Down Time?

Smoke shakes his head "They've known who was responsible this whole time and they were never blaming you for the death of the prince." he says.

He looks over to Vira "They accused you of being the reason the prince died and to them, that's just as bad as killing the prince yourself." he points out. On the mirror, where he would have been standing, wasn't him. It was some kind of Shadowy Demon!

Vira frowned a bit, that was all? Still maybe if Kiro hadn't met her he would probably still be alive..

"That still doesn't explain how it would be safe.." She trailed off and took a step back at the mirrior. "W-what is that?"

Smoke turns and sees the shadowy monster where His reflection should be "Ah...I suppose that does warrant an explanation. But not now. Suffice to say, that's my true form. That's what these mirrors are suppose to show, right?" he asks.

He then looks back to the entrance "I would strongly recommend you turn back. The vision you will no doubt see at the end of this cave will be very distressing for you." he says, then he turns into smoke and drifts away "When you need me most, is when I shall return..." he says, then was gone.

"Are you all right?"

It was Hiromi who had came into the room a bit after smoke had left, the mirrors showing her giant Dog Demon form. Though, it was funny since in a sense both forms were real as the next.

"Yeah..I'm fine. Let's just go home." Vira still had a million questions to smoke, she had no idea who he worked for or why he had been helping her in the first place.

The lady at the front desk wished them a good day and the guard, Smiley, was waiting to escort them where they wanted to go next "So, ladies, where are we off to next?" he asks.

Vira had a lot on her mind, but there was more thing. "If its not too much trouble, the Opera House please."

Smiley nods "Right this way." he says as he summons an airboat and "So, how was your trip through the Hall of the Crystal Mirrors?" he asks as they take off.

"It was fine." Vira didn't elaborate further, she was still thinking.

"Honestly, I was expecting..something to happen. Not sure what. I suppose if any of the stories had any truth to them but I never saw anything unusual." Hiromi shrugged.

Smiley chuckles "I know, right? I've been there hundreds of times and not Once have I seen any spooky stuff happen." he says "I think it's all just nonsense made up to attract business for the place."

"It's probably just a legend. Someone saw or thought they saw something and it got passed down. That's how many things start but there's usually some truth to them." Hiromi reasoned.

Vira wondered what the supposed vision was, it was best to avoid it if it would upset her but there was a nagging morbid curiousity. She guess she'd never know and it was probably for the best.

They finally got to the Opera House. It was  in use at the moment. There was a rehearsal going on. From the sound of it, it was a comedy. Though, much like their music, their comedy needed some work as well. Though Smiley seemed to be enjoying it.

Hiromi quitely listened in the mean time while Vira just sat down and zoned out a bit and rested her head on her knee's as she sat. She didn't mind just sitting down and listening.

The rehearsal went on for about an hour more before they wrapped it up. Since Mystic's have total recall memories, they didn't need to practice their lines, rather how to deliver those lines.

Once they were done, the manager comes walking down to Vira, Hiromi and Smiley "So, my young audience. What did you think?" he asks.

Smiley gets up "That was a brilliant performance, Mister Stone. I see another hit comedy for you." he says, shaking the older Mystic's hand.

Mister Stone chuckles "Yes, well. When you get as old as I am my boy, you tend to pick up on what tickles people and as long as they keep laughing, I'll keep trying to make them laugh even more." he says.

Then he looks to Vira and Hiromi "So tell me ladies, what did you think of Mystic humor? I've heard it's a lot like British humor from Earth, a bit on the dry side. But that's what I aim to fix."

Vira smiled a bit. "It was good. I couldn't really tell humor for the life of me, but I apperciate anyone who can. It's a gift of its own because not everyone can do it."

"There's nothing wrong with that style of humor. Just make sure there's different kinds since humor between cultures and inviduals varies a lot." Hiromi said.

Mister Stone chuckles again "True, so true. Not everyone's cut out to be an entertainer." he says as he looks over to Vira "Though I do recall seeing you on some old concert posters. You're a singer, if I recall correctly." he says "Your songs are very popular among my people." he points out.

Vira blushed a bit. "Thank you. I haven't done any serious singing in a long time though."

Mister Stone chuckles again "Oh, that's a real shame. Singing, unlike comedy, can reach the hearts and souls of many different people. A single song has the power to make a person happy, or sad or recall a fond memory or a painful one." he says "The gift of music, is a truly wonderful one that moves everyone differently."

That was something he and Vira agreed on. "I completely agree. It was my mother who got me into singing, she's very good at it too. I had wished she hadn't given it up. Perhaps..I'll sing here."

Mister Stone nods "I think I would like that. Well ladies, the stage is all yours. Try not to break it and have a good night." he says as he bows out.

Hiromi stayed out of it, she could sing but it was more of Vira's thing for the most part. The Nosferartu was slightly nervous after being out of work for so long, but once she started she really got into it. She wanted to sing a song for those who had ever lost anyone for the people in general and dedicated in memory to her prince.

Vira's voice echoed through out the cavernous, empty room. Smiley was busy with his own thing at the moment, waiting for them to finish up with what they were doing. He was thinking it was almost time for something to eat. It was, after all, getting close to his quitting time.

Vira and Hiromi came back eventually, both decided they were done and were just going to retire for the night.

Smiley made sure they both got home safely before he called it a night himself and returned to the station house.

Vira and Hiromi both went to bed when they got there, it had been something of a long day. Nikki had something she was going to ask Alister the next time they got the chance to talk.

However, since Alister hadn't said anything Hiromi could conclude nothing had changed as far as the Circle went.

There was a knock on the front door "Miss Vira Nakeen. Your presents has been requested at the Grand Hall." says a royal guard on the otherside of the door.
