Dawn of the First Day!

Espen thought for a moment. "I would like to check on Vira and her family. I also need to talk to my other bodyguard Hiromi to ask if she'll be leaving with me tomorrow or be staying a bit longer. Heavens know that woman deserves a break."

Rosa nods "I shall make all the necessary arrangements for your trip." she says with a curtsey, then scuttles on off.

Espen said his thanks before he headed to his room, since there was no telling how long that would take(or if she would have other things as well).

..Actually come to think of it, where had Jennifer gotten off too?

It actually didn't take Rosa very long to make all the arrangements for Espen to take his trip. She knocks on his door before cracking it open and peeking in "Young master? Your transport is ready and awaiting." she says.

Espen put away the book he was glancing at as he went to meet Rosa. "All right, lead the way then."

Rosa leads Espen to the main hall, where Jennifer was waiting for him "We have an airboat ready and waiting to take you to where ever you would like to go." she says as she escorts him out "So, how did the meeting with the Lord Arch Bishop go? Is he willing to help against the Hunters?" she asks.

"Not overtly at the time, but he is gathering information. Alister believes they're up to something and when he finds something he'll let me know." Espen ran a hand through his hair. "I still don't understand the logic of blaming an Entire race of people for the actions of one mad man and delcaring war. It's madness."

"Agreed. The problem is, the Hunters don't believe that it was that bastard Amadeus and since we have no Real proof to show that it Was Amadeus, well, you can see the problem." Jennifer says with a sigh.

"Still, from everything we've learned about the Hunters, if it all goes sideways, they don't really pose too much of a threat. Not to a squad of Elite Guards, anyway...or normal ones..." she mumbles.

Looking at Espen "Honestly, how is it that they're so feared by most nonhumans on Earth?" she asks.

"You have to remember, nonhumans of any Real power aren't the norm there." Espen pointed out. "You have outliers and other such things, but for the most part said nonhumans have some powers but its not to the point a Hunter with their own gifts couldn't deal with. Hiromi's people for example even in their drastically weakened state are too much for most. What's left of them anyway.."

Then Espen face palmed. "..How could I forget.." He mumbled. "That was something I wanted to talk to Alister about. You see, the small gathered clan Hiromi knows plans on moving somewhere out of earth since they feel their time there is over. About..all eighteen of them so not too much. It doesn't have to be here of course but somewhere else."

Jennifer pats Espen on the arm "Not to worry. It's not like the Lord Arch Bishop is going to vanish in the time it'll take you to visit with your friends and Hiromi." she points out "I'm sure it'll be no trouble seeing him when we get back." she says, reassuringly.

"True enough." Espen admitted. "I don't think I say this enough, but really I thank you for being there for me. Not just as a bodyguard, but as a friend."

Jennifer nods "Not a problem." she says.

It doesn't take them very long to reach Vira's place, since there were no passenger stops. Jennifer thanked the driver and asked if he could wait.

Hiromi was the one to open the door after Espen knocked, she smiled at the two and moved to let them come inside. "I was wondering when you two would come back. How have you been enjoying things in your place?"

"It's different but I enjoy it. On a unrelated note, I was wondering if you would be returning with us when we left or staying a bit longer?" Espen asked.

"I..think I'll be staying with Vira and the others for a bit longer. It's been a while since I relaxed and its peaceful here." Hiromi answered after a moment.

Jennifer nods with a smile to Hiromi "It's good to see you as well. I was going to come over here sooner or later, because I am to extend an invitation to you, Hiromi and the Nakeen family for a celebration in honor of the Lord Arch Bishop's guests." she says "Formal formal attire is required." she says.

"Espen, if I may steal Hiromi for a moment of her time." Jennifer says as she motions for Hiromi to follow her.

Hiromi was confused of what Jennifer wanted to talk about but never the less followed.

Jennifer leads Hiromi away "Okay, I have some bad news and some good news..." she starts "Some of the male guards heard about how strong Dog Demons are suppose to be, even now a days, and they would like to battle against one to test their own skill and power..." she explains "And word has gotten around that You are one of these Dog Demons they want to battle so badly." she says "That's the bad news."

"The Good news, is that they won't do anything until they have the 'Okay' from their Captain and the Captains answer to the Colonels, who answer to the Generals, who answer to the Arch Bishop." she explains "So, unless they decide to take matters into their own hands or issue a formal challenge, you shouldn't have to worry." she says "But even still, if you want, I can have a word with some of the higher ups." she offers.

Hiromi nodded a bit. "I would appreciate it. I honestly want to take a break from fighting while I'm here. I guess my ears Do make it rather obvious." She chuckled. "That aside, how will we get more formal attire? My clothes aren't plain but they aren't for that kind of occassion." Vira and her family would love to come she was sure; they were just in their rooms which is why Hiromi had been the only one seen at first.

Jennifer nods "Consider it done. I'll have a word with the Captain and things'll fall into line there." she says, patting her friend on the arm "Also, when you can, bring Vira and her family to the Grand Hall and you all will get fitted for gowns. But don't come too late." she cautions "The celebtation is tomorrow." she points out.

Hiromi didn't mind. "We could come now. It's not like we're doing anything of importance at the moment, and if I'm honest, I'm curious of some of the fashion of this place. As far as gowns go. That and the Grand Hall itself. We'll just have to see if they're up to it but I don't see why not."

Jennifer nods "As soon as Espen is finished here, and Vira and her family are ready, we can head back to the Grand Hall and get this matter settled." she moves close to Hiromi "Besides, I believe my Lord Arch Bishop is quite taken by Nikki." she says in a low tone.

Hiromi blinked a bit at that, slightly surprised. "Hm? What makes you say that?"

Jennifer smiles "As members of the female persuasion, we have a certain intuition when it comes to males and their fascination with lovely ladies." she says "For example, I've noticed how the Arch Bishop avoids eye contact of any kind when it comes to interactng with miss Nikki, as well as how he carries himself and his general attitude, when talking or, indeed, in her very presents." she points out.

Hiromi nodded a bit. "I see'. We'll I can't say its a bad thing, I've known Nikki for years. She hasn't dated or anything since her husband died. It may be good for her to get out."

There was a slight knock on the door, Espen's voice at the end. "When you're ready, we'll be out."

Jennifer nods to Espen "If it's not too much trouble, at the suggestion of Hiromi, might we escort the Nakeen family to the Grand Hall so they may be fitted for their gowns." she suggests.

"I think that's a good idea." Vira's voice cut in. "You want to come mom?"

Nikki nodded. "Of course. I can't let girls have all the fun now can I? Besides Kylie has been wanting to know what that place is like."

Espen nodded slightly to that. "Doesn't seem like they'll be much of any trouble on our end." He mused. "When you're ready, they'll be."

"I'm ready myself." Hiromi didn't really bring much of anything with her as is.
