Personality:

Aika is a complex and at times contradicting ball of personality traits as a person. More or less both a product of past events and her illness. She has darker thoughts but she thankfully rarely acts on them impulsively even if thinking about them for stretches of time. Aika is patient and stubborn with things she wants and intelligent enough not to act as rashly. Part of a defense mechanism is pushing people away if she feels they're getting too close emotionally, which is another thing she is trying to work on.

She can be described as a yandere in the sense she can be surprisingly sweet and pleasant to be around but there is a darkness and rage she struggles with. She has some triggers that will set that off, but due to this and her past in her more lucid moments she struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts; she feels part of her forever broken.

History:

Aika's story starts off relatively normal as she had a loving family and for a time things were good however like with most good things, that one day came to an end. Her parents died in a plane crash leaving her alone and having to live with her uncle and aunt, the former who was a successful businessman and the other a stay at home mother but had no children of their own as she was unable to.

It seemed the happy story would continue, but that wasn't really the case.

As she was home schooled her aunt locked her in the basement most of the time, and when she got older and a bit more notable, her aunt and uncle began to use them sexually for their own needs. Sometimes her uncle would invite friends who were more often then not higher up people in the business world with good track records which they would record some of their activities.

This continued for a bit, until one day both her aunt and uncle just vanished. There was no explanation of what happened to them or where they went; it was like they vanished off the face of the earth. The other people at the time who had abused her in that were still around, but nobody was going to believe her. This experienced left her a very damaged person who was angry at the world and her own weakness.

She landed a gig as a voice actress having a lot of raw talent for it and it worked also as a outlet.

There she could be anyone she wanted to be. She could be strong if just this once without being the terrified and helpless girl she was, even if it was just pretend and for that moment.

Aika struggled with her inner demons trying to find a place she fit in but felt like a bird that couldn't fly. Though one day she met a man who she was comfortable with and while she wouldn't love them since that word scared her perhaps she could try to be normal and even adopt. It didn't go as she wanted and much to her alarm much latter and realizing too late, it seemed like the grip her aunt and uncle had would never completely let her go. Even if she had hated them and swore she never be like them in any shape or form,  she may be a monster in her own right even if not as bad as them.

Their son, named Hiroshi was adopted as Aika both had difficultly having children and truthfully didn't want any because of her hang ups. It was mostly a up and down relationship with herself not sure how to really take up or react to them even if in public they seemed more sure of herself. As they got old enough she eventually began to develop some affection for them which lead to more mixed feelings. It did, also, however lead to some possessive and jealously as well but manifested in other ways.

Over time however, she began to realize just how much of her past baggage from the people she hated the most was messing with her and not something she could just blame on illness. This made Aika wanting to take some other direction in her life to take the other plunge to get better if she even could.

After divorcing her husband and getting her things in order, she set off to find herself again so to speak.
