Hako is a very kind and earnest individual but gets easily flustered when it comes to certain things but otherwise she's not really the shy type. She is more at ease around and interacting with people and doesn't do as well of very long spurts of being on her own.

History:

Hako's story at least to the start isn't anything too special. She lived a mostly normal life but learned some skills how to defend herself from her aunt as while she wasn't interested in being a warrior, just enough to defend herself if need be wouldn't have hurt.

Her grandmother introduced Jiro who had been abandoned and the two had been almost inseparable since then.  The young woman's only issue was when her ability began to appear and she began to see many terrifying and shocking sights. These terrifies her but her grandmother believed she had a gift that could potentially help people, but Hako never saw it as such: just a burden.

Some time before the present around the last year Hako along with the rest of her family met Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin during a mission. There had been someone trying to gather spiritually aware people to build enough power to summon something to this world, but Hako never figured out all the details since the information was withheld. After being rescued though, the Kozato family did end up befriending them.

Over time she got more used to this ability and though not all ghost scared her anymore, many of them, especially those that died more darker deaths tended still be scary in terms of looks and temperament. If it was such a gift, why couldn't she turn it off?

Still, it was something she would just have further get used to and make peace with, or hopefully find something or someone to help her with it. So with that in mind, she reluctantly decided to try that program for inhumans about their gifts in Hunter HQ since maybe then she could get a better handle of it.
