Travis while having his own beliefs he feels strongly about tries not to push it on others. He does firmly believe in mercy rather then retribution, at least when it can be helped. He overall is a gentle giant.

Special Techniques:

Divine Sense: If it has something to do with magic or the divine, he sense it. But he has to actively sense and look for it since its not passive.

Holy Ball: His only offensive move. A ball of silver energy, does moderate damage on impact.

Heal: By physical contact, Travis can heal. Naturally this drains on his own reserves and over use can be fatal if not careful depending on his reserves. He can't heal immediate fatal or near fatal wounds.

Holy Charge: Empower his weapons with his own energy to moderately increase the damage of them.

Defense Shield: When active besides creates a golden dome shield. When active he cannot attack or use other attacks. Since its fairly draining at this time he can only use for a bit.

History:

Travis comes from a interesting family. On his mother's side, they aren't known for being direct fighters but rather for their inventions, in particular they mix magic and alchemy alongside the mundane to make different things. They are somewhat famous for them and some have been used by various people in the past to the present; their later invention being the armor and shield Travis currently uses.

His father on the other hand is the one who used holy energies, along with the armor and shield though his was naturally different. Overall, he had a good childhood and upbringing and he wanted to follow in his father's foot steps who at first who encouraged him to pursue other avenues before he decided on that life. Eventually being persistent paid off, and he was trained.

There was another motive for his training and while he did want to help people and continue the tradition, Travis felt like restoring in his mind the family name to what it once was. On his father's side of things, his family originally came from a group called the 'Oath Bringers' which were founded sometime during the Crusader era, although some debate a more raw and crude form existed prior to that.

While not perfect they did do good but time, a changing world and internal politics tore them apart from within. The corruption killed them from the inside and the Oath Bringers scattered, some doing their own thing while others got absorbed into other groups. They became a twisted version of their past selves, somewhat similar to the Vampire Hunters. Travis' father doesn't have a relationship with most of the other known members of their family because of a falling out of beliefs and not being good people saw put to that.

The sins of the father isn't something he subscribes to or this case those before but there is part of him that wants to bring the legacy of something better and new.
