Down Time?

The guards were waiting outside, like statues, never moving unless it was to escort Vira or her family somewhere and this instance was no different. So outside they waited.

It was decided they would all be heading to the Grand Hall again to visit, Kylie had wanted to go so of course Nikki came along as well. With the size and the people inside there was always be something or the other to do.

Indeed there was. It was the standard hustle and bustle of the Grand Hall. The lower Circle running the city and the upper Circle the rest of Elysium and the Arch Bishop in his office doing nothing really important.

Rosa comes wandering over to the group "Welcome back to the Grand Hall." she says with a smile "If I may ask the nature of your visit today?"

"Nothing important, its just a excuse to kill time." Hiromi glanced at the others. "The whole Nakeen family wanted to go so I came along."

"More or less, hope this wasn't a bad time?" Nikki questioned.

Rosa shakes her head "Of course you're welcome here. There's nothing really important going on at the moment. Did you have any place you wanted to see?" she asks.

"Myself and Vira just wanted to head to the garden, but other then that nothing spefic." Hiromi said.

"Is Alister around?" Nikki asked. "If not its fine."

Kylie was looking a bit more intently at Rosa before she came over and tugged her pants leg. "Could I get a dress like that? I could help you too!"

Rosa nods with a smile "Of course. I'll get someone to escort you to the gardens." she says, then looks to Nikki "Of course he's here. He's in his office. Would you like to make an appointment to see him?" she asks, then looks down to Kylie "I'm sorry, little one, but only maids can wear these." she says, apologetically.

"Oh..." Kylie had looked like someone had just ran over her puppy with a dump truck. Hiromi just comfortingly patted her head briefly.

Nikki nodded. "Yes, that would be fine thank you."

Rosa nods "As you wish." she says as she looks over at a guard. He nods and marches over "Ladies. If you would follow me. I will escort you to the gardens." he says in a ridged manner.

She looks to Nikki "Please feel free to accompany them to the gardens. I will find you when I have news of your appointment with the Lord Arch Bishop." she says with a smile.

"Thank you Rosa, I'll take you up on that." Nikki said to the young Mystic before going to follow after the guard, who seemed a bit on the stiff side. That was fine though.

He leads them to the gardens. There were many people there as well as a seminar of some type. The guy on stage wasn't saying anything, just moving through the motions of doing something.

There were even some people eating their lunch out in the gardens and someone was celebrating their one thousandth birthday.

Nikki and the others went to make themselves comforable, Kylie wanted to see some of the various flowers and the like. Hiromi on the other hand just went to relax and was talking to Vira about various things.

So far, it seemed the young woman was recovering relatively well for her loss. It was just a day at a time thing.

The guard looks down to Nikki "My Lord Arch Bishop will see you now." he says "Follow me, please." he says as he starts out of the garden.

Nikki excused herself and went to follow after the guard to where Alister was.

The guard leads Nikki to the Arch Bishop's office, there he opens the door and escorts her in. IN the next room was Alister's Actual office and he was doing some paper work when the guard announced Nikki.

Alister stands to greet Nikki "Ah! Welcome, Mrs. Nakeen. Please, have a seat." he says as he motions for her to have a seat as one of his maids walks in with some drinks "What may I do you for this day?" he asks.

Nikki smiled but shook her head. "Oh, nothing. I just wanted to spend some time with you. I hope this isn't a bad time?"

Alister shakes his head "Not at all." he says with a friendly smile "I am expecting a delegate from Outworld later. Apparently the Shokan are talking about engaging in peace talks." he says "You know, boring stuff." he's trying to pass it off as if it didn't matter, truth was, he was kinda nervous about these 'peace talks', but he hid it well.

Nikki nodded a bit to that. "I'm glad it seems to be working out. From what Vira told me, there had been some issues of a certain someone trying to steer conflict with your respective races."

Alister nods "Yes and although we've had out suspicions about whom it is, we now have concrete proof about his identity." he says in a tone that sounds almost like disgust.

Alsiter clears his throat "And speaking of, how is your daughter?" he asks "She seemed very broken up about what happened to the Shokan Prince." he says.

Nikki wasn't sure how to answer that, she thought about it a bit longer before just going with her honest accessement. "She's...doing as well as she can be. When with us and during the daylight she's fine but other times she'll be brooding in her room or just staring outside at night. I know from experience that while everyone handles loss differently, its not..good for the mind to constantly think about it. Idle hands and all that; so I try to keep her busy. She's a very strong woman though, she'll bounce back completely I'm sure. I think being off earth and some place completely different will be good for her."

Alister nods slowly "She's your daughter, so you would know best. Still, when this ambassador of the Shokan comes, I would feel much better if your family would remain indoors." he says "For safety reasons. I don't anticipate this ambassador staying very long." he points out.

"I understand. Do you know when he'll be coming? I Don't want to take any chances with my daughter being found out." Nikki pointed out. "Hiromi should be all right since she isn't involved or related though, I think."

Alister nods slightly "Later this afternoon is all I heard. Not to worry, I'll know when he gets here and I'll have one of my maids wing-walk you back to your house." he says "So, onto a happier topic. If it's not too bold of me to ask, what do you enjoy doing for fun?" he asks.

That was a good question. Nikki decided to start off simple.

"Me? We'll depends but music is one of my bigger passions, either making it or listening to it. I had to slow down with the former after Vira was born. What about you?"

Alister thinks for a bit "What I get enjoyment out of, I would have to say, is helping others." he says "That was a lesson I learned from one of my new friends from Earth." he says with a smile.

"Earth..such a strange place and Humans, they're an oddity. They're everything we're not. I can see why The Mighty Galford favors them over his other creation..." he mumbles.

Apparently, the Mystics were under the belief that their God had created both Humans and Mystics. The former being created afte he had abandoned the Mystics to their fate.
