Road trips

Finally, after much driving and other hassles Aron and Angel got where they needed to go, or rather one of the places they wanted to go. Angel seemed to want to a bit of everywhere at the moment which was fine with him. If Angel had some type of way to realm travel, he was pretty confident they'd be going there too.

If only he learned to teleport, but that wasn't the here nor there.

He stopped their ride before getting off(which was parked by another hotel) and waiting for Angel.

Angel shakes her head when Aron pulls into a hotel "Silly, we don't need to stay here. We can stay at my place tonight." she says with a smile as she points to the largest building in New York. The 'Black Tower' of Powers Inc. The building that has a castle on the top and home to David Powers, the most powerful, most influential, most richest man in the world! And Angel calls that her 'home', with a smile.

We'll, if that's what she wanted he wasn't complaining. It was still a surprise her father was David Powers of all people on top of being Dracula's daughter. So there was a story in there somewhere since Angel was far as he knew was half, unless her father was the vampire and her mother was human or visa versa.

They arrived before too long, and Aron was honestly pretty excited about it. This wasn't everyday after all.

Angel instructed Aron to park the RV in the privet garage. The security guard stopped them, but let them pass when he saw Angel. Angel was all Kinds of excited "I can't wait to see Mother and Daddy!" she says, clapping her hands "I wonder if Drake and Anna-Lee are home!" she asks herself, then looks over to Aron "I think it's best if Daddy doesn't see you. He's very protective of me and might decide to kill you, just because." she says with a smile.

Aron knew Angel didn't do it on purpose and it was just how she was, but sometimes at times like these he wondered if she actually cared about him at all.

But that was just silly. At least he told himself.

"If I go in, he might see me then." Aron said. "In that case what should I do?"

Angel wanders out of the RV "I'll go check and see who's home and let you know if it's safe." she says, still smiling as she heads over to the stairs and disappears inside.

She was gone for about ten minutes or so, then comes bouncing back, still smiling "It's all clear! Mother, Daddy, Drake, Anna-Lee and Dillon are out, from what the front desk guards told me." she informs Aron.

Aron nodded to that, but something he was curious about. "Who are Drake, Anna-Lee and Dilon?"

Angel looks over to Aron, blinking a few times with the look of 'I-can't-believe-you-you-don-know-this' on her face "Oh, well, Drake and Anna-Lee are my older sisters and Dillon is Daddy's chief of, uh, SE-CUR-IT-Y." she enunciates the words. "He's also Mothers personal guard." she says as she leads Aron to the elevator that would take them both to the castle perched atop the building.

Aron followed after Angel, he was really curious about having a castle on top of a building; he thought he had seen just about everything.

The elevator climbs the massive building in relative silence. The touch panel had the option for music, should those riding it care for some. They finally reach the top floor, but not the castle on the top of the building "We have to switch elevators now. Daddy didn't want one single elevator to cover the whole building all the way to his home." she explains.

Angel leads Aron to another elevator and pulls out a keycard and after she slides it, she punches in a security code on another touch pad "Which also doubles as a finger scanner!" she says with a smile as the elevator door slides open.

She wanders in "Welcome home, Angelica Powers." the elevator says.

Angel smiles at the control panel "Good evening! I have a friend coming along. Please allow him access for the entirety of our stay." she says as she motions for Aron to join her.

"Who made this?" Aron asked, referring to the elevator and the voice. For someone who had a interest in this sort of thing, this of course sparked a bit of intrigue.

Angel shrugs "I don't know. Daddy's castle was already here when I came to live with him and Mother." she says, still smiling.

"I was designed and built by a highly proficient team of skilled technicians from the Kingdom of Hyrule." the computer says "The deed holder, David Powers, is a very influential, very resourceful and very powerful man." the computer states.

Angel nods, still smiling "Daddy turns the computer on when the whole family leave out of town." she explains "If you wish, I can turn it off when we reach Daddy's castle." she offers.

Aron shook his head. "It's fine, I don't mind. I never heard of this Hyrule place before until now." He guessed it was another planet, or realm of some kind from the sounds of it anyway.

Angel nods "I've not heard of it until Daddy had mentioned it. Said he had business with some people from it." she says as the elevator stops as the castle.

The doors slide open "Please take care when exiting the elevator." the computer says.

Angels bounces out of the elevator and over to the main door. She pushes it open "Welcome to my second home." she says with a smile. It seems like she's in 'Happy Mode', because she hasn't stopped smiling ever since they got to New York.

Aron looked around a bit as he entered. "Home is where the heart is. I haven't been at my own home in a while, not as sure it would still feel as much as home anymore if that makes sense."

Angel blinks at Aron's words, then puts a hand to her chest "But I only have one heart and since it's still here, does that mean I'm not home?" she asks, then shakes her head "What an odd saying that is." she says "Normally, if you removes your heart, you die. Does that mean that even if you're dead, but your heart remains, it's still home?" she asks, confusing herself even more.

Aron shrugged a bit. "It's just one of many odd sayings we have; we have countless ones. As long as you don't take them too literally its usually fine."

Angel collects her thoughts, then shrugs "If you say so." she says cheerfully as she heads upstairs "I'll show you to the guest bedroom and give you a quick tour." she says with a smile.

Angel always seemed to be cheerful and in a good mood, most of the time anyway. Years from now, he wondered how her attitude would change about certain things. It was just musings on his end though.

Angel stops at a room, punches in a four digit number on the card reader "And here's the guest room." she says as she opens the door. It was nicely furnished. Bed, closet, a TV, another room off to the side "That's the bathroom. Daddy made sure each room had it's own bathroom." she says as she pulls out a keycard "And here you go. Your key." she says.

She closes the door and starts off, leading Aron around the castle "Here's the kitchen, incase you get hungry..." she keeps wandering "And over here's the common room, if you want to watch movies or play games..." she opens a pair of double doors "This is the library, if you want to read up on anything..." she leads Aron over to an open room "This is the gym. incase you feel the need to work out..." she heads to a door that had a medical plaque by the door "And lastly, this is the hospital, incase you get hurt." she finishes.

This was all pretty impressive to Aron. He had never been to anywhere like this but ever since spending a good chunk of his free time(read: all his time pretty much)he had been getting exposed to things like this more and more.

He took the keycard and put it into his pockets. "I'll probably be spending a lot of my time in the libary knowing me. Do you have a favorite place?"

Angel shrugs "I really don't have a favorite place." she says simply "To me, one castle or another, they're all the same if you've been living in them for all your life." she points out "I like to go to the highest point on a castle and look over all I can see. Though, normally, I can't go to where I'm looking at, because of the creatures in the castle will go wild if I'm away for too long." she mumbles, thinking of Castlevania and wondering if all was well there.

"But you have a fail safe so it should be fine." Aron said, trying to keep her mind at ease. "So let's just enjoy our time outside."

Then something clicks. "..But if you're still worried, maybe we could visit this Lee and Dino place? Apparently they make all sorts of exotic and strange things so wouldn't hurt to try and money wouldn't be a issue."

Angel shakes her head "No. Lee and Dino are very busy and are often away from their shop in this dimension." she says "But I Might join that, uh, Sub, um, Sub-thing they made." she says, referring to Lee and Dino's Universal Subspace Storage and Retrieval network.

"It would be nice to get anything I wanted, whenever I wanted it." she says as she looks herself over "But for now, I'm going to shower and change into something else. This cape's getting a bit heavy." she says with a smile, as she waves to Aron and heads to her room.

"See you later." Aron watched her leave before heading into his own room to get better view of things. It was nice to have have a view like this from the window and everything else.

Other then that, he was starting to wonder a bit about his future and what he do with it. He was still young though by both human and his race standards so he had more then enough time. He Did like science and helping people so maybe something like that could done with it.
