Federation Tour Part one

Lura sat in her chambers after a tiring day of work.

Ever since the Federation started to become a thing she had been running around a lot and doing various things to get things up and running. The idea and organization had so much potential and she wanted to get the building done as quickly as possible, hence  why the people from Cybertron to get to work.

And now she was dealing with another headache but something she felt needed to be done.

In accordance to making amends to some of the races they wronged in the past, Lura and the others took it upon themselves to get back to repair as much damage as they could. Of course this was with mixed results. Depending on the race in question they may be open to it, or not and how long lived they were also was a factor. It was easier to talk to a people where past things were just a distant memory.

On a holographic screen was a humanoid man with orange skin talking to Lura, not to pleased or impressed about things. "..I have nothing further to say. Just because it happened generations ago from your short feeble lives are concerned does not make the case for us. You ravaged our planet, used our women and humiliated us. I know you demons and your true colors beneath that surface. Your federation is a farce, and the fact they allowed Alusarian's and Sayain's in it is proof as such. Never mind it was founded by savages on earth that fight each other all the time. We are not fooled by your act even if a lot of the galactic commonuty is. and soon we shall prove it."

This got a deep frown from the queen, not liking the last part as it sounded ominous. "Is that a threat councilor?"

"It's whatever you want it to be demon." and after that the image was gone.

Lura sighed, rubbing her temples. She had expected it on some level just not on that level of anomisity towards her people but she at least tried.

Not to long after, her husband stepped into her personal chambers. "I have to say its been much more lively here as of late. Are you all right?"

Lura briefly shook her head. "It's nothing Varon. Nothing we haven't dealt with before."

In response, he moved closer, taking her hand and kissing it. "I wouldn't be much of a good long term mate if I didn't see what troubles them. I know you Lura even when you try to hide it. What ails you?"

After a bit of pause, Lura repeated the meeting they had with the Klausian where Varon was quite until she finished. "I have to say, their people can certainly hold a grudge.  I suppose be long lived its somewhat more expected. We're Alusarian's at the end of a day, our deeds speak for us not words. If they can't see its on them. Besides we have a relatively good image in present day compared to our forefathers. As for their little threat, I'd pay it no mind."

"I know. It's just sometimes its easier said then done." Lura smiled. "I'm just glad you're here, I don't think I could do it on my own. But in lighter news, I have decided to send Kai and Lila on their pilgrimage. It be good for them long term and the federation."

Kai and Lila were going to visit the various Federation worlds in person and spend time on each of them to better get used to the different races that would be in them. It was one thing to read about it, it was another thing to be there in person. It would also be good for personal growth and what self respecting Alusarian wasn't about that?

So once they got that from their mother, the two set off to visit each one which means they would likely be gone from Alus for a bit. They made sure they had their specialized suits made and ready for two planets in particular that didn't have the best environment. One was extremely cold and the other one couldn't normally breath in it properly.

Vegeta was their first stop. This would of been earth but Cedrick and Alden were still working things out so until Alus got the go ahead it was fine to do so, the two future leaders be staying away from that for now.

It did mean a bit of boredom from time to time on a ship ride when not not in hyper sleep.

Briefly Kai thought of his older friend Darrel who had ended up with the Planet Trade.  Many wouldn't think much of it but he felt perhaps it could of been something they could have avoided if not how things had turned out. There were some Alusarian families that were a bit to traditional in the worse ways for Kai's liking. The Geven family Darrel was apart of was one of those.

His father one night affair with their mother once, resulting in a child. Something while definitely life changing but the issue was? Geven family had a long blood feud, On top of that, as both his parents ended dying and he ended up with the Geven family, he was treated like a outsider by them. Merely tolerated because they had nowhere to go. It was absurd a family would hold such things, as Kai thought put that nonsense to bed. Back when clan rivalries were a common thing.

Apparently not for some.

The last he saw them Darrel had said he was going to leave Alus to make his own way and he hadn't seen them since then, just heard apparently he was spotted with them. Kai had no clue what happened but he felt confident if things had been different he wouldn't have gone that way. It was for that reason Kai felt very passionate about helping those if he could from going that path if it was within his power. He hadn't been able to help Darrel, but perhaps he'd be able to help others along the way.

A female AI voice interrupted his thoughts informing Kai they arrived in atmosphere cutting off his musings for the moment. Kai went to the control room of the of the ship to send a message down below of having permission to dock; they knew they were coming ahead of time of course.

As for his sister? She was dead to the world. He'd have to wake them up.

Teala had cautioned the kids from wandering off alone anywhere on Vegeta. The Saiyan people always liked to fight against the Alusarian people, just because.

But she assured everyone that they were in good hands at the palace and that if they needed anything, just ask and she would see that she got it.

She Did wonder how things were going with the Federation charter. Cedrick said she would take care of writing it up and she would present it to them once it was finished. The poor girl seemed very much alone and was doing things by herself. She needed a good, strong man in her life is what she needed! Maybe Teala could help with that.

Saying there be a ton of potentially strong people that would want to throw hands with them and they should stay put kinda would have the opposite effect on a true blooded(TM) Alusarian like Lila. But she also would want to make a good impression on another leader so she would behave and bide by their wishes when they got there. Tempting as it was otherwise, she had to learn to ignore her instincts when they made her do stupid things and she needed to think of the bigger picture.

Speaking of, once the two had been cleared and sorted out to land Joseph Reaver was waiting for them. "You guys got here earlier then expected. Welcome."

Kai shook the older man's hand. "It's a honor meeting you the first time."

"Yeah. We heard a lot about you, that Jason fellow to who's suppose to be really strong. This is our first time being here, its really nice meeting you." Lila had to force herself to speak more proper, she was suppose to be more regal like her mother..well one of these days she supposed.

Joseph motioned for them to follow inside. "They come and go as they want so don't expect to run into them. I'll show where you'll be staying. If Teala isn't busy she'll meet us before too long."

Teala was in her office, taking two calls between the Artican and the Cybertronians. It was about the nature of their individual planets and not Really being very hospitable for visitors. She was talking about setting up specific areas where off worlders can safely go. Vegeta needed to be included in these talks, because it was in the same boat with it's x10 gravity.

She sighs and asks for a 30 minuet break. She wanders out of her office and sees Joseph. He always brings a smile to her face "Hello, my Joseph." she says. She notices their guests "Greetings, honored guests. Welcome to my home." she says.

"It's good to see you too." Joseph meant it to, far as he was concerned Teala was his soulmate.  He really couldn't ask for a better partner. "These two are going to be staying with us for a bit."

"We aren't sure how long, but enough to get a idea of things. We plan on giving all the Federatio worlds a visit." Kai said to Joseph and addressed Teala respectfully. "Pleasure meeting you again."

Lila wondered how her mother and Teala could be so regal, but she was well..not. Sure she could try but it didn't really come naturally to her. Her older brother had that more down pact then she did.  Lila was normally confident in all regards but in that area not as much. Gah. Stop being stupid Lila. Stay focused and that stuff will come.

"Thank you for taking us in your home." Lila said. "Uh, you mentioned something about not wandering Vegeta alone. So I'm guessing if we want to see more, we'll need a escort?"

She had to swallow her Alusarian pride and roll with things. More so then that she wanted to prove she was, in fact, a young adult and to do that she needed to act like it.

If only I wasn't so short people would take me more seriously.

Teala nods to them "I'll ask Lee if he can watch over you. With such a strong member of the royal family looking out for your safety, no one would Dare try to harm you." Teala offers. Though, she had concerns about Lee's reaction to babysitting.

Kai of course heard of the Elder Lee, most Alusarian's worth their salt would of heard of them in some form. While out of the two he was the more level headed and calmer one, he couldn't deny at least part of him wasn't too fond of it. He understood the logic behind it, but he already had a slight inferiority complex with other Alusarian's because of his lower growth rate and lack of s cells. Besides wouldn't someone that important have more important things to do then babysit?

He pushed it aside as foolishness soon after though. If he wanted to get where he needed to be, then there was no room for doubt or second guessing.

"That's very gracious of you." Kai started once she finished. "But for now, I think we'll just try to get used to this palace before we head out. Just wondering, are there people around myself and sister age around here?"

Joseph nodded a bit. "In the palace? There are some around, or a bit older then you. More so off palace of course. If you like I can see about having you two meet some that fit with you and your sister to potentially hang out with during your stay. We did a bit of the same with Kate growing up. Teala?" The reason Joseph said the last bit because he felt they were a team when together so it was important to get their input.

Teala thinks for a moment "We do have some youngsters in the palace, but they're just as likely to want to fight as anyone outside." she chuckles.

She excuses herself as she was going to see about contacting Lee. After several tries, she decided she wasn't goibg to get ahold of him, so she got ahold of Cotto and asked him if he would be willing to protect the next generation of royal rulers of Alus. He agreed.

Lila was fine with that if so, after all you can tell more about a person by how they fight then anything else. What kind of Alusarian wasn't into fights?

Her stomach grumbled and she scratched her head. "I guess I'm more hungry then I thought.."

Joseph chuckled. "I noticed. I'll show you to the kitchen."

As the two followed the older man, Kai asked a question both had been on their minds. "So besides you and your daughter are there any other Alusarian's that live here?"

Joseph thought for a moment. "Not really. The only one we have is a young woman named Gina who's a student of one of Teala's bodyguards. She doesn't live here but who knows if that'll change. You might see them around since they're around the palace a lot."

The kitchen was the typical Saiyan kitchen. All meat and no vegetables to be seen. There Was some rice-looking stuff, but that was because Joseph got Teala hooked on it.

There a were a few female Saiyans back there and unlike normal female Saiyans, these ones looked a bit more feminine and smaller.

"Oh, Joseph, what can we get for you?" asks one of them. Most Saiyans seem to refuse to call him 'King Joseph'.

"I have to get going soon after this is taken care of, but you'll be fine." Joseph said as he led them in.

The palace was different then the one Kai was used to back at home with his own family, but not in the bad way. There seemed to be mostly meat and no vegetables which was more then fine since most Alusarian's were mot into meat then anything else.(Go figure)

It seemed the cooks were mostly women and they were kind of cute. The only potentially non Sayain there eating may of been that Gina woman they mentioned earlier since it didn't match the records of princess Kate but he wouldn't know unless he or his sister talked to them.

Joseph nodded, not bothered by the lack of title. "Not for me. I wanted you to make some stew for Prince Kai and Princess Lila from Alus here."

The head cook raises a brow "It's gonna take about an hour to get it ready." she says as she nods to her staff. Two of them start on the stew while the others keep working on tonight's dinner.

Joseph turned back towards them, handing them both a set of keys. "When you're ready, just down the hall at the dead end will be your two rooms; you can't miss them. We have them reserved for special guest most of the time."

"So is princess Kate around?" Lila hadn't seen or heard them since they stepped in.

Joseph thinks for a moment. "They should arrive either sometime today or tomorrow. Maybe later then that if something comes up along the way. They had their fill of journeying and wanted to come back, plus see their family and friends again. If you'll excuse me you two have a good day."

Once the older Alusarian  left, the two went to where Gina was sitting by herself. "Mind if we sit here?"

The woman shrugged a bit. "I don't mind. Besides kinda always wanted to meet the new blood of the royal family. Gina, nice to meet ya two. Your Kai and Lila right?"

"Yep! That be us." Lila said pleased on the recognized, she didn't care it didn't sound as formal for the moment. "So how's it been living on Vegeta?" She asked, a bit eager to hear something.

Gina paused a bit then sighed dramatically. "Rough, need to look after yourself, people want to regularly fight you. Will either make or break you depending. Builds a hell of a lot of character to."

"In other words, perfect for improving as a self sustained warrior. Just like our ancestors intended." She finished.

Lila's eyes sparkled. "I know right?"

Kai had seen Lila chum it up with Gina as if they were long lost sisters. So there's two of them now. It wasn't that Kai didn't take the path of the warrior seriously, just his approach was a lot different then his sisters, He was ice to her fire so to speak. Both were needed in his opinion though instead of relying too heavily on either one.

The rest was rather uneventful and the two headed back towards their rooms to wait for the upcoming meal whenever it was done. "It's been interesting so far."

"Indeed. It has." Kai agreed with his sister. "It's my first time being here in person so wasn't sure what I was expecting."

Lila shrugged a bit. "I guess. Looking forward to exploring the place later. Though you behave and don't sneak girls into your chambers." She teased them.

He rolled his eyes in response. "It was one time and I didn't sneak them in, they unlocked the door." Ever since that incident with the maid it seemed like she was never going to let him live it down.

"Hm. I don't recall them leaving til later." Lila said cheekily.

"...I'll see you later." Kai didn't even respond, giving the canned response of someone who had lost the argument as he headed to his own chambers. Once it was about actual time they would head back to the kitchen.

Key had just returned from 'Nowhere', visiting her sister, who was still trying to talk her into moving there. She couldn't. Key had a duty to Lee to stay with him, even if Lee himself never said she needed to. Key had a feeling that Lee needed her, so she stayed.

The palace was certainly busy today. Busier then was normal. It seemed some 'important' people from the neighboring systems were visiting today, or something of that nature. Key didn't really care. She had her own duties to see to.

Kai was feeling more then a bit of wounded pride besides the bruises and such he from the fight with Lenor. He didn't like Kai and thought he had no business being a future leader, as he thought with his 'disability' it would hold them back too much. To them a Alusarian king that couldn't properly protect their people was useless.

Of course it did lead to a spar once a official challenge was announced and while Kai had tried to use their pride against them not to use his super form, it hadn't mattered in the end.

"Well, you're up." Lila walked into the room Kai was recovering from after he got looked at. She crossed her arms over her large bust. "You have something you want to say?"

Kai mentally sighed, he knew what she was getting at. "I'm sorry I was being a dick and letting my own personal pride get in the way by just brushing you off."

"And?" She pressed.

"And I'll keep that in mind for next time."

"And that I'm the best younger sister ever and I'm never wrong?"

"Don't push it." Kai fought a small smile at this then laid back down his bed. "..Still thought I'd do a lot better then what I did.."

Lila tilted her head a bit. "Well, you win and lose some right? I'm not gonna rag on you cause I know this was building up then just a spur of the moment and you already know me. Just lesson for next time."

Kai had finished his meditating roughly around the time to stew was supposedly going to be done with. He was quite hungry by then and could go for something to eat, or two. His first impressions of Joseph and Teala was in a sense they reminded him a bit of his own parents with how they interacted with each other. It was definitely something he wanted for himself in a mate one of these days as his parents while not perfect were role models in a variety of things.

Lila joined them after he knocked on her door, having fallen asleep instead. "Sorry, guess I drifted off. Let's get our meal in."

On their way Kai did notice another attractive Sayain woman, he could remember them slightly from what Joseph had said. They could at least say hello along the way so he followed through with it, his sister in tow. "Afternoon. You're Key right? Joseph mentioned you once before. My name is Kai and this is my sister Lila from Alus. It's nice to meet you."

Key looks over to them "Yes, that's correct. I am Key and I know who you two are, as I have heard Queen Teala talk about your family quite often. She's rather fond of your mother." she says in an almost deadpan voice "Are you here for something to eat?" she asks, taking note that they were heading towards the kitchen, same as her.

"I think it might be part because they have somewhat similar struggles, like some seeing their people more then monsters. That's my guess at least I don't know." Lila admitted with a shrug.

"Maybe. But yes, we are with some stew. Are you going to eat to?" Kai had noticed the monotone but didn't comment out of it politeness as it was maybe just how they talked. Just like he wasn't going to stare at them or anything, much of a looker as she was.

She had a really nice figure and hips though.

Key nods "Yes. I'm heading to get something to eat, but it's not going to be stew." she says "It's going to be a sizable chunk of meat. she says. She did notice how Kia was looking at her, but it didn't bother her.

Kai nodded in approval. "Chunks of meat are some of the best. But if we're heading the same way do you mind the extra company? We don't many people to really interact with just yet."

Lila had noticed to, but she'd leave it alone for now and give him a hard time about it when it was just the two of them later.

Key shrugs "I have no objections." she says as she continues to the kitchen "Why are you two here?" she asks. Not trying to be rude, but that's just how Saiyan's are.

Kai and Lila took no offense, it was the same way some Alusarian's were as well more directly to the point. If they couldn't handle a little words they had no use in the battle field as Amra had said.

"We're traveling most of the Federation worlds to get a better feel of them. Mom thought it be a good idea. Also to get my brother a mate" Lila started, managing to keep her face Completely serious even though it was hard.

Kai paid Lila no mind. "The only one we can't visit yet is earth but many on our to visit list. And ignore Lila's last part, she likes giving me a hard time." At least he was relatively sure she was doing the usual, she was hard to tell sometimes.

Key slows as she looks at the siblings "What is this 'Federation' you speak of?" she asks "I have not heard of it before now."

Kai wasn't as surprised since for all he knew Key could have only very recently came back and the whole thing was extremely new. "From what I've heard and seen, it seems a mutual defense and alliance of planets. That by itself is nothing new, but it seems like they're doing much more then that but I'm not quite sure of the details. It was started by earth by one Cedrick Darkside who along with others saved our planet from the Trojan where the head quaters is being built."

The Alusarian's weren't happy about that still and afterwards they started grinding in terms of new technology. They did not like being pushed around and the encounter both bruised their pride and lit a fire so to speak.

Lila decided to add her own two cents. "There's about several worlds apart of things with Vegeta being one of em. There's Cryogenia, Vegeta and Alus naturally, Acor, Eldar, and Cybertron. Teala mentioned Jurai but since they have a stick sh--" She paused remembering the politically correct term and wanting to be more like her mother. "I mean more traditional, its not likely. Cedrick is suppose to send a charter or something, so more details I can't give as a yet but suffice to say its suppose to be much more then a traditional alliance."

Kai nodded a bit as they got closer. "There's also suppose to be someone to represent their people for this Federation each. Vegeta has Joseph, but he has said he would prefer a Sayain since he and Teala are trying to improve image. But it has to wait both to find someone who fits, but what the charter and everything else before they can find said good pick."

Key nods in agreement "I agree with Joseph. A Saiyan should represent my people." she says. But the problem was, most Saiyans were way too hot headed to be an ambassador to her people. There Were a few, but they weren't the brightest. The only ones she could think of, off hand, is Cotto and Lee. But she doubted either would agree to it.

It was the catch twenty two of the situation. In order to put their money where their mouth is, they needed a Sayain but at the same time it may prove difficult for the right one. If nothing else Kai was sure since they were friends with that Jason character that always seemed to know more then they let on for some reason, they probably be able to find someone sooner or later.

They were at the kitchen area around this time, which meant food, which also meant for hungry Alusarian's they sort of got tunnel vision. "I'm guessing that's not something that would really interest you would it?"
