Moving On Up

Mistie had a long day of doing parallel missions and training. She was determined to reach Super Saiyan 2 before long and while there Were stronger Saiyans in the Time Patrol, Mistie wanted to be amongst them.

She was tired and a bit hungry. But first, she needed to file her after action report about her mission. After which, she would take a nice long shower, get something to eat, rest for a bit, then do some training. She also wanted some new moves as well. Her old ones were getting stale.

She looks out past the stars, as it was night time at the moment, and wondered, not for the first time, what Jason would think of this place, if he was still alive, or her mother and father, for that matter. She missed all three of them.

She smacks her cheeks *Come on, Mistie! Buck on up! Being depressed isn't like you at all!* she thinks as she tugs at her armor, then heads to the situation room, where patrol members filled out their paper work.

Paperwork and its related family was something both Cromwell siblings were intimately familiar with but disliked at the same time given their up bringing. Which they were doing at the moment after their own mission; thankfully it wasn't nearly as bad.

Karine spotted Mistie present while her brother was finishing up the rest of his portion of things but would be done shortly. "Evening Mistie. I trust everything went well?"

Mistie looks over to her fellow Patroller "Oh, hi there, Karine. Just finished up my after action report for my mission." she says as she takes her scouter off "Wendy called me to talk about something and I think I know what it might be." she says. She kinda knew why the siblings were here.

Karine found that part interesting, Wendy was usually a fairly busy woman though on the other hand Mistie had been her student once upon a time. Not to mention they were usually in charge of some of other going on's. "In that case, I wish you luck. Me and my brother had just finished a mission of our own. We haven't made as much progress as we felt we should have, though partly our fault."

Mistie shakes her head "Well, it's not about getting strong all at once, it's about moving at your own pace." she says as she holds up a triumphant, clenched, fist "You'll get there someday you just gotta believe in yourself!" she says, enthusiastically.

She looks at the time, then back to Karine "If you'll excuse me, I have to see Wendy now. But we'll talk later." she says as she heads out.

It wasn't hard to find her old mentor. She was standing by the Parallel Quest sign in desk "Mistie, thank you for seeing me on such short notice." she says.

The young hybrid nods "Not a problem. So, what's up?" she asks.

Wendy noda as she hands a data padd over to Mistie "It's time for evaluations and advancement tests and I would like your help with it this year." she says.

Mistie nods as she looks over the list "Bow? Are you sure? He's been on leave for a while now." she says.

Wendy nods "Yes. I feel the time is right for him to make his glorious come back." she says.

Mistie nods "Okay. I'll send out the summons to the others to meet us here." she says as she swipes down, which brings up a head's-up-display that only she could see.

After tapping a few buttons, she sends a summons to Ace, Bow, the Cromwell siblings, Lamp, The Namek, Reizo, and Yin. Asking them to all meet up at a certain time.

Karine and Ruvand found they were being summoned which both found a bit curious since they weren't expecting anything as of today. Karine had plans to visit Tamaki and Sheera far as her fellow rookies were concerned but it could wait as it wasn't going anywhere.

Already waiting, was Yin and Lamp, who was eating some candy, but what else was new for a Majin. There was no sign of Bow or The Namek. But Ace, ready to take on any mission.

Reizo decided to show up to see what was going on, as did the Cromwell siblings who also had no idea what they had been called for at the moment. It should be interesting at any rate.

Both Wendy and Mistie were waiting for them all to show up. It seemed like most were there already. With the exception of Bow and the Namek.

Mistie was gonna give them Five more minuets when someone blurs and appears before their very eyes. It was Bow! *When did he learn Instant Transmission?* she thinks, not feeling his energy very well *He must be hiding it for some reason...*

She looks over to everyone after she gets a message from the Namek, saying rhat he wouldn't be attending "Okay, first of all, I would like to thank everyone for coming, you no doubt are wondering why you're here." she starts.

"I'm pretty sure it's our advancement test, correct?" Ace asks.

Mistie nods "That's right and this year I'll be conducting it with Wendy as my supervisor." she says "It's gonna be a one-on-one with me and if you feel, at any rime, that you need help, just call to Wendy and she'll jump in." she explains.

Yin frowns "and, if the Enforcer Were to intervene, what? We fail the match and the test?" she asks.

Mistie shakes her head "No. This isn't a strictly 'pass or fail' test. You'll earn a grade for multiple different categories and those grades will be tallied up for an overall score and it's That score that'll determine what ranked missions you can then take." she explains.

Yin nods to that, Ace seemed unconvinced, and Lamp didn't care either way. Bow, for his part, was silent. Ace could tell there was something, different about him. He seemed more, focused, intense somehow.

Mistie looks over to everyone "I know you all are probably eager to get started, so I'll give you guys one hour to get your gear and items ready and we'll meet back here." she says.

Reizo was fine with that, though he did wonder what order they were suppose to go in for this test. Bow showing up was a surprise since he didn't think they would after what happened, but it seemed like they had cooled off from what had been bothering him. "All right, that sounds fair. See you soon."

He then addressed Bow. "Hey its good to see you again."

Bow looks over to Reizo "Hey there, little buddy!" he says, smacking him on the shoulder "I'm doing quite well." he says looking over to Ace "Hey sweet stuff. Long time no see."

Ace nods "Indeed. I figured we had seen the last of you when you stayed on Earth." she says, she sounded annoyed for some reason "There were some, incidents, where we could have used your help." she says, referring to the Time Breaker attack about a year ago.

"Yeah, true but you're here now so that's what's important." Reizo said but his help would of been nice. He didn't think they saw the last of the Time Breakers; he was pretty sure their leader was still out there somewhere. "So what was earth like anyway?"

Bow quarks a brow "You were there the same time I was. You should have a decent idea of what it was like from your interactions with it." he points out "You guys should get your gear ready. You have less then an hour." he says, but doesn't move out himself.

Ace frowns as she starts off "He seems confident in his abilities..." she mumbles. But then, Bow's always been over confident in his abilities.

Reizo didn't think it was possible to really know a place in less then a day; not unless your mind worked like a super computer and you can digest and take a massive amount of experience in a short time. It wasn't really fair to judge that quickly, least in his mind.

He didn't remark on Bow, they would see one way or the other. "I honestly don't know what 'gear' would even be for this kind of thing." There was certain capsules he supposed, normally it wouldn't matter with this kind of strength gap but luckily Mistie wasn't just trying to flatten them.

Ace thinks for a moment "I would suggest some strength capsules as well as some healing capsules and Maybe an Essence of Senzu." she says as she brings up her inventory, checking her zenny and items "Most of my gear is based on team support and healing... this is going to be a tough battle for me..." she mumbles.

Yin walks over to the two "You know, strategy is just as important as actual fighting." she says "If we don't fail by calling in the Enforcer, then use that to your advantage and play to your strengths." she points out.

Reizo scratched his head briefly, thinking. "True. It's what I was taught before I got here. I don't have any technique's that aren't straight forward so makes it hard for when I go against anyone a lot stronger then myself."

Yin clenches her little fists in determination "Come on, guys! We have all been training our butts off, right? So let's go and show them the results of our training! she says as she pulls out a small capsule and tosses it to the ground. It had a hover board in it, and Yin hops on and takes off!

Ace looks back to her old teammate, then over to Reizo "Well, for a Human, she's got a lot of spirit." she mumbles as she looks back to Mistie "I'm going to hold off for a moment and talk with Mistie for a bit. Try to get the full rules of this test." she says as she heads back.

Yin acted a bit more like a Alusarian then he did, well some of them anyway since like most races people weren't a monolith. In the mean time he was going to buy some healing capsules/

Yin was in the market buying some healing capsules as well as some strength capsules. She was also looking into some new stat boosting accessories. Lamp, for her part, was buying candy, as usual. Bow actually shows up and was looking at the healing items, he was considering buying some instant and lingering health items.

Reizo didn't pay the others much mind, they were here all for similar reasons. He got what he needed to get, so he could wait until he was called.

Even after he had gotten his stuff, Reizo had to wait the whole hour, just like the others. Ace was quietly waiting, Lamp was eating, but both Yin and Bow were starting to get impatient. Wendy was also waiting there, quietly. Mistie was getting the area ready.

Mistie told Ace that they would be able to watch the others tests so they can pick up any pointers that might help them 8n their own tests.

A little before the hour deadline was up, Mistie returns "Okay, are we all ready?" she asks.

Yin looked pumped as she clenches a fist "Hell yeah! Let's get going!" she says with Great enthusiasm.

Bow nods as well "You bet your cute ass I am! I've been waiting for this moment for a while now." he says, smacking a fist into his hand.

Ace just nods and Lamp says something that Sounded like an acknowledgement, but her mouth was full at the time.

Reizo had gotten what he needed to so, really, there was no point in dwelling on it anymore. "Yeah, I'm ready."

Karine and her brother glanced at each other briefly before the former spoke. "I and my brother are fine to go."

Mistie nods "Okay then. Everyone follow me to the training area." she says as she starts off. She decided that she would use a vehicle, rather than fly.

Yin followed her example, as she hadn't gotten her flying permit yet. Lamp long since had hers, as did Ace, so they lazily floated behind the group.

It doesn't take them too long to get to the training area "Okay, now before we go in, I want you all to know that this test Isn't mandatory. So if you feel like bowing out until you feel you're ready, there's no shame in doing so now." she says "But once you walk past this door, you're in this test 'til the end. Understood?" she asks. Ace was more then ready, as was Yin. Bow was a wall. He gave away Nothing, oddly enough.

Reizo wasn't sure why, maybe it was the Alusarian in him and getting more comfortable in his own skin over the past year but part of him was looking forward to it. Despite, or maybe because of the big challenge. "Yeah, I'm fine with going."

Karine was thinking for a bit as she didn't answer instantly. "I have decided for now not to enter until I feel I've reached a level I'm satisfied with. I can't speak for my brother."

"I've reached the same. I'll come to later." There were a few things he wanted to accomplish first before he got it and he knew his sister felt the same.

Mistie didn't understand that line of thinking on their part. From what she could tell, aside fron Lamp, those two were the strongest of the group "Alright, if that's what you want, you can go." she says as Wendy does something on a small data padd.

"Okay, for everyone else, follow me through here and we'll get started." she says as she heads into the training area.
