The New Era Empty The New Era

Post by Sion Reaver Tue Jul 26, 2016 12:05 am

They had finally got here, to Tokyo though it had taken Quite a long ways away from where they had been originally but it could have been a lot worse for Barioth and Clover. Though honestly he wasn't sure if the young woman could even get tired or if her stamina was insane like a normal Mystics. Draners were too but that was typically more trained ones then run of the mil civilians.

The other good news is hopefully Clover would get a few answers for herself once she got to a computer. After that, he wasn't entirely sure. For now though he was going to travel with them,

The first thing Clover did, was get some money and get some new clothes. She had never been in Tokyo before, or any other city for that matter. Still, she knew exactly where most everything was, thanks to get internet uplink.

She looks to Barioth "Now that we're here, and there has been no sigh of the man in red, will you leave to head back to your village?" she asks.

Barioth shook his head. "Perhaps a bit later, just not right this instant. If you don't mind, I would like to accompany you a bit longer. Unless of course you wish to part ways now."

Clover shkles her head "I have no objections to your request. The company would be welcome, since you're the only person that I'm familiar with." she points out "]Would you assist me in locating a strong wireless signal?" she asks.

"Of course. That's what friends are for. I believe I have somewhere you'll have luck at from what my friends at the village were saying." Barioth decided the best place would be where these wifi things were located at, which seemed to be things like nearby certain coffee shops and such.

So he asked someone for directions, thanking them before going along the way.

Clover looks over to one of the Many communication antennas "You know, after analyzing all these structures, I could simply fly up to one of these antennas and tap into the hardline to get a signal." she points out "It's not a problem. she says casually.

"If you can do it safely, then feel free Clover."

Barioth wasn't the most tech-savy person, in fact he had only learned how to use some of the more advanced stuff back home because it was something he needed to. It was just he was a bit old fashion in some of his ways, but even still he knew times were changing and he had to adapt.

After thinking some more things over, Clover points to a book store "Or, to avoid unwanted attention, we would go to that book store and see if they have anything that's informitive or useful." she says as she starts over to it.

"Its sound. I like that idea better."
A book store was naturally one of his favorite places to be, but besides that he planned on getting some apple juice, when he could find it. Simply put, Noreal didn't have apples but upon tasting apple juice for the first time, he felt sorrow so many would go without. He wasn't a religious person but apple juice had to be a Gift from the Gods for it to taste so good.

Once inside, Clover wanders around looking for anything useful. She didn't find much. She didn't even know what she was suppose to be doing, let alone how to find it. Whatever It was.

Still, she could keep looking. With her mobile uplink, she could patch into the internet whenever she wanted to... You know, once she got it working. Which, she supposed, is what she should be looking for how to do, at the moment.

To Barioth, the book store was among his favorite places to be since he always enjoyed learning new things when he could and then try to apply them in his life in some practical sense.

Clover picks up a manga and flips through it, before holding it up to Barioth "What is this thing?" she asks "It's like a book, but not." she points out.

It was kind of endearing how Clover wandered around finding things but not much seemed to catch her eye, except the manga in her hand. He smiled a bit. "Ah. That's called a manga, Clover. Just think of it as a book except there's drawn pictures to it. They're just for entertainment purposes most of the time." He doubt she be interested in it given what he was told but he always believed actions spoke louder.

So while she said she was emotionless, it was something he would have to truly see for himself over time.

Clover starts flipping through the pages and,in a few seconds, she puts it back "I am 98% certain that it was the main protagonist on girlfriend who committed the crime." she says as she gets volume two and flips through it.

She puts the book back a few seconds later and looks to Barioth "It seems I was incorrect in my assessment of the situation. The whole sequence of events was simply a dream." she says, evenly.

Barioth was a bit surprised. "You managed to read the entire thing and understand it, within only a few seconds?" He knew she wasn't a organic being(or at least not completely, he had no idea if she was completely no organic or not) but it still surprised him.

Clover nods "Yes. My brain is the equivalent of one million super computers or one quantum computer." she says.

She looks around the whole book store "If I were to do so, I could read every book in this store in little less then three hours." she points out.

"In precisely two hours, fifty-one minuets and fourty seconds. To be exact."

Barioth was thinking a bit, it was giving him ideas. "If that's the case, I think it might be a good idea for you to read some history and knowledge based things of this world. It would help a great deal."

Clover shakes her head "I already know the history of this world and of Elysium. Though, my records aren't as complete about this one as they are Elysiums." she points out.

She gives the book store the once over "I believe this store is mostly pop culture and recent times books such as.." she picks up a manga "These. I would need a better, more complete source of data, like a library." she states.

"Then we'l head to this library, it shouldn't be too difficult to find one around here." Hopefully. It was hard to say in his limited experience and he couldn't use his experience back home or other places he had been because they were different.

Clover shakes her head "I don't believe that will be necessary." she says as she walks over to the computer section.

It takes her only a few seconds to break the encription of the display laptop. She turns her modem on and pulls a plug from her hair band and plugs it into the computer.

The screen starts flickering so fast to many different things that the high def monitor couldn't keep up!

And neither could the underpowered laptop as it started to smoke!

"Clover, stop you're going to break it." Barioth warned, not wanting them to get into needless trouble. Sure both may have been strong but there was no need to draw negative attention like that.

Clover instantly stops her search and download and looks at her computer "Yes, I believe you're correct." she says.

She unplugs herself from the laptop "A miscalculation on my part. I thought the laptop could handle my computing speed. It would seem I am in error once again." she says simply.

"I don't make mistakes, I make miscaluclations. I had assumed that the level of technology was advanced enough to handle my download speed, since it's obvious that I was created here." she points out.

"I had started from the current timeline and was working my way back to the begining of recorded history, as far as the internet is concerned." she explains "I only managed to get to the mid seventeen hundreds. There's a lot of false information out there." she finishes simply.

Barioth would also point out that would have been the definition of a mistake itself but decided it wasn't worth a argument over. "I think that is true with a lot of things. Very often competing interest will either alter or try to write out certain events of history if it suits their agenda and most will never know it. History is written by the victors more often then not after all."
