Little Things

Emanulle felt a bit bad for leaving with Jack and his super hero thing but his daughter came first and after thinking about things he thought it would be far too much risk. It would not only put her in danger but his other family members as well. That was why, in the end, he decided it really wasn't worth the risk and danger and bowed out for now.

It had been three weeks since he heard anything about Christine, he had no idea where she was or how she was doing. She could take care of herself but it didn't stop him from worrying; just because they had a fight didn't mean he'd stop caring about her well being.

Michru got depressed after about the second week due to Christine's absence but there wasn't much he could do about it for now. While they were park in the afternoon, Emanulle crouched down.

"Michru, sometimes us adults despite being smarter in some ways can do stupid things and blow out of poportion. Whatever happens between me and Christine has Nothing to do with you? Understand?"

The little girl just nodded and he softly ruffled her hair. "Go ahead and have some fun with the other children, we'll get some ice cream after."

Michru said nothing, not that she could anyway and ran into the sand to play with the other children. There were people he knew as at least aquatiences through their own children around here so he wasn't that worried.

"

One of the parents from Michru's school, Tamaki Oda, comes walking over, kid in tow "Hey there, Manny!" he calls over "Go and have fun, Skittles." he says to his daughter as she wander off.

Turning to Manny "So, how are things?" he asks "Are you still working at the school?" he asks "You know, I can make a few calls and see about an opening at a construction site." he offers.

Construction? It wasn't something he really thought about getting into. "I'm all right with where I am now currently; I work a jewerly store with some friends but thank you. As for myself, going through a few personal things I don't feel like getting into I need to sort out, but other then that, not much to really say."

Takami nods "I hear ya." he says, looking over to his daughter, who was building a small castle "I still can't believe that my little girl's got special powers." he says with a smile "Her teacher says they're coming along slowly, but surely. That's fine by me. They don't need to grow up too quickly, right?" he chuckles "So how's Michru's studies going?" he asks.

"They're going all right, not too slow and not too fast. I really don't want her powers to overwhelm her so its a plus in my book."

He had seen it enough to know that power that overwhelmed you was never pretty; he had seen it enough.

"I was thinking of going on a vacation somewhere one of these days, though I'm not so sure as to where." He shrugged. "Something a bit less cliche for family then Disney Land though."

Tamaki nods "I'm sure you'll think of something." he says as a low rumble can be heard overhead as virtuoid transports fly on past at a good altitude.

Tamaki frowns "Ever since the government bought those blasted robots, they've been flying them all over the place. You'd think we were getting ready for a war or something." he grumbles.

His daughter looks up from what she was doing, runs over to her dad, grabs his arm "I'm starting to get hungry." she squeaks in a small voice "Can we get something to eat, daddy?" she smiles up at him.

Tamaki chuckles "Of course we can." he looks to Emanulle "Well, you have a good rest of the day and I'll see you at school." he says as he walks over to the U.S.S.R. zone, taps a few things on his phone and a subspace rift opens and thousands of small digital cubes rain down, forming a car in seconds.

War? Emanulle certainly hoped nothing like that was going to happen. It was always the same; no one truly 'won' in war as innoncent people on both sides were always caught in the middle that wanted nothing to do with things. The only people that often did profit from the miserable suffering known as war were those on the very top while they used young men and women as their cannon fodder.

Or those who provoked them for their own ends.

It was that reason among many he wanted to become a history teacher. A lot of people didn't learn from history in this realm he noticed but he wasn't entirely ready to give up on the people of earth; there was still plenty of good people here if one just looked.

Tamaki's car was a surprise but at the same time not. Earth was very strange with how its tech was all over the place.

He called Michru over so they could leave the park, then they'd get some ice cream before heading home. It had been a rather slow but peaceful day; and he preferred it that way.

Doctor Michael Albertson comes walking over to Emanulle "Excuse my intrusion, mister Santos..." he says "I just wanted to let you know that we'll be having ability assessments in a few days, to see if your daughter's abilities have progressed and how far." he explains "It's nothing to worry about and it's perfectly harmless. We just need to see if we have to step up her training in how to better control them, relax them or do nothing but continue." he finishes as he hands a small packet of papers to Emanulle "These are just standard forums to fill out. Nothing too special." he says.

Then looks down to Michru "Well hey there, kiddo." he says with a winning smile "Are you looking forward to going back to the school?" he asks.

Emanulle hadn't expected Michael or anyone from the school. Sometimes he would see him or Alia doing their own thing though off campus. "Please. Just call me Emanulle or just Manny, a lot of people have taken a liking to that for some reason. Mister makes me sound old or married. Though I guess I'm halfway there being a single parent."

Michru just smiled at the man and nodded. While she couldn't talk, she could express herself physically and was taking to learning sign. That and a notepad to scribble things down; she was very smart for her age.

"That aside, how have things been at the school for you? And you do you have any idea what's up with these machines going on about?"

Michael nods "School's fine. We should be opened again real soon now. I know a lot of the parents are looking forward to the help we provide their children when it comes to their abilities." he says.

Then he looks at the sky, as another transport flies off "They're machine call 'Vitruoids'. Giant unmanned robots the military had commissioned from a place called 'Lee and Dino's'." he explains "Apparently they're the same ones who made the U.S.S.R.. The Universal Subspace Storage and Retrieval system." he says, shaking his head slightly.

"If they're miltary, then its unsettling they're around. It means something is going on.." Emanulle trailed off. "That's literally the only reason they would be visible like this most likely."

Mike shrugs "That's one possibility, another is that, since they had just acquired them, they're transporting them to a safe testing ground." he suggests "From what I heard, this Lee and Dino's, will sell to most anyone who can afford their wears. Sounds very reckless to me." he mumbles.

Then he shakes his head "But I'll get on out of your way and head on out." he says with a wave "I'll see you two later." he says with a smile.

Emanulle agreed it was rather reckless, very dangerous actually. If they could build these, what else could they make? All it would take was someone with bad intentions and enough money to really start something bad.

It didn't much matter for now though.

"All right. Stay safe I'll talk to you later."

There wasn't really much of anything else to do, so he and Michru headed home to get some sleep at least for now.

It was around the next day that Emanulle found himself in the streets once more, thinking of paying Jack a visit while Michru spent some time with her aunt and other family before he came back.

On his way, however, he did notice a scene on the T.V. which was the very same one with Will. He didn't know if Jack was any place where he could see it, but if not he needed to know, so he started to call him on the cell if he would pick up.

Jack, indeed, picked up the phone "Osa-P jewelry. This is Jack, how can I help you today?" he asks in a casual tone.

"Jack, its me Emanulle. There's something going down with Will, check the news of what happened. I know you're going to rush off after you see, so I'm going to let you go with what you need to do."

He really hoped Will wasn't dead, that would hurt Jack and Christine both badly.

There was a pause on the line "One moment please..." the phone sounds like it was set down "oh darn..." a voice in the distance could be heard on the other line. The phone gets picked up "Christine's going to be really upset if she sees this. I wouldn't worry about Will. He's immortal. Sure he can still get stabbed, but he'll bounce back from it in no time." he says, sounding like he was smiling.

Emanulle was a bit relieved but he still had a nagging feeling. "I see. We'll, if what you say is true then I guess there's nothing. I'll be there in a few minutes, I'll catch you there."

After he hung up, he headed towards the jewerly place, he wanted to catch up just a bit and also see how things were going.(Manny is out I suppose)
