Catherine

Catherine Chandler didn't have a very good life. At an early age she knew she was different, which caused others to treat her like a freak. Still, she found happiness and even managed to have a child. Being a mother was the best thing she could have ever hoped for, but all too soon, she lost her husband and her daughter.

But the Mighty Galford saw fit to grant her another chance at happiness as she was put in charge of a Human child, taking care of her until her big sister came back. And she was content. She soon found a kindship in a young man with a daughter as well and while things seemed to be going well at first, he suddenly disappeared and Catherine felt sad.

It wasn't long before the Torjan attacked and Catherine would do what she could to protect Kisa, the young girl she was looking after. However, she had seen this moment many times and knew that her fate did not extend past this invasion. Sure enough, while protecting Kisa and a few others, Catherine took a bad hit and couldn't shake it off.

She manages to protect the people who were counting on her, but she had lost too much blood in doing so. As she lay there, feeling her life ebb from her wound, Kisa was crying into her shoulder while a Human doctor tried to save her, but Catherine knew it was too late... She would be going to see her family again, she knew her daughter and husband were waiting for her, and with her last breath, she looks over to Kisa and whispers "be... good..." then closed her eyes and was still...
