With the Times

Post by namey on Wed Mar 05, 2014 8:25 pm

It had been three weeks since King Goro had found his sons. Three weeks since Prince Kiro had died. Three weeks since the Shokan had declared war with the Mystics and three weeks since Vira Nakeen was put to death for her crimes. Goro was sitting in his state room at the embassy, looking over reports. Though the Mystics were more powerful then the Shokan, they were not technologically superior. Which gave the Shokan a leg up in this fight. For now, it was just an information war at the moment.

Goro sighs deeply as he looks over the reports again. Things were going to get nasty soon and very shortly this fight would be out of either his or the Arch Bishop's hands to stop. But logically, what the Mystics told him didn't make sense. They had their Best and Strongest guards watching over the portal to their home world, but the most powerful Mystic, an Outcast named Amadeus Mortrum, manages to get past said guards.

Goro smelled a cover up of somekind, but without more information, he couldn't make a decision either way. Call off the war or pursue it. In the end, Goro knew things were getting out of hand and he felt that this was what someone wanted. But why, he didn't know. He looks out the window, it was raining. Again. It didn't seem to stop raining lately, as if the Gods themselves were weeping for Kiro.

Goro stands, flexing all four of his arms before hitting a button on the com "Ceil-Li, see if you could contact the Arch Bishop and set up a formal meeting." he says "I would like to have words with him about the recent dealings with his people." he says.

There was a pause then a voice chirps over the com "Yes, your majesty. Shall I add it to your agenda?" she asks "That's fine, Ceil-Li." he says. He wanted to put this to rest as soon as he could, but he felt that something was going to happen that would push them to war with the Mystics.

It was a few days later and the rain had let up some, but it was still coming down. Goro had got his meeting with Arch Bishop Alister. It was later this day and Alister was still in his home dimension. Still, this would be the first time either of them had met. Goro wanted to send the right message and would he in full regal garb.

It was a hassle, but he needed to present the right image for the Shokan people. He was at the royal tailors, getting fitted for his attire, while his advisor was going over the details of the meeting with him. Goro wanted the guards doubled for the meeting, there was even talk about the mayor of New York assigning a police escort for the two of them.

Goro knew what it Really was. The city mayor just wanted to be apart of this major event. Get good press, as it were. Goro didn't like the idea of Humans trying to do the job of highly trained Shokan warriors, but he wouldn't turn down the extra security. Besides, if this went wrong, then it would give the Humans a reason to get involved, so Goro would go along with it. He would have to talk with his warriors, but it shouldn't be a problem. Better safe then sorry, as the Humans say.
