Meeting

It took some doing but leaders of Noreal had agreed to lend their assitance if it should be needed. However, they weren't allies out in the open just yet and they needed to ask permission before operating on earth. So to that end they needed to send someone to represent and Espen was the perfect person to do it. He had decided he would talk to the people at Hunter HQ since they acted as the intermeditaties between the governments, and non humans in particularly those of other worlds.

Sure he hadn't had the best history but Espen could admit when he was wrong about some things, and it was about time to bury the hatchet as it were.

There were, of course, guards at the front gate. Since the Hunters went public, they got their own official building with a front gate and guards and everything. It looked almost like a county jail from America.

The guard stops Espen's car to talk with the driver and peeking in the back a bit to confirm, he waves the car on past. After all, Espen was an important figure to the Inhuman community and, apparently, on Noreal as well.

After the car stops, there was a few Hunters waiting to escort Espen to see someone. Which just so happened to be Julius Belmont and standing by his side, going over some reports, was the Hunter Abraxus Abraham.

Julius looks up "Espen Goldsmith, this is an unexpected surprise. Sit. What can we do for you and your people?" he asks.

Espen nodded a bit. "I have felt its about time to start putting the past behind us, which means working together and getting to know the men and women who work here. However, I'm afraid the more dire reason I came us because of some disturbing news I heard from my good friend Alister."

He then proceeded to explain. "..That's the crux of it, I'm not sure if your group has heard already about it. After a lot of discussing, it was decided Noreal would help but only if we're allowed to as weren't even out in the open like the Mystics are."

Both Julius and Abraxus were straight faced "And your information is one Hundred percent reliable?" he asks.

Abraxus gathers his report "I'll send word to the other leaders and inform them about this." he says as he heads out.

Hunter policy, if there is even a One percent chance that there's a threat, especially one of this magnitude, they treat it as an absolute certainy and mobilise their forces for battle at a Moment's notice!

"I am completely positive. That's why I had informed my people along with Trienna to convince them to help should earth and her people need it." Espen said after the young man left. "Though I certainly wished it wasn't the case."

Julius frowns "Wait, so that meteor that hit almost two weeks ago was one of them, wasn't it?" he asks as he stands "Which means that-"

He was cut off by Abraxus barging in "Sorry to interrupt, but toy need to see this..." he says as he turns on the TV.

It was the Arch Bishop, Alister Graves. He was holding a press conference "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for showing up. My name is Alister Graves, I am the current Arch Bishop of the Mystic people." he starts.

"Before we get started, I would like to say that I will Not be answering any questions, nor will my office release any statements at this time." he continues.

"After talking it over with the various governing bodies of my world, we have decided to recall All Mystic citizens and until further notice our borders will be closed." he made no attempt to hide the contempt in his voice as he speaks.

"We will be closing our borders within one week from now. We are relaying the same message in Elysium as well, to give non citizens a chance to get back to their loved ones." he says.

"However, of they are still in Elysium by the time we close our borders, than they will have to remain there until we open them back up. Rest assured, they will be treated as our guests and given every courtesy." he says, more to try and comfort himself, it would seem.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank tou for coming. That is all I have to say." he aays as he steps on down and the crowd of journalists erupt in rapid fire questions!

Abraxus turns off the TV "So the Mystics are pulling out, huh? I honestly can say that I'm surprised by that." he mumbles.

Abraxus shakes his head "And that's not all..." he punches up a satellite feed, which shows an object moving closer to Earth, but keeping cautiously away at the same time.

This gets another, more serious, frown from Julius "Do you think this is them sending another scouting party?" he asks.

Espen felt sympathy for his friend, he was in a no win situation politically in a way. Even if there was more harder proof of what was going on, saying that And closing themselves off in earth's time of need wasn't a good look. However, if it was just for unknown reasons then while shaky it wouldn't look as bad politically.

Before he could say anything, he saw the feed and frowned. "..While I'm not quite the expert some are, I don't think so. It seems far too obvious. That said I am unsure who they are, I should contact Calvine Mort to see if he knows since that's his area."

Julius shakes his head "You are, of course, free to do what you wish. We have our own ways of confirming things." he says as he nods to Abraxus, who pulls out his phone and calls someone as he wanders out.

"If it turns out to be nothing, that's find. But right now, we have bigger issues than some ufo." he says "What if the Inhuman community, more specifically the rouge faction we've been dealing with, tries to take advantage of this situation and attack during all this chaos of invasion nonsense?" he asks.

Espen was silent for a bit after that thinking on things. "I heard a bit about it but not as much since I've been juggling so many things at once. I suppose perhaps some of Noreal can help with that possibility since I don't think every government is taking the upcoming threat as seriously. What do you know so far?"

He was sure the united stats was taking things seriously, so Noreal leaders would have to ask permission if they could assist there, he wasn't sure about the current Prime Minster of Japan. Though most Mystics were were leaving, some may be staying. His concern would be Tobias, Ameila and their daughter for one. Something to see about when he hit back New York.

Julius shakes his head "I can't say about the readiness of the other nations, because this was the first I heard of this invasion." he picks up his phone "But you can be sure that they'll see this as a serious threat now." he says as he dials a few numbers, signling that their meeting is over.

Espen bid a farewell before leaving out of his office to leave, he was planning on heading back to New York soon after making sure everything here was taken care, which honestly wasn't too much after the Hunter business. Luckily it wasn't like he didn't have a place to stay considering how much time he spent here.

He finally addressed Rosa who had been silent. "When Alister asked all Mystics to return, does that mean you'll have to be leaving as well?"

The reason why Rosa was silent, was because she was waiting out of the office. She shakes her head "No. Despite what the Circle says or commands, the Elite Guards are under the Direct command of the Arch Bishop and answer to no one else." she explains "So unless Alister, I mean my Lord Arch Bishop, says so, I will remain at my post." she says

Espen figured that was the case, either way he was grateful for it when time came. "I see. I'm glad that's the case. In any case I think for now we have done what we needed to do so we should head back to New York."

Rosa nods "As you wish." she says as she walks over to Espen, places a hand on his shoulder and in typical Mystic fashion, the two of them disappear.
