Just Us

It was strange how quickly time flew by when it came to day to day. Chrissy's sixteenth birthday was here today and that meant far as Noreal was concerned she was a adult. For the most part. There were still a few things she wouldn't be able to do, such as getting a weapon or drinking. It wasn't a big deal to her race in general, but Chrissy had been looking forward to it and here it was in fact a big deal.

Moveim town was also getting something new built that was possibly going to make their quite town much more lively. Since the space program was kicking up, they thought to expand a bit. That meant more facilities and such on the ground. It wouldn't just be sending people to space but other duties related. Vertex Industries was helping leading the way on that front and others were stumbling to keep up with this new frontier.

Barioth wondered if it be something Chrissy would be interested in, even if she had no interest in the stars or leaving anytime soon she could maybe get a job on the expanding field. He'd have to ask to see what the young woman wanted to do. It may of been her big day turning into a beautiful young woman and school would be coming to a close, but she had more then enough time to figure things out. You didn't instantly figure everything out at that age.

In the mean time, he was waiting for them to get out of school to take them home. Technically, it was in walking distance but a long walk he just wanted to see how her day was as well as talk to them. If she was with her school friends, he'd offer them a ride to unless she opted to walk to spend time with her friends. There was a lot of people in uniform out and about, but Chrissy wouldn't be hard to miss and her end her eyesight was better then everyone else here.

Chrissy was out and about. She was by herself and was actually thinking about flying home really quickly to get changed. Some of her friends wanted to take her out to party, since she was legally am 'adult' now. She still didn't understand why everyone was in such a hurry to be an adult. On Elysium, you weren't an adult until your DoA (Day of Ascension). After all, it wasn't everyday a young lady turned a thousand. She was Really looking forward to that day.

Barioth was patiently waiting for the young woman before she exited out of the gates. He smiled when he saw them, approaching. "Just the young woman I wanted to see. How's your day been treating you?" Work had been relatively slow on his end so there wasn't too much to talk about besides a few things here and there.

Chrissy shrugs as she wanders over to Barioth "Alright, I suppose." she says "I was just going to fly back home and get changed." she tells him "Some of my friends want to go hang out for my birthday." she says.

Barioth would be slightly disapointed but only slightly if she decided to go with her friends because he knew Chrissy more then likely was going to spend the day with her friends doing something. Chrissy was a relatively popular student at the school so all things considered it wasn't too much of a surprise.

"I'll fly back with you then. Have you decided if you're going to go with them?" Luckily he didn't need to fully transform just to use his wings or he'd be off in a worse way since many places were too small for him to change.

Chrissy nods "Yeah. That's why I'm going home to change. I don't want to be the lame girl who shows up to her own party still in her school uniform." she says as she spreads her, now impressive wings and jumps high into the air, letting the air catch them and pull her higher into the air.

Barioth took after the young woman after she took flight, it was different then the other ones they used to take together back when she was younger. He definitely didn't mind taking flight in this form, but he did from time to time like going more rural places so he could fly in his Draner form.

He took flight by her side, getting a good drift going. "So Vertex Industries is doing more things related to our space program with it ramping up. Would that be something you would be interested in even if not leaving off world?"

It was a short flight back to their home and Chrissy lands lightly and shakes her head "No. I have no interest in space travel." she says as she heads in "If the Terrible and Mighty Galford wanted us to travel through space, he would have gifted us the ability to survive in space and move faster than light." she says as she heads to her room.

About ten minuets later, she comes out in a cute, blue sundress that shows off a bit too much leg and a little cleavage too, showing that she wasn't a little girl anymore "Okay, I'm off. I'll see you later tonight." she says as she grabs her purse and heads on off.

Barioth hadn't meant for them to directly travel to space, rather just some ground work. Judging by her answer she probably wouldn't be too interested in that line of work either.  Which was just as well since she had more then enough time then anyone for things she wanted to do. She may end up doing multiple things through out her long life.

When Chrissy came down in the cute dress, it was hard not to notice the change. They had grown quite the figure with long legs and large, round perky breast. "Later."

He wasn't sure what all was going through his head at the moment besides a few conflicting thoughts about his new found attraction to Chrissy. A shower along with some other work he had putting off seemed like the move.

Meanwhile a young woman was waiting at her home for Chrissy to show up as they were getting dressed for the party that was to come and she was excited!

Mostly. There was some slight aprenhsion from Dacia if they ended up in a more public setting since there be 'those won't be named' potentially there or those who got on her nerves. But she wouldn't let others dictate where she should go.

It wasn't as bad as Jaala since the young Draner was naturally a lot more shy then either of her friends.

"You're going to turn heads when you get there, so don't worry about anything else. Got it?" Dacia said, as she put on the last finishing touches on her grey dress.

"I know. Still nervous, parties aren't..really my thing.." Jaala replied as she looked over in the mirror of the bedroom.

"Besides.." Dacia patted her on the shoulder. "If it turns out to be a bust, the three of us can do something else. Chrissy never really been one to let popurality get to her head." Otherwise some of the full of themselves jerks would won Chrissy over as their girlfriend.

Chrissy didn't have a boyfriend and not for the lack of people interested. After all, who Wouldn't want a hottie like her, who was good at everything she tried, as a girlfriend? No, she just wasn't interested in getting a boyfriend at this point in her life.

So, without further fanfare, she wanders over to her friends house and hits the door chime. This was, actually, the first party she had ever gone to and she was both nervous and excited at the same time, but she was hiding it fairly well, thanks to some training from Barioth. He wanted to make Sure she could take care of herself out there.

It wasn't too long before the door opened before Dacia opened the door and smiled.  Jaala was just behind the red-haired young woman. "We'll speak of the person. Hey there come on in, we were just getting finished up so we can head out. You excited for our little get together?"

Truthfully Dacia was about things. Sure she had been to parties before being on the more extroverted side of things but she was going with Chrissy and Jaala so that made things more interesting then the times she went by herself just to crash the party and have a good time.

Barioth decided to spend some time in 'Good Fellow' as it was called. It was a more high quality bar that was owned by a friend of his. He didn't go there to get drunk, pretty much no one did it was more the social aspect as well as potentially from time to time he'd find some interesting information of something he hadn't known about. Not just anyone could get in, which helped keep the quality of the atmosphere up which he appreciated.

It wasn't too crowded inside around this time and he saw some of the regulars and plenty of people he didn't know which was to be expected. There was a song being sung in the background by someone on stage. A young woman was behind the bar skillfully mixing drinks and talking with some of the patrons.

They looked up, smiling at Barioth. "You haven't came in a bit so have a seat. You want your usual?"

"Just the usual Eldia. Just been busy with things." Barioth went to have a seat.  "Anything happen as of late?"

They shook their head, starting to get a few things in order to start mixing. "No. At least nothing in my personal life. I was thinking of visiting earth but I don't know. Are people as crazy there as some think?

"It has its issues just like here, but its not like a constant warzone or anything." Barioth said after a moment. "Honestly? If you look at our history we aren't too different. Far as fighting among each other and such, some races aren't around anymore and others got pushed to the brink. Only difference is we mellowed out more compared to them; they at where we used to be."

"That's fair." Eldia sled over his drink having done mixing it. "For some reason everyone and their mother seems to want to go there or so I heard about outsiders from other places so it couldn't be that bad. No one really pays attention to Noreal but that's not a bad thing."

"Bah.." A half drunken man on the other side of the table said. "The more it stays that way the better. We shouldn't have never gotten involved with earth in the first place. The public doesn't even know we exist and we didn't get as much as a head pat for sticking our neck out when those aliens attacked earth. Well, us little people anyway. Sure the cocksuckers on top got something out of it to give us crumbs later."

Lydia frowned slightly. "I admit not everyone on the council and such are my favorite but they are hardly all bad. We're probably hidden because they want to ease the population into things first. Besides, everyone who took part in defense came back to life didn't they?"

"The fact they have to do all that just proves my point. As for bringing back to life, Someone should of said that to my brother." Then he sighed. "Sorry, whatever. Just ignore me. Think I had too much to drink anyway..." They got up and left a tip on the counter before leaving.

Barioth knew everyone had their own inner demons and such, so he didn't pay it any mind. Lydia seen enough on the job so it was just another day. "So, how are things with you and Chrissy?"

Chrissy wanders on in and nods "Yeah. A little bit." she confessed. In truth, she was Very nervous. This was the first party she had been invited to and it was by a cute boy from her class and while she wasn't Currently looking for a boyfriend, didn't mean she couldn't scope out Potential boyfriends "Alright, ladies. Are we ready to own that party?" she asks her friends.

"You bet!" Dacia said with a grin, all three of them could fly so it did beat just walking it unless they were in a area where they couldn't fly which wasn't as common here. There was more places that understandbaly took more measures about Shadow Walking then anything, since a crazy person or criminals could take more advantage of it.

Dacia took a bit in the air but waited for the other two, Jaala had to take a moment to transform her wings. "How many people are going to be there?"

The Farian shrugged in response to her friends. "Don't know, but doesn't matter to me personally. But don't get me wrong, there are people potentially there I don't care to see but that's just part of the thing of more open parties like this."

Chrissy didn't want to fly to the party, as she was wearing a skirt and there are those who would delight in seeing her panties and she didn't feel like giving them the chance to get a glimpse of them. So they would walk or take a cab or public transport. Either way, it wasn't far for them to travel.

And soon, the three of them were standing infront of an impressive house. Chrissy didn't want to even think of how these people would react if they found out that their school idol lived in a humble house.

She looks to her friends "Alright. Remember, even though this is a party, there are still some boys in there we need to keep an eye out for. So let's try and keep each other in sight and whatever you do, do Not go upstairs." she didn't need to, but she reminded her friends anyway.

"R-right. I'll stick with you two." Jaala was still nervous as hell but part of her was still interested in seeing what the fuss was about.

"You'll be fine. You're gonna knock em dead." Dacia patted the nervous young woman on the back. "And don't worry. The bozo's will have to try better to pull anything over me. Also be careful on what you drink." She knew her friend was a Mystic and they were known for having a strong stomach, but they weren't invincible. If there were things that would get a Veeden drunk in a few minutes then they probably have some effect on Chrissy.

The party far as Dacia could see seemed to be in full swing, with the loud music in the background. Of course she could also see certain crowds hanging to themselves. Cliques were always gonna be a thing in a high school setting, but in a party? You were asking for it.

While most would have no issues with Chrissy being there of course, others that didn't like Chrissy like some of the popular girls had it out for them. It was annoying.

'I'm sooo going to be glad when High School is over soon.'

Jaala looked around, noticing the interesting food on the table but she was also mindful of what Dacia said as well as Chrissy in being careful what she took and try to stay in sight.

"I don't know man. This seems like a bad idea."

There were three young men in another one of the rooms by themselves. One of them seemed a bit nervous and unsure, but the other two at least seemed more sure of themselves.

"Stop being a pussy. If we play it smart, it'll work fine." The first young man said keeping his voice low with brown hair. "Just wait for Chrissy to get here, then manage to get this good stuff in her drink. Then when they have the signs, we can escort them up here to have our fun."


The other scratched his head. "Yeah, but like, Chrissy lives with Barioth and Dacia's older brother a former gang member or something before the two moved here? And she is popular so won't be easy."

The other frowned. "I ain't scared of Vakian. He's a washed up Vangaurd member who writes now. Probably not doing anything with all that.." One could taste the salt of Barioth just living with Chrissy. "And Dacia's brother? He's a baker. You can't tell the pretty boy was anything dangerous. Now relax and it'll be fine."

Chrissy pats Jaala on the head, as she usually does "You'll be fine, Jay. Just keep where we can see you and no one'll bother you." she says. The girl was so shy and timid. It was extremely cute. But that also made her more susceptible to people getting her to do things from peer pressure. But Darcia was in full bulldog mode and wasn't likely to let anyone mess with Jaala.

She looks to her friends "I'm gonna go and mingle. Jay, Cia, you two have fun out there." she says as she heads out. She decided to give her cute ass just a little wiggle when she walked, just to let tue guys know that they can't have her.

One of the winged women at the party was glaring a bit at the back of Chrissy's head, one Lenna was her name. She was one of more popular people at school that didn't like Chrissy so much.

"Look at that them strut around, thinks she's better then us." One of her friends grumbled.

"Eh, don't worry about. We got until we graduate then don't have to worry about this stuff anymore." Another said.

Around that time, a young red-haired man came to greet, his name was Brice and Chrissy and her friends would see them from time to time. He was friendly enough, he just more kept to themselves. "Hey Chrissy, glad you could make it. Parties not really my thing but I wanted to stop by for your big day. And get out of my shell, I guess."

Chrissy blinks in surprise "Oh! Um, hello Brice." she says, a little unsure how someone like Brice managed to get into this party "Thank you for the birthday wishes." she says "I still don't really understand why turning sixteen is still a big deal here. I mean, you're still in school after all. Can you really be considered an adult?" she says, throwing in a light chuckle to make it seem like a joke.

On that comment, Brice shrugged. "I guess it depends on your culutural context. If you think about it, why is any age a place decides to pick important? A lot of the time it feels like they just throw darts at a board since they have to pick at some point. I heard earth, its two more years but you can't drink, just like here but you can do stuff like join the army. Never made sense to me."

Then again, he supposed there were other things he didn't quite get. "Besides, in fairness this is our last year, or less then depending of school. Its more give some last minute life skills you can use in the real world, but if ya ask me more a parents thing, besides stuff like accounting and balancing I guess. Family sucks at that, but don't tell them. Anyway, you have any idea what you wanna do once you graduate soon?"

Chrissy shakes her head "No. I'm thinking of going to university. Not sure what I plan on majoring in though." she says "It was nice talking with you, Brice. I'm going to go enjoy the party, which is what you should do as well." she waves to him as she starts off again.

She had to wonder why the people in her class were so eger to graduate. After all, was highschool That bad? Why was everyone in such a hurry to grow up so fast?

Chrissy shakes her head as she decides to get something to drink and maybe something to nibble on. After all, it was a party.

While this was happening, the other students were doing their own thing but one of the boys, Darius, from before that were planning on drugging Chrissy was there. They had one of their people casually hang out with the others in wait, and while the plan Was just for Chrissy if there was collateral damage then it was fine. The important thing was to try to make sure she didn't leave home once she began to feel funny; easier said then done.

He made his way over, taking note their target did drink some the stuff but how well it worked or at all, they'd have to see. "Heya Chrissy, hope the party life treating you?"

Unknown to them, Dacia was indeed, watching from time to time since people that might been more pushy to her Draner friend were leaving them alone for the time being. Maybe she was being paranoid but she just did Not trust Darius or those around them. Or that bitch Reena. Growing up as she did with her brother, she liked to think her 'people radar' was pretty good, not perfect but good.

Barioth decided to call it a night after getting a slight buzz, he wasn't drunk and didn't think it was a good idea anyway. Unlike some people he wasn't always the same when he was drunk, he was always different. Sometimes he'd be depressed, thinking of fallen loved ones like some of his comrades on the job, or Clover. Other times he was surprisingly horny.

It seemed to be whatever he was surpressing at the time. His profession allowed him more control so he supposed it made sense whatever he kept locked away would poke out from time to time.

Maybe a bit more drinking and going to bed wouldn't hurt in the privacy of his home. Not like Chrissy was going to be back until much later anyway.

Chrissy shrugs "I don't really know. I just got here. But so far it seems to be a nice party." she says. Darius always had an 'uneasiness' about him and more then once Chrissy had caught him starring at her and while she didn't think he was dangerous or anything, she still felt uneasy around him. Though, she was in public, so she'd be fine.

Suddenly she feels someone hug her from behind and snuggle against her wings and she knew instantly who he was. It was her friend Mayga Adaeth, a Golden Draner who was often lazy and lethargic, but was obsessed with both Chrissy's wings (they're so soft...) and Barioth (he's so handsome...) "Hello Chrissy..." she says in a floaty voice.

Mayga suddenly hugging Chrissy almost made her drop her drink, however, the Mystic girl Did have to set her drink down to untangle herself from her friend "May, I thought we talked about you hugging me from behind and messing up my wings." she says.

"Oh, we did... you talked, I spaced out..." she says. Mayga knows she's an airhead and she embraces it. She looks to the young man standing next to Chrissy "Hello, Darius... how has your day been..?" she asks, still holding onto one of Chrissy's wings.

Darius knew about the young woman of course, she was attractive but too much of a ditz for him to ever have any interest in. No, his interest was in a certain very attractive Mystic. If Vakian wasn't going to do anything and she was currently in high demand with no interest at the moment, well he didn't mind cheating. Despite his bravado from before, he wasn't Completely dumb. He didn't want a confrontation with Dacia's brother or Barioth, but he needed his group not to lose nerve.

'Don't let them derail you.' The message came from his sister, Reena. 'She may seem like a dumb bitch half the time but don't completely underestimate her. And she is still a Draner. Stick to the plan, you can have your way with them and I can have my revenge.'

Despite this, Darius showed no signs of anything simply because he was so used to talking to his sister that way. He smiled, if forced at the young woman. "Its been all right. Just a few annoying things that have gotten in the way from it being perfect, but if not today then tomorrow can be better; night still young. How about you?"

Mayga was still holding onto Chrissy's wing "Oh... you know..." she says, leaving it at that.

Chrissy sighs "Well, you enjoy the party." she says to Darius as she moves away, Mayga following her. She was going to go to her friends for help getting May off.

Darius was annoyed of the interruption of the ditzy Draner coming in and ruining what he and his sister had planned. This made things much more complicated of trying to get the young woman drugged like they had in mind.

As for Chrissy's friends, Dacia was there chilling with Jaala who was a bit more relaxed and comfortable at this point. Not to the point of being a super social animal, but her anxiety was down a lot.

"-Just have to remember you're a beautiful young woman inside and out, and a lot of these other things don't matter in the grand scheme of things." Dacia stopped mid pep talk to Jaala to see Chrissy coming along with someone still holding her wings.

Surprisingly, or not surprisingly depending how well you knew the young woman, Jaala acted first. She went over and gently placed a hand on Mayga's arm. "Could you please let Chrissy's wings go Mayga? She worked really hard to have the look nice for the party." If that didn't work, she'd do the forbidden sad puppy eye look to lower their defenses.
