in the limo, Guy has them go to the most high class restaurant in the city. Ness Did have some money from this place, the people having donated it when they heard he was on his way here. It wasn't as much as some of his Other funds, but it was more than enough.

It didn't take them long to get to where they were going. It was a joint called 'The High Life' There was a line outside, but Guy takes Ness, Stacy, and himself up to the front, and they were let in, no questions asked.

Right off the bat, Ness could smell marijuana and knew why this place was called 'The High Life'. "So, where are we gonna sit?" he asks, the place looked Packed.

Guy motions for the two of them to follow him "This way, I have a private room upstairs." he says over the music. This would go So much faster, if the two spoke using telepathy, but Ness didn't like communicating like that one there were Non telepaths in the group.

Once in the room, there were two Very attractive young women, dressed in bunny outfits, who were their servers. They were Espers, so they tried to communicate telepathically, but Ness was blocking them "I would like some orange juice and a burger, well done, with some fries." he orders.

After the other order, Ness looks out the window "Why aren't there any Normies in here?" he asks.

Guy nods slowly "Because our laws aren't yet in effect." he says "For now, only Espers are allowed in here. Once we get our laws out, that'll change." he points out.

Ness smiles "I must say, I'm quite surprised that you're so receptive to a change of this scale." he says.

Guy nods "After it was pointed out to me, I had a Lot of time to think about this matter, and I completely agree. It's about time we changed, so that everyone is included." he says "So, it wasn't a hard decision to come to. It would have happened sooner or later. This way, no one need get hurt."

After a night of partying, Ness decided to retire to his room. He was tired, both mentally and physically. He was certain there was an energy vampire in that club.

After a quick shower, he climbs into bed. Tomorrow was gonna be a big day. He and Guy would be presenting their new bill to the Senate. Guy warned Ness to expect resistance from them. Ness knew how to handle stubborn Senators.

Ness considered himself a pretty light sleeper, able to wake up at the drop of a pin, so when he woke up and felt each of his arms weighed down, he was a bit surprised.

When he saw Why his arms were heavy, he became even More surprised. Snuggled on each arm, was a different young woman and Ness knew exactly whom they were "Asuna, Miyuki, could you two wake up?" he asks as he moves his arms, they had fallen asleep due to a general lack of circulation.

After about five, or so, minuets. Both Twins were awake. Ness was rubbing his arm, getting the blood flowing again, though that wasn't really hard, considering what each young woman was wearing. Each was only wearing a night shirt, Asuna's was a button up and Miyuki's was a pull over and each shirt was only Just barely big enough to cover their lower half.

"Would either of you care to explain?" he asks. He wasn't all That upset, after all, that wasn't a Bad way to wake up in the morning.

Asuna nods "Don't blame Miyuki. This was my idea." she starts, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt "After the spending the day with you, we felt... safe, I guess you could say, around you and we, wanted that feeling again." she mumbles.

Ness quarks a brow "Explain. What do tou mean you felt safe? Is someone threatening you two?" he asks, switching into 'Ass-Kicker' mode.

Miyuki shakes her head "Nothing like that." she says "For the longest time, when we sleep, we've been having... nightmares... of something we can't describe and seeing, fills us witb so much dread, that we can't sleep for the rest of the night." she explains.

Asuna nods "The nightmares have been growing more frequent and even, we've been feeling this, nameless dread during the waking hours as well..." she mumbles.

"But yesterday, with you, that feeling wasn't there and tonight, the dreams were also gone." Miyuki says.

"This was the best night of sleep we've had in a very long while." Asuna mutters "All those sleepless nights was starting to take it's toll on our abilities."

Ness nods slowly. He couldn't stay upset at them afrer hearing that "These nightmares..." he starts, holding up a hand "Show them to me." he says.

Both girls look at each other, then reach out to Ness' hand. Tactile physical contact is the strongest way for psychics to communicate with each other and when they take Ness' hand, he sees...

"This how we always see it. Black on black, gliding through the vast darkness of space..." Asuna starts "We only know it's there, because it blots out the stars as it passes..." Miyuki continues "Your eyes just glide right off it, when you try to look at it. As if they can't quite focus on it." Asuna finishes.

Ness frowns. He knew this, nameless dread these two young women now feared. He had fought them before and was surprised, even if just a bit, to see they were here as well. He needed to warn them, The Shadows were here!

Asuna frowns "Wait, Shadows?" she asks, confused "You know what this thing is?" she asks, looking up to Ness.

Who, for his part, jerked his hand away from the girls "And you've even fought against them before?" Miyuki asks, confused as well.

"If You know of these things, than Why are we having nightmares about them?" Asuna asks, sounding upset.

Ness holds up a hand to silence them "Yes, I know of the Shadow, I've fought against them and we won." he starts "The reason you've been dreaming of them Is because I battled them." he states.

Asuna looks doubtful "And why is That?" she asks, folding her arms.

"Because you've been tracking me, you would have picked up on things from my past and since I spent the most time in the universe with the Shadows, it makes sense that their energies would be lingering." he explains "They Are millions of years older than our planet, after all." he says with a shrug.

The Twins looks at eachother, Asuna looked skeptical, and Miyuki looked blank, but Ness knew they had bought it "As long as I'm here, you two can stay with me to keep the nightmares away." he says. This got Asuna to brighten up. Even Miyuki looked relieved by this "Now you two get some rest. Big day tomorrow." he says.

The two nod and crawl back into bed, Ness getting some panty shots from Asuna, he thinks she did that on purpose. He could tell that she has a thing for him. He wouldn't lead her on like that, however.

After the two were asleep, Ness rummages though his backpack and gets out a communicator. It was one he got from Draal, keeper of the great machine on Epsilon 3. The planet that Babylon 5 orbited. Ness had spent much time there. He was saddened to see it go.

Ness would contact the Minbari after this situation with Normies and Espers was settled. He knew, that with an advanced notice, they would be able to deal with the Shadows this time as well.

The following day went a little something like this. The Twins woke up, they took a sperate showers, Asuna tried hitting on Ness when Miyuki was in the shower, Ness made them breakfast. They got ready for school and headed out.

Ness also got ready, then went to meet Guy. He and Stacy were already waiting for Ness and they went to the capitol building to talk with all the cranky senators and what the two of them had to say, didn't go over well with a lot of them.

It wasn't until Guy made a bold statement by saying that if they didn't like these changes, they could take it up with Ness, who had Guy's full backing to do whatever he wanted to these cranky senators. This quickly made them fall in line, as no one wanted to tangle with Ness, who looked pissed.

After they reviewed copies of the laws, which took most of the day (they had to order in), they finally gave in to Most of what was proposed and Ness said he would take it.

After a vote, the bills for Normies was passed and would take effect something next years, while they slowly introduced the laws. Meaning Stacy would no longer be bound to Guy, which was good news for her and meant she could now live her life how She wanted.

Guy offered to hire her on as his personal secretary. She accepted the offer, so nothing really changed, except for now she could leave whenever she wanted, and she now got paid more for her work.

Ness goes back to his apartment room, where he finds the Twins waiting for him. They were dressed casually, and they had brought over a suitcase of their stuff, each. Ness couldn't say anything, since he Did say they could stay with him.

After dinner, the girls get ready for bed, Asuna hitting on Ness again, this time with a more direct approach, but Ness, once more, resisted her charms.

After they Finally went to sleep, Ness gets out his communicator and tries to contact the Minbari and set up a meeting with them. All he could do now, was wait. And all this happened within the span or twenty-four hours.

It was about a few days later, Ness dodging Asuna's advances, which were getting more and more bold. He even told her that he would be leaving soon, but that only spurred her on even more. She even, Somehow, talked Miyuki into trying to talk him into staying.

Ness hears a beeping in his bag, it was his transmitter. He finds a shady spot and pulls it out. It was the Minbari! They had gotten his message are were intrigued as to Why an Earthling would know how to speak their language, so they sent one of their ships to make contact.

Though, as per Ness' instructions, they needed to use stealth, since Earth doesn't know of the existence of aliens. One of their shuttles touches down and a member of the Warrior Cast comes out, weapon at the ready.

Ness holds out something "I have something for you. To prove that I mean no harm." he says in the Minbar language.

The warrior takes the object and frowns when he looks it over "How did a Human get ahold of one of these?" he asks, glaring at Ness.

Ness nods as he pulls out a data crystal "It was given to me by Valen himself. In recognition of my efforts during the last Shadow War." he says "I shall wait here while you confirm what I say to be the truth." he offers.

Another warrior comes out to keep an eye on Ness while the one in charge goes back aboard the shuttle. A few minuets later, the lead warrior comes back out "He speaks the truth. He has been touched by Valen himself." he states "Let him on."

Ness nods his gratitude as he follows the warriors onboard. They strap on in and take off back to their main ship. Ness had seen these Capitol Ships before and he knew he could count on them being their allies. Now, however, he wasn't too sure.

The Minbari, in general, had no reason to be sore at the Humans, since the Minbari war wouldn't take place for another few hundred years. Still, best be ready for anything.

Ness was lead into a room with a single male Minbari. He looked old and distinguished "I hear you wanted to talk with us, young Anla'shok." he says.

Ness knew, right off the bat, who this was. He was the leader of the Grey Council! The ruling body of the Minbari people. If he had shown himself before Ness, an alien to his people, he must have faith in the Anla'shok "I have information, from two Very talented seers, who have shown me that the Shadows, have returned to their place of power." Ness says.

The older man frowns "This... is Most disturbing news, if it's true." he starts, thinking "Do you know this for a Fact that the Shadows have returned?" he asks.

Ness nods "They... have been able to track me, through out my travels, by locking onto my unique 'psychokinetic' energies..." he says. He had to say psychokinetic in English, since there wasn't any word, that he was aware of, in the Minbari language "I'm a very powerful psychic and they showed me what they had seen. They have No reason to see a Shadow vessel." he explains.

The older man nods slowly "We have some psychics onboard, we shall bring one here and confirm your story. Please wait here." he says as he gets up and heads out.

Ness waits, occasionally tapping the wall, using his PK Pulse to keep track of the people within. He had no doubt they were watching him and probably figured he was trying to escape. He picks up three people on their way to his room and Ness sits back down.

The door opens and a warrior walks in, along with someone from the Religious Cast comes in. He knew right away that she was the psychic that was mentioned, as she reached out with her mind to try to communicate "I normally don't like to communicate like this, but for the sake of time, I won't block you out." he says.

She sits across from him, while the warrior waited in the room, by the door *I wasn't sure if you really Were psychic or not. I apologize for trying to scan your thoughts.* she says in his mind.

Ness noticed that she has Really pretty eyes *No problem. Now that you know that I Am a psychic...* he holds out a hand *Let me show you what I had seen.*

Ness' fellow psychic takes his hand and Ness lets the images flow. The Shadow vessel, as it traveled through the stars. She quickly pulls her hand back, as the warrior gets ready to defend her, if needs be. She holds up a hand "I'm alright! It was, just startling to see the Ancient Enemy." she stands, rubbing her head "I, must inform the Grey Council, about what I have learned." she heads out.

And now Ness waited.

After hours of explaining to the Grey Council what he knew about the Shadows, he was finally dropped back off on Earth. Ness also suggested that they get in touch with Earth at some point and gave them all the information they would need. Because, the Shadow ships were vulnerable to psychics and Earth was a planet Full of them.

Ness was dead tired. That took more out of him than he was expecting. But the sun was getting ready to come up and the Twins would be up soon. Still, a little cat nap wouldn't hurt.

Ness lays down on the couch to rest. He wakes up to the alarm on his phone, which was quite loud. He grumbles as he sits up and shuts it off. He was asleep for about three hours!

Asuna comes wandering down, still in her night shirt, which was partially unbuttoned "What's with all the noise?" she asks in a sleepy voice as she wanders over to the couch and flops down after Ness gets up "It's Sunday... I'm suppose to be sleeping in..." she mumbles, sleeply.

Miyuki comes wandering out as well, a towel wrapped around her still damp body "The shower's free. It's all yours Asuna." she says as she dries off her hair, not caring that she was almost completely naked around Ness.

To be fair, Ness didn't care either. It's not like it was anything he hadn't seen thousands of times before "I'm gonna make some breakfast..." he mumbles. But what he Really meant was 'I'm gonna Order some breakfast...' as he wanders on over to the phone and orders room service for three.

Miyuki looks over to Ness "So, what's on todays activities list?" she asks, sitting on the couch, next to her sister, who was fading in and out of sleep.

Ness shrugs "Don't know. I kinda wanna make sure that the new laws are going to go over well with most people, then I suppose I should be thinking about heading out." he says.

This gets both girl's attention "Are you sure? I mean, you remember what we said, right? Couldn't you just stay here and be among your own people?" she asks. Asuna nods as she sits up "Yeah. Stay. You know you have a place among us, right? I mean, you're practically a super hero to us." she points out.

Ness shakes his head "You know I can't do that. If I were to stay, who would help all the people out there who need saving and can't help themselves out of their current situation?" he asks "You both know that this is what I do." he says.

Asuna frowns "Y-yeah... I know, but, when is it enough?" she asks "You've been doing this for almost a thousand years. When are you allowed to just rest and say you did a good thing and live Your life?" she asks.

Ness sighs "I made a promise to a friend, as she laid there, dying in my arms. I promised that as long as I was able to, I would always use the skills she taught to help others, who couldn't help themselves." he says "And I feel I haven't yet lived up to that promise." he points out.

Ness spends the rest of the day wandering about, checking over how things were going. He was the big celebrity on campus at the moment, and as such, he was getting swarmed by people. He didn't seem to mind. It was good to be appreciated from time to time. After all, what he does is Sometimes hard, and a little acknowledgement isn't a bad thing.

He heads to Guy's office to check on things and when he got there, Stacy was still hanging around, despite having been freed from any obligations she once had. Ness knew why. She was sweet on Guy, and he on her, which was why he wanted her close by.

"So how goes everything in the realm of the lay abiding?" he asks.

Guy was looking over papers "I had gotten hit with Many complaints about this new law and even threats of being sued for it..." he mumbles "So how do you think it's going?" he asks, sarcastically.

Ness nods, like he had the answers to all questions, everywhere "I'm sure you'll pull through this. I have every confidence in you and your abilities!" he says with a thumbs up.

Guy gives Ness the evil eye "So you're just going to Leave me to clean up the Mess that You created?" he growls.

Ness shakes his head "Of course not. I was going to help you if you needed it. After all, we both agreed to this and it would be pretty irresponsible of me to just Leave in your time of need." he says as he pulls up a chair "Okay, tell me what you need me to do." he says.

It took a majority of the day, but Ness Finally left the office to head back to his place. He was hesitant, because he knew the Twins were there and they were going to pester him into staying, and he just couldn't do that.

So, he heads to an outta the way diner, which was pretty empty for this time of the night. There was like, one other person, which was fine with Ness. He pulls out a small holo recorder and a data crystal. He was on the thing until morning, laying out exactly what Guy needed to do and he left a message to the Twins as well.

He was tired, but he had steeled himself and needed to see this through. He wanders on over to a small post office and sends the holo reader/writer and data crystal to Guy, then he goes into the alley next to it, looks around, holds out his hand and pulls something unseen towards himself, which opens a PK Vortex with a crack of thunder! He looks back towards his apartment "See ya later, girls." he says before jumping in, the vortex closing behind himself.
