Can't Fight Fate

"Yeah, I'll go." Torin got up to get ready.

"I'm not letting you two go alone. In fact, if its that bad where those two can't respond we should All go if we can if its due to a threat." Camlo said. "But I'm not the boss."

Abraxus nods "Good thinking. But we'll need someone to stay here with Harlan, incase trouble finds us again." he says and that was where Shadow came in.

The black hedgehog could take a hint well enough "Very well. But if Any trouble comes up, you call us in." he states in a no-nonsense tone.

Abraxus nods, then looks to Camlo and Torin "Let's get going. Hopefully it's nothing, but with our luck, better safe than sorry." he says as he starts out.

Torin and Camlo followed, she would have felt better if Shadow and Harlan had came as well but it wasn't her choice in the matter. With Christine gone, they would need some sort of replacement eventually. She had no clue if she was gone just for now, or for good though.

The three had been wandering around, looking for their missing members for about an hour. Their search had taken them close to a construction site, when they feels a very faint tremor.

Abraxus looks around "Earthquake? Japan gets a lot of those." he mumbles to the others. Then he stops suddenly "Wait! I hear the sounds of battle." he says as he draws his sword and looks towards the construction site "Let's check it out, quietly." he says as he starts towards the yard.

It seemed that the closer they got, the colder it seemed to get and the dimmer the lights got too. Abraxus felt an uneasy feeling of apprehension start to take over the closer they got. He looks to the others "A fearful presents and a strong one. Try to think 'happy thoughts'." he says.

As they finally reached their destination, there were, indeed, two people fighting. One was Mad and the other was, well, the best way to describe his opponent, was some kind of Demon creature and it seemed to be winning!

Torin was not taking Any chances considering the presence of the thing and what was going on, plus Shadow did say to call if any trouble propped up. So he did; hopefully he'd pick up soon.

The Heartless got her scythe, hitting the button which the blade popped out with the trademark click. She didn't rush in yet in blindly though as she held herself back just for one moment. "The plan?" She said to Abraxus.

Abraxus had sent Shadow their GPS coordinates, that way Harlan could find where they were and open a portal to them. Abraxus looks to his teammates "Camlo and myself will assist Mad until Shadow and Harlan get here. Torin, when they get here, have them try to get behind this thing and light him up! In the mean time, I need you to find Joyce. I have a feeling she might be injured." he says, then looks to Camlo "Let's do this!" he says.

While the two were, apparently, evenly matched as far as skill went, the demon was clearly the stronger of the two, as he sent Mad flying into a steel support girder and in a half second, he had covered the distance and him and Mad were at it again!

Camlo didn't say anything as she leapt into action, teleporting once to cross the distance as her scythe came down to a angle to strike the creature; mindful of her distance as not to hit Mad of course. She suspected with the things speed, it would likely dodge or attempt to grab and use her monetum against her, either way she was fine with.

Torin in the mean time went to look around for Joyce. He hoped she was okay.

Abraxus rushes into battle, not able to teleport like Camlo, but was making good time nonetheless. He took note of Camlo's approach to the fight and came to the same conclusion and he went to position himself to back her up incase one of those happened.

The demon, for his part, was aware of Camlo's attack, but didn't stop attacking Mad until the last second, then he acted! By moving Mad in the direct line of Camlo's attack!

A dark portal opened not too far from the construction site and Shadow comes shooting out in a red and black blur of raw power and all directed at this newest opponent!

Harlan jumps out of the portal as well, darkness keyblade in hand, and goes looking for Torin. It doesn't take him long to find his fellow keyblader "Oi! What's going on, mate?" he asks.

Camlo cursed, she had to teleport to avoid hitting Mad, since with the momentum of her swing, she'd be unable to stop from hitting him. Before she could leap into the fray she saw Shadow charge like a bat out of hell and stepped back a little bit.

With people engaging in hand to hand, she had to be extra careful of her allies. Two of them(Mad and Shadow) were primary hand to hand fighters as is.

Torin shook his head. "Hell if I know. Mad's fighting some monster or something and Joyce is missing so I'm trying to find her. The plan was for you and Shadow to attack from behind, but there's no point with the element of surprise gone now. I think the four can handle it, so could you help me look for Joyce?"

Mad was about to capitalize on the Demonicus leaving himself wide open like he did, when trying to stop Camlo's attack, but he never got the chance. Shadow nailed the corrupt warrior with a flying side-kick that sent both Mad and the Demonicus flying!

This didn't stop either of them, however, as both Mad and his corrupt counterpart kept fighting even as they sailed through the air! Mad manages to kick himself away and pulls out a pair of Specialized Guns and begin opening fire on the Demonicus!

It really wasn't too hard to find Joyce. All Torin and Harlan needed to do was follow the path of destruction that showed them where this fight started and there she was. She was slowly making her way to the construction yard, nursing her leg. It looks like she had hurt her leg.

Harlan runs over "Oi! Joyce, are you alright, love?" he asks as he helps her.

She nods "Yeah. I'm fine. As embarrassing as it is, when the fight started, I took a tumble and sprained my ankle. Nothing to worry about." she explains "I assume the rest of the team is fighting that thing?" she asks.

Camlo was in the air but she was unable to really close in on the Demoncius with Mad firing the guns, unless of course she wished to find herself filled with bullets. After this, she decided the group while powerful needed some team work drills when it came to all fighting a single powerful opponent.

Torin nodded a bit turning in their general direction. "Yeah. They are. Dunno what exactly is, maybe Abraxus knows since he can literally see what someone's race is."

Mad's guns weren't firing bullets, but rather concentrated darkness. The multi-barreled gun was rapid firing, while the other fired explosive blasts of dark energy. This, however, seemed to be taking a toll on Mad, the more he used them.

This fact hadn't gone unnoticed by Abraxus, or the Demonicus. While it could dodge the explosive rounds, it was having a hard time staying out of the line of fire with the rapid fire rounds, so he was using the construction yard for cover.

Abraxus took advantage of it being distracted by Mad and moved in for the attack, regardless if he was in the line of fire or not. He quietly moves behind the creature, his high powered taser at the ready, along with his sword. He wasn't going to take any chances.

Just as Abraxus was just about in position, Mad seemed to run out of 'ammo', as it were, and the Demonicus pressed the advantage! In the blink of an eye it was gone! Rushing at Mad with insane speeds!

As Torin came back and witnessed what was happening while not being close enough he did the Only thing he could that made sense. Torin hurled the Keyblade with all his might towards the Demoncius, or rather a few feet ahead in order to catch them. Even if only nicked him or hit them with the blunt edge, hopefully it would give that second distraction for the others. It helped the Keyblade could just come back anyway.

As the Demonicus was shooting towards Mad, Shadow slams into the creature again, catching Torin's Keyblade in the process, and the two of them go flying through the air, smashing into everything in their way, all the while Shadow was attacking with Torin's weapon!

This hardly seemed to phase the monster, as he grabs Shadow and throws him off! Just as Shadow finished Torin's attack, by throwing the Keyblade forward and the weapon hits it's mark, just as Harlan opens up with his Darkness powers, firing Darkness Blasts and Dark Lightning at the creature as it flies back!

Abraxus didn't like being useless in a battle, but the reality of it was, he was just out matched by this thing. He takes off his coat and flexes his arms with a grunt as small to medium, multi-colored crystal spikes jut out of his arms and shoulders! He breaks one off and throws at the Demonicus, which turns into a bolt of lightning!

"We need to get Mad back on his feet!" Harlan yells to Torin over the sound of his attack "Those guns of his seem to be the most effective weapon we have against this thing!" he points out as he fires another bolt of Dark Lightning! This constant use of dark energy was starting to take it's toll on Harlan.

"I get it, but don't over do it." Torin replied back before heading towards where Mad was, summoning his Keyblade when Shadow was done with it. He was going have to defend Mad until he got on his feet. "Abraxus, Camlo, Harlan had the idea that Mad's guns are the only thing doing damage at the moment so we gotta protect him until he gets back on his feet."

After, if they got through this in one piece, they would Seriously need to find a healer of some kind. One that could fight as well so they weren't dead weight besides that.

Joyce comes jogging over to Mad, whip in hand, leg looking healed "Darkness is Mad's strength!" she calls to Torin "That's why this creature led us here! So Mad couldn't use his full strength! Take out the generator to the lights!" she calls.

Abraxus didn't need to be told twice! He breaks off a red crystal and throws it as the generator, which turns into a fireball!

But the Demonicus was suddenly There! He smacks the fireball aside with some kind of strange energy that Abraxus hadn't seen before. This didn't stop Harlan from making his move for the generator, shooting a bolt of Dark Lightning at it! The Demonicus counters Harlan's attack!

Joyce looks over to Torin and pulls out two cards from her DSS deck "Torin!" she hands the cards to her teammate "These cards will create a powerful barrier that'll stop even that things physical attacks, but it won't last long." she explains "Use them to help you destroy the generator while that thing's distracted!" she says "To use them, hold them up and yell 'Barrier' and it'll activate." she instructs.

Camlo said nothing but she nodded to Torin who understood she'd do her best to cover him and distract the thing while Torin went to work.

"Okay. I'll give it a shot." Torin took the two cards, hoping this would work out or they would be in trouble. The activation part was easy, but other then that it would be up in the air.

Joyce gets on her throat mic "Listen everyone, Torin's going to make a stealth run for the generator. Keep that monster distracted!" she says. She knew they had theirs on, having been briefed Not to go out on patrol without them.

Abraxus didn't need to be told twice, though, once Shadow got back into the fight, it would be easy to get to the generator and the black and red hedgehog didn't keep anyone waiting!

A black and red blur slams into the Demonicus once again and the two go flying into the construction building! Shadow shoots into the air, taking his enemy with him, as he nails the Demonicus with rapid fire punches to the stomach!

This seemed to work, until they reached the top of the building and then the Demonicus grabs Shadow and throws him, with impressive force, back to the ground and then jumps off the building!

Not too far off, a swirl of fire and Cedrick finds herself at the very same construction yard, wondering what the hell was going on.

While the others were doing their thing, Torin made a bee line to the generator to destroy, Keyblade at the ready. He didn't use barrier yet, since he'd have to wait until the thing actually tried to attack him or he'd waste it. But if it was distracted long enough, he could perhaps do it even without the cards.

There was a good chance that the Demonicus would keep his focus on his opponents, rather then Torin at the moment. Because Shadow, as he was falling, charges up a ball of energy "CHAOS BLAST!!" he yells as he throws the energy ball, just as he hits the ground!

The attack would have hit the Demonicus, if he hadn't suddenly unfurled a pair of leathery bat wings and shot out of the way, heading straight for Torin!

However, the seemingly unstoppable monster was suddenly swarmed by over a dozen flaming, horned skulls and a half a dozen imp-like creatures!

Abraxus knew whom these monsters belonged to, but there was no time! He needed to focus on the creature before them. He breaks off a blue crystal and throws it to Torin "Torin, use this! Just throw it and it'll turn into a bolt of lightning!" he yells to his teammate.

Cedrick, for her part, was keeping the pressure on the Demonicus by flooding it with a swarm of Darklings and Forgotten to keep it busy until Abraxus can kill it. She knew that's what he does, after all. She had summoned an Efreet to lob fireballs at the monster in question. To keep it off balance.

Torin wasted No time, discharging the Keyblade so he could take Abraxus' item and then hurl it at the generator with all his strength; hopefully destroying it.

'Is that Cedrick?' Camlo thought to herself, remembering a bit of things but there was really no time for that now.

Oh it destroyed it alright! As soon as Torin threw the crystal, it formed into a massive bolt of lightning that exploded on contact with the generator! All the construction lights shut off! Joyce looks over to Mad, he seems to be getting visibly stronger, now that the lights are off.

"Yeeessss...." Mad hears something hiss in his head "use usss..." the Darkness hisses in his mind *No.* Mad thinks. "Use Usss..." the Darkness urges again "No!" Mad thinks as he feels the Darkness struggling to get loose "USE US!!" the Darkness screams in his mind!

Mad lets out a massive roar as darkness swirls around him! It engulfs him and forms some kind of bone-like armor as a cloud of darkness hangs around him and two snake/eel-like creatures made of pure dark energy form over his shoulders! One has a thick head with horns and tusks and the other has blade-like spikes and sharp teeth!

Mad's skin had gone a shade of shadow and his vanes were glowing red, as were his eyes "He...Is...All...Mine!" he snarls as he suddenly disappears in a cloud of darkness and slams into the Demonicus with deadly force! The two snake/eels were also attacking. The one with the tusks seemed to be made for smashing and the one with the spikes was for slashing.

The two seemed almost evenly matched, as the Demonicus was using his wings as stabbing weapons as well, once he wrapped his wings up, that was.

Abraxus stops "What the Hell?" he asks as Shadow walks over, holding his arm, which had blood dribbling down "There's nothing in his profile that said he had a transformation. Let alone one like that." the black and red hedgehog says.

Joyce slowly walks over to the others "It's not something he likes to talk about or even use. If it were up to him, he wouldn't even have a form like that." she says "What you're seeing, is his true form, I guess you could call it." she mumbles.

Abraxus glares at her "We'll talk about this, at length, later." he says, then looks over his shoulder to Cedrick "Camlo, Harlan, get everyone home. There's nothing more we can do for Mad against that thing. Not in his current condition." he says.

Camlo nodded slightly to that. "All right. Let's go then."

Torin was fine with that, he didn't know what was going on at all anymore or if that woman was Cedrick or Anita he mentioned a while back(so they wouldn't target her on accident). It would explain why Abraxus wasn't completely losing his shit at the moment.

Harlan nods "Sure thing, mate." he mumbles as he opens a darkness portal. Joyce wanders through, followed by Shadow and then Harlan.

Abraxus, still holding onto his sword, slowly walks over to Cedrick "I knew you couldn't be dead. I just had that feeling." he says in a low tone as he gets close.

Cedrick nods "Correction: I was dead. For sometime, actually. But...I found my way back." she explains, not mentioning her mother.

Abraxus tightens his grip "And why have you sought me out? To die again, by my hands once more?" he asks.

Cedrick shakes her head "That is not my intention, but if it will calm the rage in your heart, then you may strike when ready." she says in an even tone.

Abraxus sighs, shaking his head "I had killed you once before. In Raccoon city. They even have a monument built to show that you fell there." he says as he puts his sword away "No. Killing you the first time gave me no sense of fulfillment or satisfaction, like I thought it would." he says.

Cedrick nods slowly "Oddly enough, I know what you mean..." she says in a low tone.

Abraxus shakes his head "I seriously doubt it. If anything, I felt pity for you. That you needed help, but it was too late..." he eyes her "Why are you here? Why help me in that fight?" he asks.

Cedrick looks him in the eye "Because I have come seeking the impossible. I have come to seek your forgiveness for all the wrong I have caused you." she says.

Torin didn't say anything when they went back to their base, he had things on his mind. "I'll be in my room if anyone needs me." He said and left, we'll for now anyway.
